It was early morning when she awoke, lying comfortably between the bodies of her four husbands. Early morning enough that in this winter the sun had yet to begin filtering into the room through her shut curtains.
It was even a rare morning where Alexander had slept in and not left for the gardens yet.
She grinned a little bit at the thought that he must have been quite worn out for that. Even on the occasions she woke up early like this, she almost never caught her early-rising husband still sleeping.
He looked...sweet.
Peaceful.
A slight weight shifted onto her belly, and little plodding steps traversed up from her waist to her chest.
Snowball stared down at her face.
She laughed softly and booped his little pink nose.
He purred.
"Good morning, my sweet little baby." She whispered. "Did you sleep well?"
Snowball simply bumped his head into her chin and flopped on his side.
