You might be wondering: Why would Toneri disguise himself?

Well, like a certain femboy once said: "To silently disappear at the matter's conclusion, concealing one's name and contribution. For it is the chivalrous thing to do, and the amplest reward to do."

Meaning everything Toneri doesn't need to be known by everyone and can be sometimes done in the dark. It is but a foolish yet noble deed.

That, and/or evading the payment for the collateral damage he's about to do.

Probably the latter.

As for the appearance he picked... It was a character from a game he played back in his previous life. This particular character is known by many names in that game; The God of Contracts, Geo Archon, Rex Lapis, Prime Adeptus, and so on.

As for the reason he was picked as a disguise? Simple really. In the game, this character's ultimate skill/Burst skill lets him drop a literal meteor from the skies onto his enemies.

And you may now know where this is going...

As for the clone he sent earlier, it was so that no one would suspect him, and sent it to deal with the nearby giants.

Toneri was looking at the giant guarding the massive hate behind it and thought to himself 'If I can finish this quickly, maybe I can meet the chained monarch inside...'

Toneri wasn't particularly planning to do anything with the monarch. He would just simply inspect him and see if he could find something useful or to extract some information that wasn't mentioned in the original series. All in all, he was driven by curiosity.

Curiosity, AND the thought of fighting a monarch. 'Can I really defeat a monarch? If I can, then that would be awesome. Even Sung Jin-Woo, who fought the monarch of beginning had a hard time. And the monarch was even at a sealed state!'

A sweat slowly ran down Toneri's neck as he slowly curve up a small smile. 'This gonna be fun...'

After that, he leaped off the building and headed toward the giant down below.

In the sky, the familiar helicopter that was carrying the two reporters was present.

"Whoah... Are you getting this?" Asked the person beside the cameraman

"Yeah..." Answered the cameraman

The thing these two were focusing on was the legions of shadow ants that were swarming a giant, eating it bit by bit. The two of them recognize the shadowy creatures, it was the creatures summoned by Hunter Sung Jin-Woo

The person beside the cameraman suddenly started shouting and reported the situation live.

He held up his mic and started reporting the situation. "DEAR VIEWERS! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS SIGHT?!"

The cameraman lowered the camera and the reporter continued "HUNTER SUNG JIN-WOO'S SUMMONS ARE CURRENTLY FIGHTING THE GIANTS!"

The camera focused even more on the giant's body where the shadow soldiers were peeling off its skin. "THE GIANTS ARE BEING DEVOURED!"

Meanwhile, in Maryland, US, three S-Rank Hunters were eating a delicious steak that was served to them.

"Hey, look Hunter Sung Jin-Woo went to Japan." Said one of the men

The person who was drinking some wine replied "I heard that he didn't get any upgrade from Ms. Selner. Only that kid named... Tomer? Whatever his name was... But his hair was white."

The persona who was eating his steak quietly stopped eating and added to the man's sentence. "He'll die, for sure."

"Who? Sung Jin-Woo or the white-haired kid?" Questioned the man as he finished drinking his wine and started eating his stake again

"Sung Jin-Woo, obviously. Dumbass."

"Oh."

They ate quietly for a full minute before one of them started another conversation. "All of our powers were amplified by Ms. Selner."

He then added, "He should know full well how limited a hunter's powers are."

"As for Hunter Otsutsuki Toneri, well, he's not showing anything worthy of us inviting him to the scavengers guild yet."

The person who was saying his stake finished and smirked. "Let's ignore the small-fry for now, it's obvious that he's too weak to show anything to us."

He added, "Let's focus on Sung Jin-Woo. That bastard is definitely overestimating his strength. Does he really think that those giants are the same as those ants from Jeju Island? Hehe..."

After that statement, all of them smirked and chuckled for a bit. Betting on how long Sung Jin-Woo will live.

But they were interrupted when the person on the flat-screen tv suddenly focused the camera on something else.

The three of them looked at the screen and pondered what the cameraman was focusing on. They heightened the volume using a remote and the reporter's voice resounded.

"THERE! DO YOU SEE IT?!" Shouted the reporter

The camera focused on the center of Tokyo where the giant guarding the gate is. And about a kilometer away from the giant, a lone figure was floating.

He had dark brown hair that is styled in a windswept fashion with a longer fringe that hangs from the right side of his face. And his attire was... Bizarre. It looked elegant but at the same time, ancient. But nonetheless, the outfit's elegance is not overshadowed in any way.

The camera focused more on the man's face and not only him but also everyone who was watching almost couldn't believe their eyes.

The man's face shows no expression at all but his temperament which shows how reserved he is.

As for the women who were watching, they were just staying because they were either worried or curious about Japan's situation. However, this man's sudden appearance is almost as the same as giving them a delicious eye candy!

Then, the man's mouth opened and spoke while keeping his eyes closes: "This is an age of gods and monsters."

His voice was calm and elegant. Like flowing water in the mountains. But it was loud enough to be heard by the giant guarding the gate and the viewers.

And Sung Jin-Woo, who was also watching the strange man, got shocked as he figured out the man's subtle words.

'He knows about the Rulers and Monarchs!' Sung Jin-Woo thought

'An age of gods and monsters... He must be referring to the rulers in the former and the monarchs in the latter... Who is he?' Sung Jin-Woo added

The man paused for a while and continued. He opened his eyes as he spoke: "I wish not for dominion, yet I cannot watch the common folk suffer."

After these words, the man slowly placed his left hand on his back and the other raised.

Loud tremors appeared and the ground shook. Pieces of Tokyo started floating upwards to the sky. From small pieces to large boulders, it did not stop.

Everyone nearby and watching are getting nervous. But the man did not stop.

It was only that a giant meteor-like rock was formed in the sky which did not take anymore than 2 minutes to form appeared on top of Tokyo.

Everyone watching was silent. No one knows what this mysterious person is about to do. Even the nearby hunters were getting ready in case this person will further the destruction.

Sung Jin-Woo took out two daggers and summoned half of all his shadow soldiers, filling the land with dark creatures.

'What is he gonna do?' This is not just Sung Jin-Woo's thought, by also everyone's.

With a loud voice, the man's voice was heard everywhere because of the silence. "I will have order!"

His arm lowered as the giant meteor fell down to the giant monster guarding the gate.

*BOOM!*

A huge shockwave appeared. And an ear-deafening sound was all everyone could hear. It was so loud that it even made some of the people's ears bleed.

No one was able to stop it. The giant meteor fell down to the giant monster and smoke filled the entirety of Tokyo.

Sung Jin-Woo, who recovered the quickest, immediately searched for the man.

However, he could not find him anywhere. 'WHERE IS HE?! That destructiveness... Just who was that?'

At this very moment, everyone who watched this scene will forever remember the destruction the man had caused.

He came with thundering destruction and left with no trace at all.
