Meeting the Emperor
I can hear a group of soldiers hurdling towards the direction I was in . I tried to lift my head upwards, but the force steppling me against the ground was unbearable.
" Hisashi , get off that culprit and hand cough him right away " a tall , young black haired guy wearing blue-black leathered outfit, with two mulberry swords hanged on his waist orderd .
The Guy stepping on my back with his feet dragged me up ruthlessly and pulled my wrists to hand cough me when " [ gasps.. ] Hisashi !! that's no way to treat a young woman " another guy who had hazy blond hair and shimmering green eyes , wearing the same outfit like the other soldiers gently pulled me away from the man behind me.
" woman ?? " Everyone seems to be confused, for they had no idea I was a girl .
" Sorry for our rude behaviour miss , my name is Yakeru kaito and the one who tackled you there is Hisashi Kenji " The Blond one introduced.
" and...? what's your name? "
" sh..Shinzuko A__. "
" [ grumble ] Sir !! this is the girl who let the thorn head demon escape " the man whom I thrashed with a rock earlier pointed his fingers towards me.
" Is that true ! "
The acidity of the black haired man's voice made me flinch .I started rubbing my palm nervously while looking towards him .
" Come on kuragari , you're scaring her to death " said Yakeru while patting my shoulder. I slowly turned towards Hisashi and he quickly averted his gaze in displeasure as our eyes met .
" You'll be detained for a while since letting a demon escape isn't an easy crime "kuragari ( I suppose) locked my hand coughs tighter than already is .
" But Sir !! it's a misunderstanding . I thought that gaint man was harassing the poor old lady , plus I was trying to help the weak . I really don't know why I'm here , but I definitely don't belong in this primitive world "
listening to my story , kuragari walked calmly towards me and bent to level my height . He stared directly to my eyes which made me feel a bit awkward.
" well , she isn't lying, but we can't let her go without the Emperor's dissicion "
" we'll have to keep you detained until it's your turn to get the dissicion , But I don't understand , if not here then where are you from ? " asked Yakeru as he examined me
" Are you a Devine being ? shrine ? or maybe categorized as the enlightened ? "Yakeru added
" I.. I'm actually none of those , I'm a human being " As I uttered those last words everyone let out a gasp . I must've startled them by what I said ,but why so surprised , aren't we alike ?
" A human ?? in the Jade Emperor's Land !!? " Hisashi walked towards me in rage and ill temperedly grabbed my wrist . He clutched my wrist even tighter that it started bleeding. I was able to see him clearly now since he is right in front of me and not stepping on my back .
He has short black hair with surprisingly blazing Heterochromia eye colour ( one was saphire blue and the other was Cadmium yellow with hues of orange ).His outfit was same as the rest ,but he was holding a different type of sword. A champagne golden sword with nugget gold embroidery.
" Pathetic !! do you think we're moron's !! no human would ever enter into the Jade Emperor's land ! " he spoke in annoyance.
" Hisashi !!!! " Yakeru pushed Hisashi away by standing between us and told him to calm down .
Why is he being so hostile towards me, what have I done wrong? if it wasn't for Yakeru, my hand would've fallen off by now .
5 min later .....
The Situation seems to be less intense now that I'm tied up an unable to utter a single word .The soldiers took me to the prison of the Jade Emperor's castle or whatever they call it and I was locked up in a room which had a bed , bathroom and everything I needed to live.
An appointment was made by the Emperor for my case , but who new it would take forever.
I was detained for about 2 months now . I haven't heard any news about my case for 2 whole month and I'm starting to lose hope .
I don't know what happened to mom or where she is . All these days I've been simply sitting on my bed , sleeping for hours and getting nagged by Hisashi, who kept checking on me if I'm trying to escape.
Three more days have passed ,but I finally heard some news from soldiers guarding my door .
" Shinzuko Akira , You are now domineered to stand in front of Emperor Ryūjin and guided further with his dissicions "
Exiting my prison room , I walked with the soldiers towards the king's throne.I hope they'll find a way to return me back to my homeland, but what if they can't !!
Worst of all , what if they imprison me for life cause humans aren't allowed here.
Plenty worst case seniors roamed my head and made me restless like a cat on a hot tin roof.
The closer we moved to the Emperor's lodge the more nervous I got .
But what can I possibly do ?
The Soldiers proceeded by opening the Huge door which seems to be 10 feet high as we reached the Emperor's lodge.
I entered the place and the soldiers were no longer following, all eyes are on me the moment I entered .
I knew I get nervous and awkward when people stare at me ,but this is something else !
The Emperor who was sitting relaxed on his Marvelous throne had long black hair which reached his knees and gleaming white cloth covered with shades of blue flowers .His double eyelashes forming shiny curves and his dazzling blue eyes made my heart melt .
The Emperor raised his arm and hand upwards and smiled towards everyone in the vast spaced lodge. at that moment everyone bowed their head down to the Emperor except for me.
The Emperor placed his hands back on the throne and started the interrogation.
" May I ask why you haven't bowed down ? " His soft and calm voice was so relaxing that my anxiety fed away as if it didn't even exist before.
" [ whoosh !! ] Pardon Your majesty, this peasant has no idea of the rules and perceptions of this Land " Hisashi shoved my head to the ground and made me bow to the Emperor.
" Is that so ? any particular reason ? "
" Your honour, This Peasant here claims to be a genuine species of the human being " said Hiashi while plucking my shirt to lift me upwards.
As He finished his last words , the Emperor's eye widened and he froze in place .
" Human ? the chosen human !! " the soothing sound of his was shifted into voice of rage .
" Young girl , are you sure that you're not
mistaken ? No human has ever been here unless they're chosen to execute a specific mission and you don't seem to understand why you're here "
" I don't really know how I end up here , but the last thing I remember is that I was at the verge of death from an accident " I calmly replied ,
The Emperor stood up from his throne and walked down the short staircase , Doing so , he moved towards my direction as I lingered in my position.
Hisashi moved aside , The Emperor grabbed my face which was extremely small comparing to the enormous hand size of his , with his height completely covering me , a person standing behind the Emperor wouldn't realize I exist.
" Shinzuko Akira you truly are a human , but you're brought here by mistake " The Emperor let go of my face and walked back to his throne.
" Mistake ? "
" A human was chosen in order to restore the Jade Phoenix gem which will protect and repair our land. As you can see , our kingdom is falling apart , however the restoration of Phoenix gem would bring peace and protection to our Devine motherland .
A 30 year old strong man named Akito Shimizu was chosen to carry out the mission ,but there must've been a certain mistake during the samsara " The Emperor explained
" Well can it be undone or reversed ??" that's all I could say in this situation.
" Unfortunately it can't unless..."
" Unless what ! " my voice went brittle and my hopes where getting narrowed as the Emperor paused to my question, will I return back home or will I forever be sealed in this world as the only human ?
