I'm Not a Monster Tamer!

Steve seems to be your typical normal middle school student. One day, he gets killed and reincarnated to the Infected Havens, a world where humans and monsters coexist. Steve was granted the Monster Tamer System, and the system's objection was to force Steve to capture and tame strong monsters to make him the strongest tamer. However, it seems that Steve isn't as normal as he looks and seems to have a weird connection with the world of Infected Havens. On top of that, Steve refuses to say that he is a monster tamer and the system is in for a hard time... *This is just a hobby, so don't expect regular updates.*

Monster Training Trip

Steve took Charlene and Charlotte's hands and walked towards the gate. They were able to past through the gate without a problem and went inside the school building.

----------

Inside Classroom 6-A...

"Hello everyone, welcome to class. Are you excited today?" asked Mr. Blackwood.

The students all answered with a yes, except for Steve, who didn't say a thing.

"Well, you should be excited," said Mr. Blackwood. "Last week, the school had made a decision to take you all to the monster territory for some monster combat training. And I am happy to say that everyone had permission from their parents to go on the trip. Well, today is the day we will be going on the trip. You will have a chance to battle monsters and some of you might even catch some monsters."

"Hooray!" shouted most of the students.

"Okay, it seems that everyone is here today. The trip will last a week. Did all of you bring enough provisions to last you a week?" asked Mr. Blackwood. "If you didn't bring enough provisions or have any other problem, please say something now and we might be able to do something about it." No one said anything.

<Provisions? Hmm, let me think. Storage chain? So all of the things that I and my sisters need are in here? Yeah, that's enough things for 3 people to last a month. Not bad, system.> Steve decided to compliment the system for all the work that the system has done so that he wouldn't have to waste time on anything.

[It is my honor, my lord.] The system replied, a bit smug.

"Well, if no one has any problems, then let us go outside right now. The military vehicles that are supposed to pick us up for this trip and should be here right now," said Mr. Blackwood. He led the class out of the classroom, down the stairs, out of the building, and stopped in front of the gate. A row of military vehicles were parked in front of the gate.

These military vehicles were quite new. They had been created 5 years ago, but they had been employed with some of the latest technology during that time and were capable of resisting extreme temperatures. They could also handle quite a few attacks from silver quality 1 star level 20 monsters.

Mr. Blackwood turned around and spoke to the students. "This is the last warning. If you have a problem, say it now. If you do so after we arrive at the trip destination, you will be sent back home and you will miss out on this trip. So speak now before you regret it later." No one said a word.

"Well, if no one has any problems, then go on the vehicles. There will be 6 people on each vehicle. With 3 people in the back seats and 3 people in the middle seats. Are we clear?" asked Mr. Blackwood.

"Yes!" the students answered.

"Good, now, choose your groups and get on," said Mr. Blackwood.

Steve took Charlotte's and Charlene's hands and got on the second vehicle and moved to the back seats. After a while, 3 more students got on the vehicle and occupied the middle seats. The vehicle started moving. The 3 students all turned around and looked at Steve and the twins. They were all girls.

One of the spoke first. "Hi~. My name is Kimberley. You can call me Kim. These are my friends, Hazel and Locke."

Hazel and Locke spoke at the same time, "Hello, nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Charlene, and this is my twin sister, Charlotte," said Charlene, pointing at Charlotte. Charlotte smiled at them. Charlene then pointed at Steve. "He's our stepbrother, his name is Steve."

"Hello," said Steve. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Let's take care of each other on this trip, okay?" said Kimberley. "We all are only able to use like 2 iron quality monsters or 1 copper quality monsters, so it's much better if we stick to each other and help each other out."

"My brother can use 2 copper quality monsters," said Charlene.

"Wow, that's amazing! He already has enough spirit power to use 2 copper quality monsters at once?" said Hazel.

"Yes," said Charlene. "Although we've mostly been using them to get to school everyday."

Steve rolled his eyes. "You didn't have to say that."

"It's call being honest," said Charlene. Hazel, Kimberley, and Locke all laughed.

"I never said anything about lying. Not saying something isn't lying," said Steve. He wondered if the people in his family even know how to lie or not.

"Well, that's still pretty amazing," said Hazel. "Let's swap our monster cards so we can better work with each other." After saying that, she took out a monster card from her pocket and gave it to Charlene. Kim took out her card and gave it to Charlotte, and Locke gave it to Steve.

Charlene, Charlotte, and Steve accepted the monster cards. They took out their monster cards and gave them to Hazel, Kim, and Locke. Steve looked at the monster card in his hand.

----------

At the border of the monster territory, next to a military post...

The military vehicles that carried the students stopped 20 kilometers inside the monster territory. The students, Mr. Blackwood, and some soldiers got out of the vehicles. Mr. Blackwood gathered up all the students into a group while the 12 soldiers that had gotten off the vehicle stood in a line.

Mr. Blackwood explained the procedures and rules to the students. They were supposed to split into 6 groups of 6 students and 2 soldiers. Following that, most of the students split up according to the groups they had made when they got onto the vehicles. It seems that they had all agreed to be in the same group if it was possible. Naturally, Steve, Charlotte, Charlene, Kimberley, Hazel, and Locke were in the same group. They had two soldiers, named Dover and Elden, in their group.

The groups then had to choose a student as a leader of their group for this trip. Steve got chosen as the leader of his group, not because he was the only male student, but because Steve had two copper 5 stars quality cards and was the strongest in his group. Mr. Blackwood then gave each group a red wristband that only had one button. He then also gave the leader 5 red wristbands that had nothing on them.

"This is only for emergency situations," said Mr. Blackwood. "If you encounter any monsters or other dangers that your group can't handle then press the button on the wristband immediately. The wristband will activate a GPS function that will allow us to track where you are and we will go there to help you as fast as we can. Try to avoid the monster if you can but if the monster noticed your group, try to hold out for as long as possible.

"Only the leader's wristband has the button, so only the leader of the group can activate the function, but there is a GPS system on each of the wristband, so keep the wristband on your wrist at all times. The wristbands also has a life detecting function, and it will send out a signal if it cannot detect any life, meaning that the person wearing the wristband had either took the wristband off or hand been killed. It is important that you do not take the wristbands off."

After explaining everything to the students once again to make sure the students understood everything, Mr. Blackwood let all the students go their way. After that, the groups went their separate ways. The 6 groups were to move in 6 different directions, each about 10 kilometers away from the place the military vehicles had stopped.
