Chapter 17.

I didn't have time to write so a small chapter for you guys. I have to go to work.

The marine who told the pirates to leave this town was immediately on his knees as he felt a strong pressure which he never felt before in his entire life and it seems the other marines were feeling the same.

They felt dread in their whole body as the crew of pirates came closer to their place. They didn't want to die this early because of offending some pirates. They looked towards the leader of was also looking at them.

"We are pirates, not some bandits who would do your bidding. We would leave when we felt like it and you don't have anything on us to order us around".

Luffy told them before going outside the pub along with his crew members. Luffy didn't even pay attention to Coby who was standing there.

After this, they all left for the port as they want to leave this town immediately. Nami was quite uncomfortable seeing this happening with some marines however she thought that Luffy was also correct because if there were other pirates instead of us they would have most likely kill these marines.

As they reached the port of the town they saw a ship which was quite big for four people. It was your local boat which could be found anywhere. The boat was taken by Makino when she was wandering the town due to her speed Coby didn't even saw her do anything.

They all went to the ship while Luffy helped Nami to climb the boat. She has that bag of money with her so it was quite difficult. Zoro took the corner seat for himself and slept soundly.

Makino with Luffy went to the other corner to rest till they reach the next island. Luffy rested his head on Makino lap while she ruffled his hair. Nami also joined them and sat near the Makino location.

The anchor was lifted by townspeople who were close to the ship. They were the people who knew how much good deed they had done for this town despite being pirates.

When their boat started to sail towards the next island many marines came to the port and started saluting to them. Even though Luffy had done that act they still held respect for his work for them. They were finally free after getting rid of their captain Morgan.

Even Coby was standing there with the marines though he looked quite awkward because Luffy had completely ignored him in some moments before. He still saluted him though he felt happy when Luffy looked at him for a second from laying down again.

"Why did you ignore him Luffy?"

Makino asked him while continuing to massage his head.

Luffy opened his eyes and looked towards the sky for some moment before closing them again for some reason. He took a deep breath before speaking to her.

"He is too idealistic for his good. He is the kind of guy who wouldn't fit in both categories in this world. Do you think the higher-ups in the marines would not notice his actions?"

Luffy said to her which made both Nami and her think seriously before agreeing on with him.

"Maybe in the future, he might even go against me for some stupid reason so it was best to ignore him completely".

Luffy said again before finally sleeping for this time. Makino kissed him on his forehead before looking at Nami who was blushing due to the public affection she has shown.

"So what is our next destination Nami?"

Makino asked while looking in the front of the ship. Nami saw her map before looking at the weather.

"Our next destination would be Orange town though I heard some powerful pirates have taken over that town".

Nami said to Makino who nodded at her.

Then they started to talk to each other again. It was again their girl's talk which was about mainly food and dresses. The sense of fashion was not lost in this world. The women in this world like to dress well though they don't like to put makeup on their face except for some.

After some time everyone woke up and ate food which was brought by Nami during her stay on the last island. She has packed many things which could last long on the seas however everything was finished in just one go. The people of this world like to eat more food because of the nutrients it provides them.

Nami told them not to worry about the food as they were quite close to their destination. She told them about the pirates which were residing in the town and were constantly harassing the local people.

The marines never came to the town to save the people as they have more urgent work to do which was their reply for the help. The marines even told them that they should be at least because they are alive and not dead.

The other three didn't react to this because they have seen worse than this. It was not that bad when you compared it to the conditions of the outside world in the Grand Line. Those people are living a worse life than these people of the town.
