I'm Lesley

Mr Lewis was driving around, he made a pit stop to make a phone call to his little Amy to make sure she hadn't burned down the house yet.

He stopped at the back of an AI government company.

"Hello Amy, should I call the fire department?"

"Dad why do you want to call the fire department."

"Because this is the first time I'm leaving you alone without a baby sitter."

"Dad, I'm 13, 13 about turning 14. Why do I still need a babysitter?, it's not like you hire any hot guy or cool teenage girl. You just hire ladies with moles that are disgusting... " Something else caught his attention, while Amy was still running her mouth like tap water on the phone.

Someone was throwing a robot into a recycle bin, he knew it would be trespassing, if he were caught he'd be thrown in jail but he was willing to take the risk, he was a scientist and if he smelled science, he had no choice but to follow it.

"Amy I'll call you later."

"Or maybe not." Ami says sarcastically.

He got out of his car, he decided not to be sneaky so he just waltz in there, he was quite lucky that the security went on a potty break.

He picked the robot and waltz out of there, put it in his car and drove off.

Amy was chatting with her friend, she saw her dad's car light flashing outside.

"Darn it, he's back. What's he carrying?, Is that a robot?, that's cool. But wait were did he get the robot from? " she says then she gets up from the couch and she opens the door before her dad did.

" Dad where did you get robot from, cause I'm sure you can't you can't afford it."

"Amy!"

" Dad?"

" Please don't tell anyone about this....." before he could say anything else Amy cuts in.

" Did you steal it?"

" It's not actually stealing, they government were gonna throw it away, so I actually trespassed and got the robot from the bin."he says the last sentence quietly and awkwardly.

"But I thought the government had a tight security how the hell did you get in?"

"That's a long story and why does it feel like you're reprimanding me."

"Did you get dinner?" she changes the topic so that her dad will forget about the chores, he gave her earlier.

"Yes and...." he turns to look at the kitchen and sees it untidy.

"Busted" she said awkwardly.

"Clean up the kitchen or I won't make dinner," Amy hoped that he wouldn't ground her or collect her phone.

"You're not getting your phone for a week." he collects her phone.

"But dad..."

"No buts. Clean this mess before 8pm or you will be grounded for 2 weeks." he leaves with the robot.

At least one of that week I will get my phone, she thought.

"Without your phone." he shouts from the room.

Oh shoot, I will be without my phone for two weeks. Amy thought.

"At least I have enough time before 8pm. What's the time now," she checks their wall clock.

"7:32, that means I have about 28 minutes to clean up this mess."she hurries to the kitchen and cleans up the mess.

Mr Lewis was working on the robot it was almost looked like a human, he decided to make it like it's dead wife Elizabeth or Lizzy.

"Dad, I'm done, you can come and make supper."

" 8:07, 7 extra minutes, I'm busy so order pizza."

" But dad I really wanted some..."

" Order pizza and your punishment is lifted, get your phone and order it." Amy carries her phone and leaves the room. " Oh, and some coffee."cause I'm gonna be here all night, he thought.

" Ok dad, I'll get you your usual."she shouts.

Mr Lewis jams up with some music and starts working on the robot. After sometime Amy brings some pizza and his coffee to the room while he worked on the robot.

In the morning, Mr Lewis slept on a chair while the robot was on the bed. He glasses was crooked, he's hair messy and he had some eye bags under his eyes for staying up all night while working on the robot.

The robot was fully charged and it booted up.

" Good morning Dr Lewis." she says in a Siri like voice.

He wakes up , wears his glasses well and use his hand to arrange his clothes.

" Good morning, It's Mr Lewis not Dr Lewis I'm retired." Amy walks into the room.

" Dad, I'm ready let's go, I don't wanna be..." She sees the robot and that made the juice she was drinking fall from her mouth but it didn't touch her clothes.

" Did you bring mom back from the death?, I knew you were crazy but I didn't know you could be like mad. Is she like freaking frankinstein?"

" No it's the robot." she made a realization face.

" But why make her look like mom."

" Cause I don't want people to start questioning me about her I'll just say she's l and Lizzy's daughter that we gave her to your mom's sister to take care of her. So that Lizzy is dead she brought her back."

" But mom didn't have a sister."

" That's the point."

" I get it, what's her name?"

" I'm x-amine 1379." The robot said.

" Nope you're not. What rhymes with Lizzy?"he said.

" How about Lesley," Amy said

" Good enough, so from now till forever you're Lesley."

"She looks so real. But she doesn't sound like a human. I'm guessing you still have a lot to do with her but first drop me in school."

"Wait, let me go freshen up." he leaves to the bathroom.

"Don't bother, it's not like anyone will wanna date you." Amy says sarcastically. Lewis glares at her.

She sit with the robot. " I'm not lying, Lesley what are the chances of dad getting a date."

" 30 to 0 chances." Lesley says.

" see, out of 100 you have only 30. Don't glare at me I'm sure you programmed her not to lie."

" I'm done, let's go." he gets his car keys while Amy carries her backpack to follow him.

" Bye Lesley."

"Shutdown Lesley." he says and Lesley close her eyes and shuts down till when Mr Lewis comes back to work on her.
