28 I'm Rock Hard

Beetle, Josephine, and I are sitting in the main atrium of our new headquarters.

Dusty shafts of light stream through the main sunroof, and the central well on the bottom floor still looks grand, despite being looted of the intricate carvings that once adorned it. Even with the decay, the tall building is still majestic.

I have just recounted the events of last night and we are discussing the future of The Sinclair Trading Company.

Josephine, the receptionist I hired a week ago has already started to prove her worth, she is providing insightful information to the situation I am currently in:

"YOU BROKE INTO DUCHESS AMBROSAS MANSION AND MARRIED HER???"

"Uhh, yeah you could say it like that! And look, I got the deed!" I say, feeding Floofy some biscuits.

Beetle is looking at me in reverence and disbelief, "Teach me your ways, I want a Wealthy Mrs. Beetle too!" he utters out.

"Of course young padawan, but you must not turn to the dark side of the rizz," I reply.

"So now that I have the deed, the embassy is ours, right?" I say, turning to Josephine, whom I recently learned has a good understanding of Hylian law and politics from her old job.

The receptionist replies,"Oh my fucking- look, Hyrule has a very simplistic legal system, so possession of deeds do hold a lot of power, which is usually why they are kept in very safe locations. But the Duchess could still retake the embassy if she knows it is missing, because of her sheer political power."

My new customer service head continues explaining in an exasperated tone, "But you didn't write your real name on that certificate, right? So we will most likely be able to fly under her radar."

"Yeah, Amborsa is now married to Chadwick Dickleton the sixty ninth. But let's say I get a good noble ranking and have the deed, then she won't be able to retake the embassy, even if she sees it's missing?"

"Yes, but its not so simple to get a noble title first you have t-"

I toss my Royal Guards seal to Josephine, which she catches and examines, her eyes growing wider with each passing second.

"YOU are the late King Rhoam Hyrule's royal knight?!" She shouts out in disbelief.

"I didn't believe it either," says Beetle.

"Even if the Duchess figures out Mr. Dicklesburry is me, I will be able to keep the embassy with my supa Royal guard identity and the deed. All I have to do is not show my face too much, which I was already planning not to do, maybe cut my hair or something, and we can vibe on!"

Josephine sighs, "You know, you are still technically married to her if that certificate goes through, luckily it isn't binding. At least for the man in the relationship," she grumbles.

Now that that's taken care of, we talk business. To fix up the building to a decent degree, we need 10,000 rupees, after selling the contents of my cart and using the money from that viscount, we have 6000 rupees, if we want to hire employees to make products, we will need even more money.

This company is going to be my true power base. My real goal in making it is to give me the funds to travel around Hyrule, meet the game characters and see cool locations, build new tech, and give me a powerful backing. Oh and also help me defeat Gannondorf I guess.

I put Beetle in charge of finances, and Josephine in charge of hiring miscellaneous employees. I am in charge of finding workers for the company, and making 5000 rupees by the end of the week, which is when our official opening is, and coming up with a product to sell. I definitely need more people to do my job for me.

Before all that, I first need to deal with this dry well problem.

I put Floofy in my backpack, making sure his lazer cannon is fully charged, and suite up, donning my bearskin cloak, and strap my revolver and bandoleers around my body, lastly, I sharpen my sword with a wetstone.

Before jumping into the well, I attach the Zippy 6000 to the side of the pit, and begin rappelling down, into the darkness.

The well is deep and somehow even more dry dusty than the air in Kara Kara city, by the time I reach the floor, the reel of chord inside the Zippy is almost gone.

I'm in complete darkness, so I summon some fire mana, and illuminate a twenty foot area around me. I would try to lighten the whole cavern, but I still haven't cracked the mana blockade that limits my power on my flame, and I just reached the blockade with my wind.

After a bit of walking, I spot a brush of Brightbloom seeds, which I recognize as a rare herb with the ability to make light.

I hold the seed in front of Floofy's nose, whistle a command, and off he goes. Soon, a pile of seeds are neatly stacked out in front of me, and I throw the goodest good boy a treat.

Floofy has grown big, like, very big. He is the size of a small brown bear, but his Floof makes him seem huge, I'm beginning to think that he has even more unusual traits than just his intelligence. In a few years I might be riding him into battle! That would be sick.

I tap one of the seeds with Samantha, and light floods into the dark space.

When my eyes adjust to the light, I see that I'm standing in a dried up underground river, sandstone rock collums support a fifty foot tall ceiling, covered in tan stalactites. My boots grind in the untouched sand as I explore the cavern.

I spot few more rare herbs down here, which I collect, before going to what seems to be the problem with this dry river. A mound of stone blocks the river entrance, allowing only a trickle of water into the dry ground.

When I start examining the stones, climbing on top of the pile, the ground starts to rumble, and after falling on my ass, I'm lifted off my feet high into the air by the pile of rock.

I realize that this isn't a couple of boulders, this is a Stone Talus.
