I'm in Hyrule? - A Zelda Fanfic.

Our main character is reincarnated into a Breath of the Wild/ Tears of the Kingdom mashup—lots of progressive strengthening of MC, possibly a sprinkle of r18 / romance. I can guarantee the story will get better as my writing skills improve. I am also going back and updating older chapters. I encourage all readers to give the first ten chapters a try!

Assembling DA BOYZ

With the river flowing, I begin to assemble the rewards of my fight with the Talus.

The Talus has given me a small mound of gems like diamond, ruby, topaz, sapphire, and amber, and some nice ores I haven't yet identified.

I will have to sell some of these materials to invest in Sinclair Trading, but I will try to keep most of them for my future tools and weapons, as each gem has unique elemental properties.

After weaving a net from the sparse fauna and materials from my many cloak pockets, Floofy, the loot, and I begin zipping back up the well.

When we reach the top, Beetle and Josephine are anxiously waiting for me.

"Are you Ok? A massive earthquake shook this part of the second ring a few hours after you went down. Luckily, this building is strong. Some of the cheaply constructed buildings were damaged," Josephine explains.

"Oh my bad, I killed a Stone Talus," I reply

"YOU WHAT?"

"Ooooh, lemme see the gems!" Beetle chimes in.

"What are you?" Josephine says with narrowed eyes.

"I'm just a man who is curious about interspecies intercourse."

I unfold the net, and we begin sorting the ores. Beetle takes out a small magnifying glass and begins to examine the loot.

After his examination, Beetle smiles and says, "Oh yeah, this will definitely be enough to top off our budget for repairs, materials, and initial hires."

We make a plan for Josephine and Beetle to continue hiring miscellaneous workers and to buy materials, while I go out to hire our core employees.

With some money in my pocket, I head out to begin scouting for talent.

I plan on hiring people from all four races in my company, which is very unusual because each of the races tends to keep to themselves. Each race has its own strengths and weaknesses, and with all of them working together, my company will be much more efficient than others.

Right now, I am looking for Gerudo, Rito, and Goron leaders and workers, only about ten from each respective race. There are basically no Zora in Kara Kara, due to the city being literally in the middle of the desert, so I won't be hiring ten of them.

I first go back to the Blacksmith, Garak, whose forge I rented a few weeks ago.

A small bell dings when I open the door to the shop, and Garak lights up when he sees me. We begin talking, but this time, I speak Goron, a language I learned from my studies under Uncle Rhoam.

"Aye, it's you again, lad! Wantin to rent out me shop again?" Garak greets me in hylian.

"Hey Garak, how's business?" I ask in goron.

Garak is shocked, "Wait, you speak Goron?"

"Yep!"

Garak picks me up in a crushing bear hug, completely dropping the polarity in his voice.

"A Hylian that knows Goron, I can't believe it! You are a brother now Goro! And what a noble accent you have!"

"That's good to hear Garak, how's business?"

"Ah, It's been fine, I can't complain."

"Whatdoya mean by that?"

"Well, a wealthy guy like you wouldn't understand. Us Goron are strong in the mines, and most of us dig for the gems of the desert under the watch of wealthy merchants. We only make a few green shards a month, barely enough for water. Someone with a shop like me is lucky, so I can't complain, but business isn't great."

"Well, Garak, I'm starting a company, and I'd like to hire you and ten Goron of your choice for you to manage. I will provide free housing, access to a well, and a pay of fifteen rupees a month for you and five a month for each of your workers."

"Ha! Wouldn't that be nice."

"I'm serious. Just come with me. I'll pay you for your time out of the shop."

Garak closes the smithery, and follows me to the old embassy. He seems surprised when I open the lock to the large gate.

"You bought the embassy? Why? That well went dry with the earthquake five years ago. Ye coulda just bought something nice in the third ring."

I smile and lead Garak into the embassy, walking him up to the well and pulling him up a bucket of cool, refreshing water.

Garak looks at the water suspiciously, swirls it around, then chugs it down in a few seconds.

His eyes widen and he lets out a little belch, "You where serious! Of course I accept, I will get you the strongest Goron in this city, Mr. Sinclair!"

Garak and I go to Beetle, and we fill out some paperwork. With my Goron leader hired, I proceed to the central market to find a Rito and Gerudo leader.

The central market is a unique area around a part of the Oasis, separated from the Palace by high walls.

There are specific rules for this area: no permanent structures, no segregation of races, and a few other safety laws.

I am looking for two characters from the game in this sea of tents and merchants; a rito named Guy and a Gerudo named Emri.

I stroll through the central market; there are no roads here, only paths carved out among the various merchant hawking their wares. I see cages full of exotic animals like geckos desert cats, and parrots. Sweet smells from coolers of ice cream powered with bits of saphire, used for its cooling properties, waft into my nose. The sounds of bargaining ring out around me, and my boots loosly grip the sandstone floor.

A group of kids bump into me, and I keep walking along the road. After thirty seconds of walking, I realize that my rupee pouch is gone.

I was distracted by the smells and sights of the central market, and those kids pickpocketed me!

I whistle to Floofy, and he starts pushing his way through the crowd, his nose sniffing after the trail of children. Nobody wants to get in the way of a massive white dog, so we are able to start running, and I catch sight of a line of small heads bobbing through the crowd.

I chase after them, and one looks back and yells to the others. We dash through the market, sliding under camels and vaulting over sandseals. These kids know the market, but I'm faster and have better reflexes.

I chase them through butchers and circus tents, before eventually coming up with a plan.

While acting like I lost the kids, I actually follow and keep track of them with mana enhanced vision.

They lead me to a large tent selling some pretty nice herbs, hydrofruit, palm fruit and mighty bannas. The kids hand my money pouch to an old lady standing outside, and she gives them some bags of food.

The old gerudo merchant has a tall stack of red hair and is dressed well. Combined with the wares she is selling, I recognize this merchant as Emri, a minor character from the games.

I. Want. STONES.
