When Audra's mum dies, she goes back home, even knowing she would finally have to face his first love, Chris – who’s also his foster brother. After what appears to have been a pretty painful breakup, they’ve been avoiding each other over the past 11 years. But will the pain of the loss bring them back together? *Audra's POV, past.
"No, it's okay, it's not my place to share any of this. Thank you for trusting me, I won't tell a soul." She turned to me; her face solemn. "I promise you, this time, Sophia is not gonna find out."
I nodded with a smile, thankful. After that, we both thanked her and sat on the couch.
"I'm sorry, I don't want to be too nosy, but then, is it a lie too that you're a couple?" Claire asked shyly, unsure if she was being a bit too curious.
"It's okay, yeah, we're pretending. Kyle knows about it too." I proceeded to give her a short version of what happened yesterday to explain things.
I didn't want to stall too long on that, so soon enough, I motioned Chris to talk, I thought it best that Chris told her directly about what he found about Kyle.
