Chapter 30: Mental and Physical

All 6 participants have no idea what the full picture of the puzzle looks like. It might be part of the test. There must be something with the puzzle, that's why. The test began. Everyone rushed to every location they could think of where puzzle pieces would be. Hopes and Dreams Private Academy has Three buildings for 1st, 2nd and 3rd years. The school has two typical cafeterias. One pool, one large gym and two storage rooms. There's also a building for the teachers. And an office for the principal.

Katsuo and Maki split up. Katsuo went to check out every third year's room. As for Maki, earlier, when she was eating with her friends. She spotted an X mark near the school cafeteria. Class D's Ishika and Getsu split up too. Also, Aira and Niko.

"I think it's about here..." Maki immediately searched for the X mark she saw earlier. It was around the entrance of the cafeteria. "Here it is!" She put a smile on when her eyes met the X mark. It was placed on a poster near beside the cafeteria's entrance. She ripped off the poster and found a puzzle piece taped behind the poster. It was a blank piece, a number was written behind it. She gave no thought about it and put it on her pocket. She then went inside the cafeteria.

The building for the third years was emptied. No one would be seen around. Katsuo began searching the stairs from the east. There was no signs of X mark, so he moved to the first room. Class A's room. Everyone's belongings were with the students. The room was empty of the students' things. The chairs and tables were properly arranged. And the board has nothing written on it. Just like the other test, Seth can only intervene and answer once. After that, he'll just keep on listening and watching what happens.

Katsuo looked under the chairs and the tables. Hoping that an X mark was hidden. One after the other. But it was futile. There was nothing under the chairs and tables. He looked through the lockers. One by one. In his first try, a piece of paper was written. "I follow you all the time and copy your every move, but you can’t touch me or catch me. What am I? What's this, a riddle?" He closed the locker and think about what the answer was. In his side was the window. The sun was past it's peak, but he could still feel the hot rays of it. It was blinding. He looked behind to see his shadow. It's because, that's the answer to the riddle.

There was nothing behind him, only his shadow. He became confused. He was hoping he would see a puzzle piece. "This piece of paper must be something the other students left behind." Katsuo threw it to the trash can, only to see the words written behind it. He quickly retrieved the paper back. "The school should just write that the puzzle piece was behind the third year building."
