Chapter 59: Piccolo vs Cooler

Cooler looked at the Namekian, extremely taken aback by what he had just said.

"That you're the one who killed my father? Don't make me laugh, you're just a simple Namekian!" Cooler scoffed but his opponent barely flinched.

"No, I'm a Super Namekian" Piccolo declared with a smile and took out two Senzu beans. First, he gave one to Goku, who had more serious injuries.

Shortly after Goku's eyes widened, realizing that the wounds on his body had healed and his Ki had been restored.

"Thanks for the help Piccolo, without the beans we would be dead now" Goku spoke scratching the back of his neck with a nervous smile on his face.

"When I felt that great power I came as soon as I could" Piccolo answered looking at Cooler, "But I doubt that this is all his power, don't you think?"

"Yes, I had that impression" added the saiyan seriously, and thought of one thing, "Did you bring some beans? We're going to need them"

"I have one left"

"Uh, if I had known I would have gone ask Bulma, when this is over I'll ask her to give me a whole bag" Goku spoke with a smile.

Bulma was creating more artificial senzu beans. As she gave a good amount to the Namekians she began to create more.

"Go give this bean to your brother... I'll go take care of that monster over there" Piccolo said giving him the seed before taking flight.

Goku nodded and crouched down to Raditz's height to do as the Namekian told him, meanwhile Cooler looked at them extremely stunned.

'How is it possible? They should be dead!' Cooler thought in disbelief and Piccolo appeared a few meters from him.

"I warn you beforehand that it won't be that easy to fight me" Piccolo got into a fighting stance, although he still had his heavy clothes on.

"I beat those two Saiyans without even using half my power, do you think you'll do better than them, Namek?" Cooler asked smiling.

This statement perplexed the two brothers, it meant that Cooler's strength was beyond his imagination.

"I don't think so, I know" Piccolo indicated before flying towards Cooler at full speed and extending his fist to hit him, but the demon countered it.

"If that's all your power, you don't stand a chance against me!" Cooler grabbed his left arm and forcefully threw him into the sky.

A blast of energy appeared in his right hand and shot at Piccolo, who crossed his arms to block Cooler's attack.

After that, a layer of smoke covered the area around Piccolo. But when it dissipated, he realized that Cooler had appeared before him.

PAM!

Cooler landed a powerful knee to Piccolo's abdomen and followed up with a heavy ax blow to the Namek's head.

Consequently Piccolo was thrown towards the ground but in the last seconds he recovered and the demon landed in front of him.

"It seems to me that the namekian was just bragging, the difference in powers is enormous" Raditz said crossing his arms.

"No, Piccolo was testing Cooler's strength" Goku replied seriously, "He's not one of those who talk nonsense, or well I think so"

Raditz looked at him doubtfully but concentrated on the fight. And it seemed that Goku was not lying, because there was no trace of fatigue in Piccolo.

Moreover, he began to remove the turban from his head and the cape. Goku understood that Piccolo was preparing to fight in earnest.

"You keep saying you'll beat me?" Cooler asked arrogantly but noticed that the Namekian was unfazed by his comment.

The only thing he did was smile before raising his power brutally leaving both Goku and his brother as well as the demon himself speechless.

The area began to shake from the power that Piccolo expelled, whose aura turned golden as well as his skin, which looked more illuminated.

"W-what the hell does this mean?!" asked Raditz puzzled, "His power has grown monstrously!" he exclaimed in disbelief.

"It seems to me that this is all his power, I never thought that Piccolo would be so powerful" declared Goku looking at who had been his enemy.

Piccolo exhaled with his eyes closed. When he opened them, he appeared in front of Cooler, who widened his eyes in surprise at his enormous speed.

PAM!

The Namekian gave him a powerful punch on the cheek making him take several steps back. He quickly flew away but Cooler suddenly vanished.

Piccolo looked around but didn't see him anywhere. And then he felt a strong knee to the back that knocked him off balance.

But quickly Piccolo did a somersault recovering but another blow to the back of him caused him to fall forward, 'How?!'

Cooler appeared trying to crush him with his huge leg, but Piccolo rolled several times and got away from the powerful cold demon.

'Damn, I couldn't see his movements!' Piccolo gritted his teeth as Cooler walked towards him, ready to go on.

"What's wrong? I'm still not fighting at my best!" Cooler exclaimed making Piccolo gasp quite stunned by that statement.

Flush!

And this time, it was Cooler who showed incredible speed. Piccolo couldn't react and watched helplessly as Cooler prepared his fist.

PAM!

The demon's fist hit his stomach causing him to spit blood and Cooler took his head smashing it against a mountain.

The mountain was destroyed burying Piccolo under the rubble of him. Cooler slowly walked towards him ready for the finishing blow.

"Piccolo!" Goku exclaimed with concern activating the Kaio-ken, as he knew that Cooler was superior even to Piccolo, 'I don't know what to do!'

Although his power had increased quite a bit after recovering, he was far from Cooler's power even with the Kaio-ken at its maximum.

He started to feel helpless but at least he was calmed by the fact that Piccolo stood up slowly putting two fingers to his forehead.

"That technique brings back bad memories!" Raditz muttered with a frown as he saw that Piccolo had started gathering energy in his fingers.

Cooler stopped immediately upon realizing that. "What do you mean Namekian?!"

"Finish you damn monster!" Piccolo declared with a smile, but suddenly a bolt of energy shot through his abdomen, "Coughh!"

Piccolo vomited blood falling to his knees, noticing that Cooler had shot that beam at him with the index finger of his right hand.

"Let me tell you that you are very wrong if you think that I am as stupid as my brother or my father" commented the demon bluntly.

They had died trusting, thus they were defeated. But he is not as naive as they are.

Cooler was aware of his brother Frieza's stay on Namek. He knew everything that happened there until the arrival of Captain Ginyu.

The scouter, in addition to measuring the battle power, also served to communicate with each other. And thanks to this he found out what happened.

Later he traveled with his soldiers to Frieza's planet #79, which served as the headquarters of the planet trade organization.

There, he learned that his father, Cold, traveled to Earth with the Ginyu forces, but that they lost both his signal and Frieza's signal.

And that meant that both had been defeated. If his opponents were Saiyans, it was impossible for them to have lost!

It didn't take long for him to come to the conclusion that only a Super Saiyan would be able to defeat Frieza, who was so afraid of that myth.

And the most powerful Saiyan in existence at this time was Son Gohan. That's why he had come looking for him on the planet where his father Cold his died.

"I see why you were able to beat my father, but you are far from equaling me" Cooler said pointing his hand to his face.

Cooler started to create an energy blast while Goku was on the verge of impatience and restlessness, "I can't watch this anymore!"

Goku lunged at Cooler with the Kaio-ken twenty times and landed a punch to Cooler's cheek sending him crashing into a mountain.

"Are you alright Piccolo?" Goku inquired, holding out his hand and the Namekian got up with difficulty, "That guy is very powerful!"

"H-he's stronger than he thought" Piccolo asserted standing up, "Th-this will be difficult"

He regretted not training more. He relaxed by doing light meditations but he couldn't be blamed, this situation was sudden for everyone.

"Yeah, and it reminds me of when we fought Raditz" added Goku smiling and Piccolo looked at him with a drop of sweat, although that was true.

"You know I'm listening to you, right? Idiot" Raditz intervened dryly, "Get ready, because here he comes" he added looking at the rubble.

Cooler took to the sky without any apparent concussion. "I don't care how many you are, I will reduce you to dust along with this useless planet"

Flush!

The frost demon showed itself in front of the three of them. First, he hit Piccolo's chest and then his leg bruised Raditz's side.

"Argh!" Raditz screamed in pain but bravely endured it and decided to continue attacking with his brother, but they couldn't hit him.

Cooler was very fast and dodged all of his attacks. So, he decided to go on the offensive by kneeing Raditz hard in the belly.

The older saiyan spat out blood and fell to his knees. Goku saw the scene upset. "Raditz!"

"Don't worry saiyan, soon you will be able to rest in the Otherworld" Cooler pointed out.

PAM!

With extraordinary speed he punched Goku in his cheek followed by another punch in his stomach. And Goku was unable to dodge them.

His body ached, not only from the blows but because he had used the Kaio-ken to the limit and the consequences were dire for him.

'I-I can't anymore!' Goku thought lowering his arms and breathing hard, 'But if I don't do anything it will be the end... all it will be over!'

"What's wrong? Can't you fight anymore?" Cooler asked seeing him in that state, "Well, in that case I'll destroy you along with this planet!"

Cooler's power rose unbelievably making the planet tremble. The few animals left in the area fled in terror.

A bird flying nearby fell at Goku's feet, who watched this helplessly. He reached down and held the injured animal in his hands.

'If I couldn't protect this poor bird, how can I protect Chi-Chi, Gohan and my friends? How will I protect Earth from this monster?!'

The helplessness that subjugated his heart had transformed into an unprecedented rage. In that instant, something happened.

In that instant, everything changed.

"HAAAAA!" Goku yelled, releasing the rage that chained his being. And then, the tremor caused by the demon on the planet stopped.

"Huh?" Cooler was confused.

A golden energy covered the injured bird in Goku's hands. Shortly after, the animal took to the air fully recovered.

"What happened to him? W-w-why does this change mean?" Cooler was surprised by the sudden change in the Saiyan's appearance.

His hair had stood on end and turned blond, his eyes were turquoise blue and his muscles had increased. Now, his aura was golden.

But what made Cooler afraid was the look Goku was giving him. Those blue eyes blazed with rage!

Goku had transformed into a Super Saiyan!
