The three of them were flying over the planet Kaioshin. Kibito gave Gohan a more suitable outfit since they were sacred lands of gods.

"Aren't you bored of being alone here?" Gohan asked as he was too big for both of them.

"I am continuously monitoring the universe, there is no time for fun" Shin replied.

"That's pretty sad" Gohan scratched the back of his neck.

After a few minutes, they landed on a high hill with a lake at its foot. Gohan looked closely at the sword embedded in the ground.

"This is the sword Z, it has been there for thousands of years without anyone being able to remove it" Shin said.

"And whoever manages to withdraw it will obtain the greatest power in this world" Kibito added seriously.

"I mean, me" Gohan stepped forward and squeezed his knuckles. He dropped to a crouch and with one hand took hold of the hilt.

"A hand? What arrogance!" Kibito thought.

That hand released a blue radiance that spread across the sword, "Forced Spirit Fission"

The Z sword began to glow until it suddenly produced a ball of smoke. Shin coughed and soon after was quite puzzled.

"It seems that this place is still the same" spoke an old man who appeared suddenly, "What are you looking at?"

"W-who are you?" Kibito asked.

"What a lack of culture boy, I am the Supreme Kaioshin from fifteen generations ago and who was imprisoned in the Z sword" he replied.

"Locked up? Was it Buu?" Shin asked.

"He was an incredibly powerful being, but hey" the old Kai turned to Gohan, "You freed me from the sword, didn't you little one?"

"Yeah, I felt a life energy when I touched the sword and tried to pull it out" Gohan replied.

It wasn't so true, he already knew the story. His goal was to use the forced partition on the Z sword to free the old Kai from his seal.

"Oh. From what I've gathered you have quite a bit of potential" the old man scrutinized Gohan, "I could fully unlock it thanks to my power"

"We would really appreciate it, honorable old man, the universe is in danger and there is no one who can defeat Buu" Shin said.

"I know silly, but it's a long ritual and I'll probably get exhausted" the old man faked a cough, "Unless you have some remedy"

Gohan very easily understood what he said. With magic he created a magazine +18, "Old Kai, I hope this will serve as a remedy"

"Y-yes it will do" the old Kai coughed quickly putting away the magazine, "Okay, let's go to a more comfortable place to see what we can do"

Shin and Kibito looked at each other with a big drop of sweat. After a few seconds, they arrived at a meadow and the honorable man told Gohan to sit down.

"Okay, let's start with the ritual" said the old man.

"Wait" Gohan stretched out his arm creating a small dome, "So an hour in here will be ten minutes outside and we won't waste time"

"For a human you have curious abilities" the old Kai looked at him very intrigued.

"I learned it in the Shinsenkai, the Earth Kami created a place with a different flow of time, and I learned that magic" Gohan stated.

"It's incredible" the old man admitted, "Let's start"

Suddenly the old Kai started a strange dance around Gohan creating layers of smoke. Shin went red, and so did Kibito.

An hour passed, Goku didn't move from the edge of the watchtower, "What's going on?"

"What's up Kakarot?" Bardock asked.

"I don't feel Gohan's Ki, but I can feel Buu's even though she's very weak" Goku replied.

"What does that mean?" Bardock looked at him seriously.

"Gohan sacrificed himself but it wasn't enough to totally destroy Buu" Goku feared the worst.

"Shit" Bardock helplessly clenched his fists.

"I'll go get the others, they'll be better here" Goku put two fingers on his forehead, and appeared on the island of the martial arts tournament, "Hey friends!"

They all turned when they heard him. Goten smiled brightly and ran towards him to hug him.

"Dad you are fine!" Goten exclaimed happily.

"Yes son, but we'd better go to Dende's palace" Goku answered more severely.

"I was afraid, something serious happened" Master Roshi added and the saiyan nodded seriously.

"Wait, there is someone special who wants to meet you" Chi-Chi smiled and Gine appeared.

"Kakarot!" the woman full of tears ran to him and hugged him after so many years without him.

"Oh, you must be my mom!" Goku smirked, "You look a lot like Raditz hehehe"

Gine smiled closing her eyes. The last memory she had of her son was leaving for another planet. And finally, she saw him again.

"We have to leave, form a circle holding hands so he can do the Instant Transmission" Goku said seriously.

And they all obeyed, a confused Videl ran towards them and joined the circle. Then, they teleported towards Kami's palace.

Once everyone was settled, Goku stood in front of them to tell them what happened.

"An hour ago a new enemy was born, his name is Majin Buu and he is quite powerful"

"So much so that he turned Piccolo, Krillin and Nappa into simple sweets and ate them" Goku spoke, leaving Suno shocked by the news.

"M-my Krillin" Suno fell to the ground.

"Piccolo" Dende looked down sadly.

"I went to help Raditz, we almost won but that monster absorbed Raditz" Goku continued.

A sad tear fell from Launch's eye and Raunch ran towards Goku, "Uncle Goku tell me it's not true! Tell me dad will be back! TELL ME!"

"Raunch" Goku muttered seeing how the girl held back his tears, "I couldn't do anything"

"Raditz" Gine sobbed, she had just come back to life and had just lost her first child. Bardock walked over to her and comforted her. It was a very raw moment.

"W-where's Gohan?" Chi-Chi whispered.

"Gohan sacrificed himself to kill Buu" replied her father, lowering her head, "But unfortunately, Buu is still alive"

"No, not again!" Chi-Chi broke down and her father her Ox Satan went to comfort her, "Why?!"

"M-my brother" Goten was speechless.

18 was in total shock. This was all too sudden, he couldn't believe that Gohan was dead. And Videl was sobbing.

"Goku, and Vegeta?" Bulma squeezed her chest.

"Vegeta is resting in another room" Goku replied reassuring Bulma, "And that's the situation, and as you heard it's serious"

"Argh, isn't there anything we can do to beat that guy?" asked Master Roshi expecting a good answer from his student.

"The fusion" Raunch said clenching her fists.

"Fusion?" Goku turned to the little girl.

"Weeks ago Gohan taught me and Goten a technique to merge into a single individual with power out of this world"

"I'm sure if we merge we'll defeat Buu and avenge my father!" declared Raunch full of rage in her blood.

"Yes! With the fusion we were able to fight at Gohan's level" Goten smiled excitedly, "Let's do it!"

"Okay, show me what it's about" Goku was curious about that new technique.

The children separated and took a few steps forward. "Fuuuu" with arms outstretched and knee raised, they approached, "Sion, HAA!"

They linked their fingers creating a great burst of light that blinded everyone. After a few moments, a silhouette appeared. Goku was stunned.

"Hello! My name is Gonch!"
