1 The world of Shinobi

[Would you like to be an anime character?]

I've been staring at this random screen for a while now. I don't even know if it can be called a screen it's more like a hologram thingy. It's really strange because apparently only I can see it but I can't touch it or anything.

'What kind of question is that? Of course I would like to be an anime character.' I thought to myself. I mean if you watch anime and are a fan of it, it's almost guarenteed you've imagined yourself in a situation where you're an anime protagonist.

After thinking that in my head, my vision started to twist and slowly became black with the only thing I am currently able to see being the Screen thingy from before. I feel really light and like I'm floating but I can't move my body or anything.

I tried my hardest in a desperate attempt to move my body but it just wouldn't budge. Fear slowly crept inside of me as I kept on trying and trying to move in a futile attempt. It felt like when you had a bad dream or a nightmare as a kid, everything feels so weird and distorted and scary and then when you wake up you feel really hot. Not getting anywhere I stopped struggling and looked at the screen.

[Choose your name]

'Choose your name? Not what is your name?' I thought confusedly. Still a bit confused I chose my real name. 'Sora'.

After that the screen changed into 2 spinning wheels. One of them had the names of various anime on them and the other had different powers and even different races or bloodlines from different shows. After a while the first wheel stopped on Naruto and the Second Wheel stopped on Hwagwa Monkey King.

Before I had time to think I suddenly lost the ability to think and backed out? My vision was already pure black..

Sora opened his eyes just to instantly shut them again as a bright light hit them. After waiting a while he tried to open his eyes again just a bit more slowly this time. He felt as if someone was holding him which made him curious, although not really heavy, he couldn't be considered light either. After all he was a grown adult male. Or so he thought.

He didn't know how he missed it but right above him was the face of a beautiful woman.

She had wonderful silky black hair and jet black onyx eyes.

"Congratulations Lady Mikoto, it's two boys.", a voice suddenly spoke. Sora turned around and looked at a young lady who seemed to be a nurse. 'Mikoto...?', the name had seemed very familiar to Sora, it was on the tip of his tongue but he couldn't quite remember where he knew that name from.

"Have you decided what their names are yet Lady Mikoto?", the nurse spoke again. Mikoto hummed in acknowledgement as she quietly and exhaustedly replied, "Itachi and Sora". "Wonderful names Lady Mikoto", the nurse smiled. 'Itachi...' Sora most definitely knew that name. Itachi was a character from the show Naruto. a pretty famous character at that too. 'Have I..', Sora started thinking worriedly, though on the outside he just looked like he was about to cry. Suddenly a screen like the others that Sora saw appeared in front of him.

Bewilderment fell upon Sora, he really was here, in the Naruto world, supposedly reborn as Itachi's twin! Excitement and nervousness filled Sora as well as a little tinge of sadness knowing he wasn't going to see his old friends again.

Looking back Sora noticed some of the words on the screen were bold in black compared to the other normal sized words. 'Are they like links?', Sora thought to himself. Deciding to give it a try by doing what he's previously been doing he thought of the word, '[Stats]'.

Agility: 1

Vitality: 1

Intelligence: 200

Luck: 300

Chakra: Locked]

A flash of disappointment came across Sora looking at his stats. 'They seem rather mediocre except for Luck and Intelligence' .

Sora Didn't really understand much of this but he was pretty sure that the titles were good things. This whole thing was kind of like a video game power, it was pretty cool to Sora, He looked at other 'links' as Sora dubbed them before trying to use one of his skills.

"Fugaku, do you want to hold them?", Sora heard the voice of his Mikoto, his new mother.

"Hn", Fugaku grunted trying to act tough when in reality everyone noticed his nervousness. Sora now staring at Fugaku decided this was the perfect time to use his skill. 'Inspect'.

Too tired to wonder why Sora couldn't see any of his stats except luck, he gave in to the drowsiness befalling him and like his twin, fell asleep.

A/N?: This is mainly a wish fulfillment fic but I am also kinda serious so I'm sorry if it isn't up to your standards but I will at least try my best to finish it. This is a system fic I guess and MC is definitely gonna end up op, not right away though, I wanna try and really flesh out his childhood instead of skimming through it like most other fics do. I am also gonna try do my best to not make him a killing machine with no emotions nor a 'beta' mc. Again it's mainly wish fulfillment but I hope you somehwat enjoyed 😅
