Fateful Fate

The doctor entered another time to tell me to go out but...he rubbed my Palm and I was back to my Senses. I held him by his collar aggressively.

"Do anything possible to bring him back to life"

I kept shouting and crying at a time. Then some of the nurses came to grab me and sent me outside the ward. There, I passed out again. After some time, I was awake but could not get down the bed because I was very weak. A young nurse entered and hunded over a file.

"This was found in your husband's ward"

She left. I began flipping and realized it was that same file the lawyer have me. Door opens and I pulled my neck quickly to look. It was another nurse.

"How is my husband please?"

"I am so... sorry ma'am but..."

"But what! Answer me"

"Your husband couldn't make it"

I was shattered. After they came to release me from the drips, I walked aimlessly in the hospital when I saw his body being taken away. I run to hold the bed making them all stop to look at me. His parents, Frank, Clara, and some loved ones arrived at the scene. Quickly I embraced his mom and the tears started flowing.

"Mom see your son is playing pranks on me. I told him I don't like pranks but he will never listen to me. Hahaha Hahaha"

I went to sit beside his bed and held his hand.

"Baby I am really sorry I hid this truth from you; but it's not my fault I just realized it last night and I thought of telling you at the right time, that is our Honeymoon . They held me and tried sending him away but I did the worst so his mom pleeded with them to wait for a while since she couldn't stand the drama.

"Actually... the truth is that you are... about...to be...a father!!! Why won't you say anything? Max! Max! Get up and say something Max! At least congratulate me? Here is your biggest dream right in front of you. You had always wanted to be a father. Listen he said daddy..."

I said while I kept his hand on my belly then laughed continosly. When they realized I was getting out of control, Frank held me back and I screamed as they sent Max away.

Max's death nearly got me traumatized.

*Six months later*

I was still in the mansion with Frank and my siblings. Even though things were not easy but I tried my best to condone both Frank and Clara's new behavior. One day after visiting the hospital for a check up, I was back home only to find my things outside. I asked him his reason for doing that and he showered me some documents that proves the mansion now belongs to him.

"And what is that supposed to mean Frank?"

"I am very much sure that your madness has not affected your eyes"

"I have had enough of your nonsense Frank! At least show some respect for your late brother's wife!"

"See who is saying she is fed up. I am rather tired of you Clodeth! This is where I can take you through the journey. Just pack your things and leave before I throw you out myself!"

I was really pissed and was loosing it but tried controlling myself like usual.

"You might be joking Frank, you and I know very well that this masion was built by Max without even your penny being involved"

"Yes he built it but its now mine because he signed all his properties in my name even before he would meet something like you"

" Enough of the nonsense Frank! I have been taking this because of your brother."

"Same applies to me! My so called brother has been the only reason for my silence! Oh no Frank why should I continue to lie his ghost is not even here to winess..haha. You want to Know why huh! You want to Know why I am doing all this huh! Because I envy him! I am jealous of him! At his age, he has so many riches and me what do I have? Staying here only to be calling him sir and boss! And he's about to be a father too? Oh no I just had to release him from all the stress he was about to go through. Yes! And that's what I did! Now leave I don't owe you any more answers! Leave! I said leave!"

"You are the true definition of a demon Frank. I have never met your kind and would never do! You know what, you do not need to ask me because I am already out of here. I cannot be under one roof with such a bastard!"

"Mind your words..!"

His hand got stuck in the air and he stared at me with blazed eyes.
