Chapter 1:Death and Transmigration

Hi I'm Kevin a regular student at his senior high years. There is really nothing that separates me from common people other than being an orphan. I work part time jobs to sustain my daily life and education, I do not earn much but it's honest work so it's okay.

Ever since I saved enough money and bought a phone a year ago, I've been fascinated by games or games that have hack-and-slash, platforming, acquiring abilities or skills as you progress, etc. Recently, I'm playing Hollow Knight this is my first playthrough and all I can say is it's a masterpiece.

From the lore to the characters especially the music it's very captivating. There is something ina this game that wants me to keep moving forward it's just that damn good!

Enough of the monologue! I'm currently here at the street laying in a pool of blood...my blood to be exact. It's painful I feel like crying, it's because of that damn truck! Even though I'm crossing at the pedestrian lane that truck just keep on going like the driver is blind.

Ugh....

I can feel my breath getting fainter each second I can hear people screaming for help and the ambulance, too bad I know I'm a lost cause by the time the ambulance came here I'm probably dead. Letting out an imaginary sigh, I want to at least complete the game. With that thought Kevin stopped breathing cold spread to his body with his final sounds he heard before completely becoming unconscious was the people's panic screaming.

Ugh...weren't I dead? Was it all a dream? Where am I? As I asked this questions I began to recover my senses. The dark began to fade away as I found myself staring at a dimly lit cave. What's going on? Is this what they call heaven or maybe hell? I began to stand up from a facedown sleeping position, weird why is everything so tall?.... wait! I look around to find myself small with black hands, I also have a grey cloak surrounding my small figure.

" What the hell is this!?? Is this my hand!?? Why is it so small and.....and black!!??" My voice is also small while I'm speaking in a language I know that I never had. Calm down Kevin! Panicking will get you nowhere as I began to think about the situation I began to calm down barely keeping it together.

Now that I'm calm, I find this hands very familiar coupled with the grey cloak. This... isn't this looking like the Knight from Hollow Knight.

No I need an something to confirm if I'm really the Knight or just a vessel in general. As I look at the cave I was able to realize that I currently have no weapon or a nail the traditional weapon of the game. Looking a bit more I can hear the sound of falling water, I'm excited but still kept my guard up looking at my side I found a rock that looks like a nail. I walked towards it then picked it up you could never know if there are enemies hiding around.

Walking towards the sound I found my self a dead end but from my experience in the game the wall looks breakable. I positioned myself at the right distance, clasping the rock and swung until the wall breaks. It took a few swings with that's done I walked forward until the end of the light i saw a puddle which delighted me.

I saw slowly moved forward and saw what I really look like. I look like the Knight with a white head hollow eyes but I'm not the Knight disappointing but understandable the only difference is the shape and number of the horns. The Knight has two I have four they look kinda cool. After striking a few poses with my makeshift nail, I focused getting into a semi-battle stance I moved forward toward a tunnel that might lead me to Dirtmouth.

Dirtmouth the first part of the map you'll come across except for the King's Pass. You are also going to meet the first NPC Elderbug and the first bench. Benches were used as a saved point of the game I wonder how it works here? Moving forward a bit more I saw a cliff from the cutscene when you open the game and the group of lights which is probably Dirtmouth.

Jumping from this cliff will allow me to arrive at the King's Pass but I hesitated because from the game there is no fall damage and from what I observed so far this is now my reality I wonder if I will die if I jumped here? Looking around there is nothing like a rope that might safely get me down.

Since there is no solution it seems that only jumping will do. I took a deep breath ( i wonder if vessels can breath) and look at the bottom of the cliff it's far down. Kevin this is your new life the Knight was fine in the game so I will probably be fine.... I hope. With one more breath I took a leap of faith feeling the whooshing of air around me. A few seconds I slowly saw the ground and i arrived down.

"hmmmmmmm its seems like there is no fall damage"

With that I stood up and look at the breakable door in front of me. I walked forward just in front of the door and thought I finally arrived walking forward knowing full well the dangers and opportunities behind this door.
