I'm a farmer, not a hero: Prologue

A party consisting of three young individuals is walking through the evergreen forest.

"Are you sure this is where we should be going?" The young woman, the party's cleric, asked.

"Well, you heard the oracle right? This is the place where the sacred cudgel should be." The young man, their mage answered.

"Well yeah, but she also said that it would be at the hands of a very powerful being right? Are you sure we can defeat it?"

"What are you afraid of?" The young man walking in front, the party leader and the Kingdom's Hero, smiled.

"With a young prodigy of a hero like me, who has the highest combat capability among all graduates, leading this party? Nothing can stop us!" The young hero, brimming with confidence, assured his companions. The young hero may sound obnoxious and arrogant, but he's not all airs; being the youngest to graduate the Kingdom's swordsmanship academy with highest honors can attest to not only his strength but his intelligence, earning him the honor of becoming the Kingdom's Hero.

It's not just the hero that's special. Like the hero, the young mage is the youngest to graduate from the Kingdom's magic academy with highest honors. Most of the time, they're being compared to one another but because the swordsmanship academy's curriculum includes the basic application of magic, the hero's athleticism became the deciding factor for the two prodigies.

Of course, it's not just the two young men that are prodigies; the young woman, the cleric, is quite the gifted one as well. Being able to perform advance tier miracles at a very young age is proof of that, as the ability is gained over decades of years of self-reflection and meditation.

With the three prodigies, this party is the Hero party sent to subjugate the Demon king.
