CHAPTER 45 THE SCANDALS OF THE MANSION
When Carmen opened her eyes, the sun had already risen; she was shocked at how late it had been and that Miles and other servants may be looking for her. She quickly changed into her clothes while trying not to disturb Phil awake. However, because of her numerous movements, he did wake up. He, too, was taken aback by their late awakening and excessive sleep. He is more worried about Carmen than about himself.
Carmen told Phil in a distressed voice, "I have to go now; Miles might be looking for me now; it is almost eight in the morning; for am two hours late for my work." Phil then took hold of her arms and kissed her. Phil urged her to maintain her composure.
