Ionel Grendel had planned to steal the egg and capture the Sanction Prince of Hllscani for a very long time.

His real name was Grendel Caselmon. He grew up as an orphan in the slums of Hllscani and had planned to escape it one day through whatever means it took.

He wasn't alone in his upbringing, his two younger brothers helping him along each step of his path.

Their names were Kenope and Armisekiel Caselmon. 

One day, they made a plan together--to rule the world! They would start small, and do whatever it took to get to that throne.

They had a lot of potential. They were great at fighting, powerful in cultivation, and had perfect social skills to get them where they wanted to go.

However... Ope and Isekiel died in the Zephyr Serpent's dungeon chamber.

And Ionel, despite wanting to take revenge, only made it so far before sitting below a winter-green tree from exhaustion.
