I'll become the demon queen

A world full of fantasy is one you will only see in storybooks. Demons, ghosts, witches, wizards, dragons, saints; you never see those in the modern world. A place that has royals, nobles, and commoners. I am no stranger to stories about transmigration and people being villains or heroes, and I love those stories. But I never expected to be one of those people to transmigrate. Hey, should I act like a proper villainess and have fun?

Chapter 2: What an interesting development

Camilla Windsor. She is the main villainess in the novel, 'My eternal love.'

'What a cute name for a novel full of tragedy and death,' There isn't much known about Camilla. Only about the Duke, the Duchess, and the Windsor family. Camilla is always described as a poisonous flower in the novel. She uses her beauty to enchant other men for her gain, flaunting her money, and is quite cunning and calculated.

'So why did she die in the end?' Qianhui couldn't understand how such a cunning woman could die at the hands of the male leads. 'It's because she so stupidly fell in love with one of the male leads. Of course, it was none other than the crown prince. How typical.' Qianghui wanted to scoff at just remembering that specific scene in the book. Such a cunning woman became so utterly stupid when it came to the crown prince, obsessing over him when he didn't even love her in the first place. Of course, her constant complaints and begging when she wanted to marry him were too much, so she could finally marry the crown prince. Qianghui believed the King only allowed it because the Windsor duchy was always close to the royal family, and the King wanted to keep them in check and keep hold of the leash that he was constantly gripping, to keep the Windsor family next to him like some loyal dog.

"What's wrong with you this time?" Oh, Qianghui had forgotten about the maid being here. Qianhui raised her head and looked at the maid, 'I'll stay silent about this situation for now. If my father says something during breakfast, I'll tell my dear father why. And if he is as rude and insufferable as this maid, I should pretend to be on his good side. How fun.' Qianghui shook her head, "It's nothing. I'm still a little tired," she told the maid, and she got a scoff in return as a response.

Qianghui loves the villainess, Camilla. Sure, she got extremely annoyed when she fell in love with the crown prince and got married to him. Qianghui believed Camilla would still be a great villainess if she hadn't fallen in love with such a prick. Falling in love and being obsessed with a man was the only stupid thing she had done, leading to her downfall. She was already rich; she could've used her money wisely and even had fun with it. She could have gotten with any man, yet she chose to stay with that insufferable crown prince; she was cunning and intelligent, yet she became so stupid later in the novel. 'He even cheated on Camilla with the original female lead. This novel... I have to be careful and try not to die. This novel has many parts with many different endings; maybe the Author loves seeing the readers in emotional pain.'

"Tsk, stand up and hurry up. We have to put this dress on you before going to eat with the Duke and Duchess," Qianghui nodded and stood up from the chair she was sitting on. She began changing out of her nightgown, and there, in the mirror, she could see scars and bruises on her back and the back of her legs, 'ah... so there's more to Camilla than meets the eye...' She ignored what she saw; not even the maid reacted to the scars and bruises. She finally put on the plain black dress and looked back in the mirror; even if the dress is simple and makes her look like she's going to a funeral, Camilla looks elegant in almost anything.

The maid pushed Qianghui back onto the chair and grabbed a brush and a black ribbon. She began brushing her hair, grabbed the sides of it, and pulled it back, putting it in a bun with the black ribbon as the rest of her hair was down. "There. She was finally done. Now let's go meet the Duke and the Duchess for breakfast," the maid said and was the first one out of the door, not waiting for Qianghui. 'Oh my. It's almost pitiful how she thinks this is acceptable. Since I'm Camilla Windsor, should I show the world who's the real villainess?'

Qianghui exited the chair and left the room, closing the door behind her. She walked down the long, empty corridor. 'If I wasn't Camilla and I didn't read the original novel, I would've been completely lost. Should I thank god for putting me here? Or should I curse him that I am now stuck in this novel full of tragedy and death?' She wasn't sure which to do, and as she was lost in thought, she made it in front of two massive doors. She made it to her destination.

Her heart started thumping loudly when she was gazing at the doors, and she wasn't sure if it was excitement or just nervousness about the whole situation. She then grabbed hold of the door handles and pulled the doors open. There, she sees a long table covered with delicious food. The maid in her room was also standing next to a few other maids; at the front of the table was a man who looked to be in his late thirties. He wore glasses and a nice black suit, his short blond hair neatly pulled back, and his expression cold and unchanging, just like Camilla's.

Qianghui could only assume that the man was Duke Arthur, and sitting next to him was a woman wearing a lovely and luxurious red dress that matched perfectly with her hair; her red eyes held confidence and pride in them. Qianghui noticed three other individuals at the table and immediately recognized them as her siblings. The eldest son is the spitting image of his father but with longer hair. Her younger half-brother has the same red hair as his mother and father's green eyes. Her young half-sister is precisely the spitting image of her mother. 'How scary,' She thought to herself as a small joke.

The doors closed behind her, and upon hearing the sound of them closing, Duke Arthur looked up and stared at Qianghui. She can't even tell what he's thinking, 'the only thing Camilla has in common with her father is their expressions when they are both not acting "friendly" with other people.' She thinks, wanting to laugh at the situation; except for the expressions, she looks nothing like her father. "What are you doing just standing there? Come sit down and eat," he stated curtly. He looked back down and went to eat. His words seem blunt, but Qianghui thinks his attitude is far better than the maid's.

Qianghu went to the table and sat down next to her older brother. Duchess Edda put down her fork and knife and stared at Qianghui harshly. "What's with that outfit? None of your siblings are dressed as plainly as you, nor do they look like they are about to attend a funeral. Are you mocking your father and me?" She questioned her coldly, and everyone was quiet at the table. Qianghui wants to smile now, "Duchess, forgive me for being rude. It wasn't my intention to make it look like I was mocking you and father," she tells the Duchess; she believes she has to watch her attitude in this situation for now. 'Maybe she's the one who gave Camilla those scars and bruises.' She thinks, "The maid was the one to pick out my outfit for me. She has always been my maid, and I thought I should wear what she chose. I mean... she knows what's best for me since I'm always sickly," Qianghui tells the Duchess and plastered on a smile, and from the corner of her eye, she can see the maid's shocked expression that shows disbelief. 'I'll teach you not to mess with the villainess of this story. Now, please show me a good show.' Qianghui couldn't wait to see what would happen before her and would enjoy every second of it.

Wearing a black dress is so appropriate for a family dinner. Talking to the whole family is like walking to my death.
