Long story short, a month later, my feelings got stronger, and it was a fateful day. I had been robbed and badly bruised. He took care of me and confessed his feelings, thinking I was asleep, so that night we got together, but the very next day, he had found the culprits and returned the favor just like he had promised me.

It was through him that I got this job. He had told me about how his boss wanted a housemaid and how he had recommended me given that I had been begging him to work, but he had refused, saying he could take care of us. With the job, he can keep an eye on me, and for a day I had been sulking but grateful, and I still am. I'd rather be up and about than at home, sitting lazily like a house decoration.
