Rukelion had to find her. If Daisy was out there, there had to be some way to locate her soul.
He would recognize it anywhere at this point. It definitely wasn't here but that didn't necessarily mean it wasn't somewhere else. But would his magic reach that far? He had never tried doing anything like that before but that didn't mean it was impossible.
If it was possible, he was going to do it. Even if it completely exhausted his magic reserves. Even if he could never come back to this world again. Even if he died trying. Nothing else mattered but finding Daisy and telling her he was sorry for ever dragging her into his mess. He had to because otherwise there would be absolutely no reason for him to keep living.
She had been all he had. Money, power, revenge…none of that mattered to him without having her nearby with her warm smile and tinkling laugh.
