Olivia's POV

I walked away.

I knew the way I acted on Derick wasn't right, but that wasn't my concern, my concern was to see Rona and to know if he was okay, then I could be at peace.

I left the campus and boarded a taxi to Rona's place. Throughout out the drive, I wondered what was wrong and why he has been avoiding my calls and text messages.

I closed my eyes and thought of what I must have done wrong to make Rona get this angry with me, but I couldn't recall doing anything wrong.

“We are here”.the taxi driver informs me, 

I paid him and came out of the taxi and stood in front of Rona's gate.

I took in a deep breath before ringing the bell.

Few seconds after ringing the bell a voice came from the speaker

“What do you want”.he asked like I was a total stranger.

“It's me Olivia”.

“I can see that it's you, am asking why you are here “.he spoke in an angry tune that I couldn't understand why he was this angry at me.

“I'm here to see Rona “.

“Boss isn't here “.he spoke roughly

“That's a lie”. I replied quickly

Though Rita's call I knew he was back from China.

“That's none of my business if you don't believe me”.he spoke coldly

I knew arguing with him will anger him the more and there was nothing I could do, so I decided to calm myself before speaking

“Please I beg you, just let me in “. I begged 

“Sorry, I can't do that “.he spoke in a calm voice different from the one he was using on me earlier

“Why won't you let me in, did Rona asked you not to let me in “. I asked 

The speaker was silent for a while, and he did not say anything.

“Hello, are you there “. I asked 

“Yes, just go home Rona will send for you if he needs you”

“No”. I replied quickly

“Please allow me to see him, am worried about him and I want to know how he is, please let me just see him “. I pleaded.

“Sorry I can't, please go home and don't bother coming back "

“Please just let me in”. I begged 

“Hello”

“Hey”.

But there was no response from him.

I hissed in frustration and stood at the gate for a while before walking away.

I walk around the street thinking of a way to at least see Rona, so many thoughts were in my head of what might have happened to him and why he was acting this way towards me.

I brought out my phone and called Lizzy 

“Olivia you finally called what the hell was that you did in school “.she asked 

I hissed and roughly ran my fingers in my hair 

“Listen, please I will explain everything later. I just need your help “.

“My help ?, Olivia was going on “she asked in a worried tune, 

“Everything is fine, I just need you to send Rita's number to me “. I begged

“Rita's number ?”. She asked in shock 

“Yes, please I will explain everything to you, just send the number now “. I begged 

“Okay, give me a minute”

“Thanks”. I hissed in relief and ended the call.

Few minutes, Lizzy's text came to my phone. I copied the number and dialed it while waiting for it to be picked

“Hello”.came Rita's voice 

“Rita is me, Olivia”. I spoke up 

“Olivia?”.she spoke in an angry tune 

“How did you get my number”. She spoke with so much range in her voice.

“Please, Rita listens to me “. I begged 

“I was at the house, but they wouldn't let me in, I need to see Rona, please help me “. I begged.

Rita laugh loudly before speaking up 

“I should help you “.she asked in anger 

“I should fucking help you “.she laughed loudly again before speaking up

“Why should I help you “.she asked in anger 

“Listen Rita, I know we are not friends, but I really care for your bro and am worried about him “.

“Don't you dare say those words”.she cut me off, 

“Don't worry about him, allow me do the worry and get out of his life “. She spoke angrily, 

I knew this wouldn't be easy when it's involves Rita.

“Please just help me “. I begged

“I will never do that and even if I want to do, my brother has made it clear that he doesn't want to see you “.

“That's a lie”. I whispered in pain

She chuckled loudly before speaking 

“Rona has made it clear to his men not to let you in “.she spoke with so much excitement in her voice 

“That's not true”. I replied in pain

“Really, you think Rona will be caught in your wings forever”.she spoke in anger 

“He now knows the kind of girl you are and have finally cut you off from his life “.she spoke in a serious tune.

“You are lying”. I shouted in anger 

“Really, you don't believe it, okay just watch and see how he will totally forget and abandon you just like he did to his past whores”.she spoke with so much confident in her voice.

“I'm not a whore “. I shout in anger, 

I felt anger run through my blood not because she called me a whore but how she was so confident of Rona leaving me.

“Really, then what are you “.she asked in anger 

“You are just one of my brother's whore, and he has gotten rid of you like he did to others”

I hissed and calm myself, it was a big mistake calling Rita. I thought calling and begging her would soften her heart and she might help me .but this Rita's heart was made of stone.

“It was a big mistake calling you “. I hissed in frustration and ended the call. I need to go home and calm myself.

I boarded a taxi and got home, I got home and noticed Aunt car was packed outside, including Derrick's.

I hissed and walk inside the apartment.

I got inside the apartment and met Derick and aunt in the sitting room in a serious discussion, they noticed me and stopped whatever they were saying.

“Good day aunt”. I greeted and sat on the couch, 

Aunt stared at me with so much curiosity in her face before getting up from the couch 

“I'll be in my room “.she said those words and walk away.

I hissed in relief and stared at Derick, who has been quiet since I walk in.

“Hi”. I awkwardly wave my hand at him, 

I knew the way I acted in school was really bad, and I shouldn't have acted that way, but then I was confused and in so much panic

“Derrick “. I called out his name when he did not say a word after I wave my hand at him 

“I'm sorry, with the way I acted at school, I was just in a hurry to be somewhere”

“Somewhere like where “.he asked in a calm voice, but I knew he was angry.

“I asked a question”. He spoke again when he did not get any reply from me, 

“Where was so important that you have to talk to me in that manner and walk out on me “.this time he couldn't hide his anger.

I swallowed nervously and kept on staring at the floor .what will I tell him when I know I wasn't good at lying.

“I'm waiting”.he taps his feet on the floor to gain my attention

“I went to get something”. I lied while avoiding his gaze.

“You went to get something”. He spoke in anger.

With the tune of his voice I knew, he knew I wasn't telling the truth, 

“Yes”. I murmured, 

“You are lying to me Olivia, you are fucking lying to me “.he spoke with so much anger and stood up from the couch.

I bit my lips nervously and kept on twisting my fingers.

“You think I won't know, you think you could hide it away from me “.he spoke in anger 

Shit, he knows, he knew I went to Rona's house .how do I explain things to him to understand.

“He hissed in anger and ran his fingers in his hair for a while before he walks up to me and sat beside me 

“Oli”.he called out my name with so much care 

I stared at him and got confused at his behavior, he knew I went to see Rona then why is he acting this way.

“Look at me “.he begged, 

I turn around and nervously look at him, 

“Why didn't you tell me “.he asked.

Tell him what I thought to myself.

“You could have just told me and let me handle it “.he spoke softly and gently caress my cheek, 

I close my eyes and melt in his touch, 

“I was scared “. I whisper

He hissed softly and pulled me to himself

“You shouldn't be scared of anyone when you have me”.he kissed my cheek and gently stroke my hair 

I was surprised at his attitude and his behavior, I was expecting him to shout and get angry but here he was behaving so gentle and romantic

“Don't worry about my father, I will handle him.my own way “.he said those words and kissed my cheek.

Then realization hit me, he wasn't taking about Rona but his dad.
