After Alakazam calmed down, it sincerely expressed its gratitude to Yuga. Although it had been in a state of slumber, it was mostly aware of its surroundings and not entirely oblivious. It thanked Yuga for rescuing it, Gothitelle, and Spoink, and for taking them in.
To ensure that Alakazam and Gothitelle were truly okay, Yuga brought them to the Pokémon Center, where Joyka conducted a full examination.
The results showed that, apart from some mild muscle atrophy in Alakazam from its prolonged inactivity, both it and Gothitelle were in excellent health.
While Gothitelle could now use moves and channel psychic energy, her genetic defect remained unchanged.
Joyka showed Yuga the genetic sequence diagrams of Gothitelle and Alakazam, pointing out that they shared a significant number of identical gene sequences. This similarity was why Alakazam's psychic energy resonated with Gothitelle's.
The presence of so many identical gene sequences in two entirely different species was clearly due to the gene experiments they had endured in the past.
Additionally, Joyka ran a test on the frequency of their psychic energy fluctuations, finding them to be completely identical.
The psychic energy frequency of each Pokémon is unique, much like human fingerprints, but the instruments showed that their frequencies were perfectly aligned.
Joyka also revealed that she had detected a foreign object in Alakazam's brain, about the size of a fingernail, which emitted an unknown energy field. Due to interference from this field, further examination was impossible.
When Yuga first brought Alakazam back, he had it examined at the Pokémon Center, and this foreign object hadn't been present then. Yuga speculated that the emergence of this object was likely triggered by the stone fragment.
Current theories suggested that this unknown object was a product of Alakazam's condensed psychic energy, meaning that Alakazam's psychic power was far greater than what they had observed so far. This powerful psychic energy was simply trapped and unable to fully manifest.
Alakazam had awoken because its psychic energy had been "sealed" by the unknown object; without the pressure of its psychic power, its consciousness naturally reawakened.
Joyka speculated that Gothitelle might be the key to helping Alakazam fully release this psychic energy.
She also warned Yuga not to attempt a full release of Alakazam's abilities, as such a release would harm it rather than benefit it. Alakazam's frail body couldn't withstand such powerful psychic pressure, and its current state was ideal.
Yuga and Joyka discussed Alakazam's condition for a long time. When they came out, they saw Gothitelle happily showing off her newly acquired abilities to Spoink. Even though these abilities had been "borrowed" from Alakazam, she was still delighted.
After confirming that Alakazam was alright, Yuga took it and Gothitelle back home. Joyka prescribed some conditioning medication for Alakazam and advised Yuga to have it engage in physical exercise and maintain a balanced diet.
Once they returned, Yuga created a specialized training plan for Alakazam and collaborated with Audino to design its meal plan. From then on, Alakazam had to strictly follow the training and diet plan, with Gothitelle as its supervisor.
Time swiftly moved to summer, and the deadline for the main system task arrived. Yuga hadn't introduced a fourth type of Pokémon, but at least the task was completed.

[ Congratulations, Host, on completing the Main Task: New Pokémon Listing (Accepted). ]
[ Note: The variety of Pokémon in the YoYo Day Care does not meet the standard. Host must strive to improve. ]
[ Requirements: List at least three high potential Pokémon of different types and species within one year. ]
[ Rating: Good ]
[ Reward: A Water Stone vein. ]
...
Yuga hadn't expected to earn a Water Stone vein with just a "Good" rating. What kind of reward would an "Excellent" rating bring? He suddenly felt a bit regretful and thought, "I should have tried harder."
He recalled that the previous main task reward had been a Leaf Stone vein, for which he received an "Excellent" rating.
However, that previous task had been completed swiftly, with a shorter timeline, and indeed, its difficulty wasn't as high as this main task.
Yuga now possesses three evolution stone veins (Fire Stone, Leaf Stone, and Water Stone). It seemed that after acquiring the Pokeblock formula, the system's main task rewards for this series would likely center around evolution stones.
The system informed Yuga that this time's reward, the Water Stone vein, was located at the seabed of the Shallow Sea Beach Sub-Ecopark. Due to the challenging extraction conditions, he would have to rely on his Water-type Pokémon to mine it in the future.
Upon receiving this main task reward, the next main task was immediately issued.

[ Main Task: New Pokémon Listing 2 (Accepted) ]
[ Explanation: The variety and quantity of Pokémon in the YoYo Day Care still do not meet the standard. The host must continue to work hard. ]
[ Requirements: Introduce at least four high potential Pokémon of different types and species within a year. ]
[ Reward: ??? ]
...
Clearly, this main task was a continuation of the previous one, but with increased difficulty.
This time, Yuga planned to go all out. If he could achieve an excellent rating, he wondered what reward the system would offer: two evolution stone veins? Three? Or perhaps some other surprise?
Yuga was eager with anticipation.
After receiving the task, Yuga went to Shallow Sea Beach Sub-Ecopark to inspect the new reward.
Following the system's directions, he quickly found the location of the Water Stone vein. Many Water-type Pokémon had already gathered around, including Corsola, Omanyte, Sharpedo, Gorebyss, and Huntail that were reluctant to leave.
Water-type Pokémon are highly sensitive to the presence of Water Stones, and they had detected the vein as soon as it appeared.
Yuga's arrival calmed the excited Water-type Pokémon. Under his guidance, five Croconaw and several Poliwhirl and Poliwrath dove underwater to investigate the Water Stone vein.
Just like the previous Leaf Stone and Fire Stone veins, this Water Stone vein was another massive one, and Yuga was confident there would be some top-grade Water Stones within it.
Soon, the Croconaw, Poliwhirl, and Poliwrath resurfaced one by one, each of them holding one or two Water Stones in their hands. Every stone was crystal clear, showing a high level of purity at a glance.
Although the purity of ordinary evolution stones doesn't significantly impact Pokémon evolution, high-purity veins tend to yield top-grade evolution stones.
Additionally, the purity of the evolution stones reflects the vein's reserves. Generally, the higher the reserves, the purer the stones produced.
After getting a general idea of the Water Stone vein's scope, Yuga assigned mining tasks to the Water-type Pokémon. They were required to turn in any whole Water Stones, while the broken ones were distributed based on effort, providing them with resources for daily training.
All the Water-type Pokémon eagerly vied for more tasks from Yuga, hoping to earn more Water Stone fragments. However, the efficiency varied due to differences in body structure.
For instance, Croconaw, Poliwhirl, and Poliwrath, which have limbs, could mine faster. In comparison, Pokémon like Sharpedo, Mantine, and Corsola were less efficient.
But some Water-type Pokémon were clever. For example, the Shellos, although slow due to their lack of limbs, had an advantage: their neighbor, Eelektross, possessed powerful, sharp claws, making it an excellent miner.
Although Eelektross lived underwater, it wasn't a Water-type Pokémon and had no need for Water Stones. The Shellos paid Eelektross with their treasured items to hire it for mining work.
In fact, even if the Shellos didn't offer extra payment, Eelektross was happy to help as long as they "rewarded" it by spending time with it.
Seeing Eelektross working with the Shellos, other Water-type Pokémon started following suit. Soon, Pokémon such as Lileep, Cradily, and Armaldo, who lived in the water but weren't Water-types, became popular "hired hands" that everyone wanted to befriend.
After leaving the sea, Yuga made a stop at Lake Island No. 2 to check on the Nihilego. By now, all the Nihilego had hatched, and Yuga had built a venom pool on Lake Island No. 2 as well.
The Nihilego loved the venom pool, and so did Roserade. They often absorbed the toxic gases from the pool to strengthen their own poison abilities.
Yuga had even collected various types of toxins from elsewhere and added them to the pool, making the venom more potent with each addition.
After checking on the Nihilego, Yuga had just left the Shallow Sea Beach Sub-Ecopark when he saw Gengar float over, signaling for him to follow. It seemed Gengar needed a bit of help.
Recently, Gengar and Mismagius had been slipping out of the Shadow Space to find Dusknoir. Every time Yuga asked what they were up to, they would dodge the question, so he eventually stopped pressing them.
Today, though, Gengar had suddenly come to him—what was it up to? Yuga was curious but obediently followed along.
Originally, Yuga thought he and Gengar were heading to the Haunted House Sub-Ecopark, but unexpectedly, Gengar led him through the light gate that opened into the Desert Sub-Ecopark.
Once inside the desert, Yuga was led straight to an area filled with sand pits. Not only was Mismagius there, but so was Dusknoir, and around them were craters scattered everywhere, as if something had exploded. Yuga was at a loss as to what had happened.
"What's going on here?" Yuga asked the three Pokémon, gesturing to the sand pits.
At Yuga's question, Gengar sheepishly explained the whole situation.
It turned out that, after several recent battles, Gengar and Mismagius had realized their combat strength was lacking—they couldn't help Yuga at critical moments. So, they wanted to increase their fighting prowess.
There were two basic ways to boost combat strength: improve skills or raise levels. A significant level increase in a short time was impossible, so they focused on honing their skills.
Gengar and Mismagius's most unique abilities were their combined moves: Magic Room and Wonder Room.
To enhance these spatial skills, they sought out Dusknoir, who could use Trick Room, aiming to incorporate it into their skill set. Since Magic Room and Wonder Room could combine, they figured Trick Room should be able to join too.
To surprise Yuga, the three Pokémon secretly practiced for a long time, but combining the three spatial skills was far more complicated than they had anticipated.
At first, they practiced in the Haunted House Sub-Ecopark. However, each failed attempt led to a violent explosion from the unstable space they had created. Since the Haunted House Sub-Ecopark was densely populated with other Pokémon, many of them were frightened by these explosions. With no other choice, the trio moved their practice to the Desert Sub-Ecopark.
In the desert, there was ample space, few Pokémon, and no vegetation, so even if their experiments exploded, nothing would be affected.
After countless failures, they had no choice but to seek Yuga's help.
"You want me to see where the problem lies?" Yuga asked after listening to their story.
"Gengar!"
"Mismagius!"
Gengar and Mismagius nodded in unison.
"These sand pits… are they also the result of your practice?" Yuga asked, pointing at the craters littering the ground.
"Gengar!"
"Mismagius!"
Gengar and Mismagius gave an embarrassed cry.
"Alright then, show me the move from the beginning," Yuga said helplessly.
In truth, Yuga wasn't sure he could spot any issues. He wasn't exactly skilled in Psychic-type moves, and the spatial combo techniques that Gengar and Mismagius had created were largely beyond his understanding.
He had tried to study it before, but the underlying principles were too complex, far beyond what he could comprehend as a novice.
Hearing Yuga's words, Gengar and Mismagius nodded excitedly and flew up into the air. Holding their small hands together, they created a transparent space.
In the center of this space stood Dusknoir, who was far more composed than they were. Once the space appeared, Dusknoir activated Trick Room.
As soon as Trick Room began merging with the space, the entire field vanished before Yuga's eyes.
Buzz!
Yuga seemed to see something flicker twice, followed by a sudden explosion. Gengar, Mismagius, and Dusknoir were flung backward, and a strange shockwave blasted another pit into the sand, identical to the surrounding craters.
From beginning to end, Yuga had no idea what actually happened when Trick Room merged with the space.
Although there was an explosion, fortunately, the three Pokémon were unharmed. They flew back over to Yuga, asking if he had figured out the problem.
Yuga shook his head and said, "I couldn't tell."
Gengar and Mismagius looked disappointed, but Dusknoir remained calm. Having lived so long, it took such things in stride.
"Hey, why don't we ask some Psychic Pokémon to take a look? All three of these space moves are Psychic-type; maybe they could see the issue," Yuga suggested suddenly.
Each field has its experts, and in terms of mastery over Psychic-type moves and control of mental power, Psychic Pokémon obviously had the upper hand.
At this suggestion, Gengar and Mismagius's eyes lit up. Why hadn't they thought of that?
So, Yuga gathered Chimecho, Nana, Alakazam, Gothitelle, the leader of the Medicham group, the leader of the Xatu group, the Mr. Mime couple, Gallade and Gardevoir, Espeon, and even a Spoink that had come along for the fun.
As the saying goes, "Three heads are better than one." With so many Psychic Pokémon gathered together to discuss, surely they could pinpoint the issue.
