Hymn For the Jaded

⟨⟨A reptilian scholar takes over a missing ambassador's position in an ancient time dominated by beasts of nature.⟩⟩ A tale of vice, power, and the natural liberties, Hymn For the Jaded promises you on a journey from the bottom of the African nest all the way to the Mediterranean and the North to witness the demise of the Domminical Order and to inspect the threads which created the story of its birth—and its impending doom. Genres: Political drama / low fantasy / conspiracy ----- I go by @creator_burrd on all platforms! (main: Instagram and Twitter). I am also hoping to publish this story on Royal Road once I get the approval. For now, to the staff, here is a preview of what future chapters are like ^^

Journal #3: On the Burden of Being the Tirkju'a

Recorded by the Domme Tirkju'a (an excerpt from his journals)

----------

It is the year Ki Heptre 13.

I miss home. Not Katill Broiis or the Ori'ehemian Quamship temple.

My true home, far east of the Order, where my brothers now lie awaiting the breath of the afterlife. Perhaps they had gone without me. Perhaps that was better.

The Dove told me that I was chosen for this role, for bringing a fire to the land and raise an army greater than any Isorgi unit. My Isorgi brothers would not compare to the Dove's vision of the men that they foresaw would surround me in my rise.

I would like to keep believing them. But I would also like to have my people with me along the way. This loneliness is eating me from inside, I have no one to turn to but the Dove, my only constant ally. There is no one else in the world who looks like me, and is my kin, because they have all perished for a reason I have yet to find.

The Dove said I had better do. No answers will come from them; they want me to forge my own path.

I know it is never unintentional. So what future does the Dove have for me?

Why mustn't I just pass away like the rest of my kin? My true name will always be Aashurhallal and that can never be taken from me, though I may be known to all as the Tirkju'a.

If Aashurhallal dies, so does their Tirkju'a.

—KI HEPTRE

counts as a year since the founding of the Domminical Order in Katill Broiis located in modern day Cyprus; can be used for calendar years but only applicable to events which unfolded after the Tirkju'a—or Aashurhallal, the Isorgi—had began his rule.

With that said, here beginneth the rule of the regent Tirkju'a, the Sijarkes.
