Swimming court.

Aiden.

After I had been taken to my quarter– a villa to myself with a pool, guest rooms, and a car. I was given a tour around the school by a person called Ezekiel. He was waiting for me outside the affirmary after I was told to go.

He told me how the classes here we're held and the most important classes that would determine if I am a prestige topdog material.

You see, in prestige High, the most dangerous species are the most important species and are treated specially from those in the other segment of the school.(The Targets/preys).

In here, we are groomed as the predators we are. Our special abilities are nurtured by special trainings and activities that gives us total control of our emotions. That was what Ezekiel said, but me, I think they're doing a bad Job grooming if what happened earlier at the affirmary was just a normal incident that occurs regularly.

When Ezekiel told me that I wasn't supposed to be in the other segment of the school from the start, I wasn't sure what he meant, until it suddenly occured to me my behavioral changes recently.

But then again, I've never lost control of myself so easily. This all started the moment I stepped into this school. It felt as though all my senses of control were wiped from the first day I met him(Bale).

Everything has been oddly weird from the first day.

All through the night, I couldn't stop thinking about why he would do that to the direwolf that hurt me. Why would he want to hurt the person that hurt his worst enemy?

I mean does that even make sense?

I still want to kill him.

When I see him, I still want to hurt him and I know he can't stand being in the same space as me without the intention of wanting to murder me. So why fight my battle when you want to kill me and I want to do the same?

I get to school and the first thing I see is the notice screen in front of the hallway stating boldly;

Morning Routine; Strength Class in session (compulsory)

My eyes opened wide.

Fuck, am I late again?

I strolled towards the large doors and heavy scents of various species hit me before I even push the doors open. Everyone stood in rows of straight lines paying attention to a very buff man that stood on the stage-like podium addressing them all.

I had to fasten my pace to join a line, thankful that I managed to blend in successfully unnoticed as I stood behind the wolf in front of me, letting out an exhale only to shrink to his words when he called me out.

"That's not your line, vampire". He called me out and I closed my eyes instantly, realization hitting me that I was the only vampire amongst the dangerous species.

I felt the scornful eyes of everyone fall on me before I take my eyes up.

"Fall out of line". He tells me and I do so immediately. "You're the only vampire here... You can't mix with the wolves, so take a line here in front of me".

The room echoed with his deep voice and I could see the frown on their faces. They weren't pleased that I was in their midst and weren't hiding it either. Funnily enough, this was a mutual feeling. I don't want to be among them either but it's not like I can do anything about the fact that they exist so I have to live with it.

"Let us begin". The buff inspector took his eyes around the room.

"All clans must pick their area of warm-ups for the activities of the week. From the baseball court to the basketball court, swimming court, taekwondo court, and volleyball court you must choose where you want to train your Strength ".

Wait... If each clans have to choose, then how do I participate when I'm the only vampire here?

As he spoke, each clan dispatched to their various groups as they chatted and teased amongst themselves, choosing areas they wanted to take but none of them choosed the swimming court.

I just stood and watched them as they played with each other, which took me back to the times when I and Ashton would tease each other and mess around town for days without returning home. Father was never around so we had fun however we wanted knowing that George would not stop us.

If he were here I would never feel out of place or alone, he wouldn't leave me alone one bit.

I turned to leave, maybe go to the bathroom and stay there until they were done with this class when the inspector called me back. "Aiden Hellhawker, you don't have a group and there's only one Area that hasn't been chosen so, you're going to be using that court". He tells me and I raised a brow to him.

"The swimming court?" I asked and he nodded seeing through the panick on my face.

This is a very bad Idea.

"I can't train there...". I tell him, turning back to look at everyone staring back at me in shock as though I had said anything bad or out of place.

"Why not?" He asked me but I didn't tell him it's because I can't swim and have PTSD of swimming pools, I just shrugged causing him to frown.

"You don't have a choice, and it's not like any other clan would want you to join them, no?"

I turned back and they all yelled a "No" in mockery, laughing afterwards.

"Then that settles it, you are all dismissed to your various areas. Likewise you, Mr. Hellhawker, to the swimming court, now!"

At his words, everyone began strolling out of the hall to their areas.

A few of them that walked past me chuckling loudly as they strolled forward. "Goodluck, vampy, haha".

"Haha, he's gonna need it".

I just watched them dash out of the hallway to their various courts while I stood in the empty hallway feeling like shit.

Is this even worth it?

I mean it's not like I couldn't beg father to let me stay even if he never wanted me. I could've just stayed out of his sight and everything would be alright. But I guess I was just so prideful to cower before him after being rejected.

Now that I think about it, I should've just begged as Ashton had adviced. If I had listened I would not be in this situation.

I strolled out of the hallway, looking for the swimming court around and finally found it at the far end of the third hallway I strolled into.

My eyes remained on the door as I took deep breaths. It's not like I was being supervised or something, I could just stand around and pass time until the class was over, right?

Yeah, easy-peasy.

"C'mon, Aiden, you can do this". I tried to encourage myself as I pushed the wide doors open only to walk into a very odd familiar scent.

I mean I know this scent, right? Because it is very surprisingly familiar.

My brows raise to my thoughts as I tried to remember where I had perceived this very intoxicating and intimidating scent.

The scent of wood-back and mint, mixed with masculinity.

Wait... Why does it smell like-

I had not even found the voice to mouth his name... it was still just at the tip of my tongue when he emerged out of the water, body dripping as he took the stairs out.

... Bale.
