King worthy of the Sword

(Klaus POV)

I was working on my latest enchanting experiment when a house elf popped up in my room.

This is actually one of two house elves that work for me and Lily. We plan to get few of them for Avalon when their population grows a little, but we won't be taking any for our castle.

Shapeshifters that work in the castle take pride in it as an tradition, but house elves would be useful to work as lab cleaners.

Labs can be extremely dangerous to clean, especially alchemy ones. But house elves are in no danger of it, little buggers are like cockroaches, you could drop a nuclear bomb on them, and they would survive.

Only way I can see that could kill them is killing curse, and that isn't invented yet.Well they can die of old age as well, although they live for at last three hundred years.

Anyway one that popped in is called Beasty "Master that can become a mistress, Beasty been told to tell Master that can become a mistress that Kingy sir is dead."

Deam elf has been calling me that ever since he saw me transform. Still I looke up and say "Well it is about the time. Did he leave the sword in a way I wanted him to."

"Yes sir." elf noded affirmatively.

"Good, soon it will be time to get involved again." after saying that I prepare to investigate how the King died.

Not long after I took the Prince, King came to me again. He asked me for help to find a perfect location for a new castle.

I helped him, showing him a place that is ideal for a city that he wanted to build. But after starting to build it he run in many troubles.

Building a city costs, and the King had big plans for Camelot. He wanted a grandest city ever made, with greatest defence that can be made. Thanks to that location of the city wasn't easy to bring building materials to.

It is an island made of stone not to far from the coast. Only way to get to it at first was with a boat, so the King decided to start with a bridge that would connect the islands with the shore.

To pay for it he brought more taxes for his nobles, witch planted a seed of rebellion against him.

Not long ago raiders started attacking smaller villages and towns. They are barbarians who rob, destroye and r**e everything they can.

After many complaints, and after their number has been discovered King had to organise a small army to fight against them.

Nobles used an opportunity when the King was weakened after a fight to strike him down, and now only one who can rule is the Queen, until a new King rises.

It has been few years since Kings death, and thank to the law I made sure was made by King before his death, nobody took the position of the King yet.

'Only one that can wild the Excalibur shell be the King' and today it is finally time, there will be a tourney in witch Arthur's big brother will compete.

Arthur is the Prince I took years back, he turned fourteen not long ago, and today he will be helping his brother.

As I observe the tourney I can't help my smile when I see Arthur give the sword to older boy.

As the older boy tried to hold the sword he was pulled by it on the ground, this attracted attention of people that watched the tourney, especially the Queen.

It didn't take to long for me to make sure that Arthur is recognised and crowned. It was made easier thanks to that knight that accompanied me when I left the Prince with the shapeshifters.

Later that knight will rise to be one of new Kings closest advisors, and a knight of a round table. An group of knights that will advise the King as well as work as troubleshooters through the kingdom.

Over the next few years the new King proved that I made a right choice in doing what I did. He spread his kingdom, not just by conquest, but through making friends and alliances.

He found him self a queen after helping one of the nobles, who later became one of his knights of round table.

He fulfilled his father's dream by finishing the Camelot, and created the council of the knights of round tables.

After legitimising the council of wizards he took Lord Black as an advisor, and helped us enforce council laws on mages.

ten years since Arthur ascended the throne.

I was working on my latest enchanting project, a focus in form of a bow. I have known for a while that forest elves have somehow created a focus that didn't need a core made of a part of a magical creature, instead it was made of wood only. When used magic would come out in shape of elemental arrows.

"Klaus, are you there?"

"Yes I am inside Lily. Weren't you going to leave for Avalon after checking on what is going on in Camelot?" I asked as she comes in.

"I was, but I found something you should be aware of. Arthur's half sister Morcades moved to Camelot, and she is a witch."

"Well that might prove to be interesting, but for now I am busy with the council, and you have to find out what is happening with the vampires. They have been making strange moves in last few months."

Since their creation Vampires have stayed put in their territory, but in last few months we noticed that they have begun to spread and infiltrate nobility of European countries.

While I am busy with organising British magical world, and our daughters have their own tasks.

Lily is only one who can investigate it, well we could send on of other hybrids that our daughters turned, but non of them have enough firepower to deal with more then one Vampire.

While Lily and me have established rules on how many Hybrids our daughters can turn, Vampires don't seem to have any restrictions.

So the issue of King's half sister will have to wait for a while.
