Another day in this mundane life as a mortal. Work you don't enjoy is work designed to break your spirit. Dilute your passim and decay your dreams. The only joys in life I find these days are video games, anime, and the gym. Because in each of them, the progress is visible, even by an infinitesimal margin progress can be seen. But dead-end jobs are called those for a reason. If reaches the ceiling, the sky is not the limit. Sure others would find being the district manager for a company the highlight of their career, but I always wanted to be on top and if I was to serve another let them be worthy of that service. I got snake eyes on this site in life. Granted I'm only twenty-two and I've got time but that's then I'm living in the now.
As my thoughts paused I entered my apartment, my sanctuary, my domain. I can feel myself visibly relaxed.
"It's good to be home," I said.
As soon as my devices auto-connect to the wifi. I set down my bag and to off my clothes. I need a shower to get the sent outside off me.
"Ah," a relaxed sight slipped out as I exited the shower. Now in my comfort clothes, I booted up my Xbox and played a few games of Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch 2, and Warzone. Before switching to my PC to play Warframe with some friends.
As I was prepping to run some more missions. I got an email from a friend that had links attached to it. I clicked on it and it took me to a questionnaire. The questions were one at a time and you couldn't go to the next page until you answered the current one.
Asked Between Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter x Hunter, and Demon Slayer which wild would you prefer to be reincarnated in. Hmm not difficult why would Timo send me this? I'm up to date in Jujutau Kaisen and yeah no just no I ain't trying to deal with Sukuna, Dagon, Hanami, Jogo, or any curse spirit for that matter, Demon slayers also just no Demons are Bullshit and Slayers are lucky I make it last there twenties. Hunter x Hunter on the other hand is more flexible. Yes, there are chimera ants and other dangers but Nen gives a fair share and your Hatsu is determined by you, unlike innate curse techniques which are dependent on either bloodline or luck to be useful. With that question answer the next one asked.
Pick your race. I choose human. Pick three traits and two techniques that would be within the parameters of your chosen verse. Hmm, not that was interesting. So basically anything that wouldn't mesh with that verse a off the table. I like my lips power you have to grind for is power well earned. For my first pick, I picked the trait Abnormal Nen Potential which is pretty self-explanatory. High talent in learning Nen is a must in the Hunter x Hunter verse. The next trait is the Hanma Bloodline. Talent has to be taken care of a good physique is necessary. And bloodlines aren't foreign to that verse. The Hanma blooding rewards hard work with a strong physique with good strength and durability. The final trait is Extrasensory Perception, a sixth sense if you will. An innate awareness towards impending danger to yourself kinda like the spidey sense. With those traits, my talent, physique, and sense are covered. Now for two techniques that would allow me versatility and lethality. The first technique I choose is from one piece and its versatility is A1. I chose Seimei Kikan also called Life Return or as the adorable Tony Tony Chopper called it Bio Feedback. This technique grants the user complete control over their body parts and bodily function. Even involuntary functions like digestion. The user Seimei Kikan could eat all the food in a refrigerator and absorb all the nutrients in seconds. With the ability and the Hanma bloodline, I can build the perfect combat-oriented physique. Next was a technique that was adaptable and lethal. I choose Whirlwind Iton Cutring Fist from One Punch Man. It was created and is taught by Master Bang's older brother Bomb. This style revolves around manipulating the air to create razor-sharp whirlwind pressures that slice a user's target. The cutting pressure can also be implemented into users' kicks and is sharp enough to cut through stone at the basics.
The next question was would you take any existing likenesses? Hmm, there are so many options but the last anime I watched was JJK and Sukuna's link when he took over Yuuji's body us dip minus the extra eyes. It picks that but he'd be black because I like being black. When that answer was placed the screen suddenly went black. And one final question appeared. I was surprised yet intrigued. The question was would you choose to be reincarnated into your selected world in exchange for your memories? And that I say yes what is the point of a new life, a fresh start, a blank canvas on which anything can be created if you're hung up on what was left behind? In the theater of life, we often find ourselves entangled in the intricate web of our history, clinging to the echoes of yesteryears. But, my friends, as we stand on the precipice of our evolution, let us consider the artistry of releasing the brush that paints our yesterday. Reincarnation, not merely in the metaphysical sense, but as a psychological rebirth, invites us to surrender the weight of bygone chapters. Shedding the skin of former selves, we emerge as sculptors of our destiny, chiseling away the excess to reveal the masterpiece within. As the phoenix rises from its ashes, so too can we transcend the ashes of our past mistakes, regrets, and sorrows. The soul, a resilient artist, craves the blank canvas of possibility. It beckons us to explore the uncharted territories of self-discovery, embracing the shadows of our past as the chiaroscuro that gives depth to our present. Let us acknowledge that the canvas need not be erased; instead, let us learn to paint over it with strokes of resilience and hope. For in the cosmic dance of existence, every note of hardship is a melody waiting to be harmonized into a symphony of growth. Reincarnation whispers to us, urging the introspective journey—a pilgrimage within. It is not about forgetting but about transforming the essence of our experiences into a catalyst for metamorphosis. Each rebirth, a fresh act on the stage of consciousness, invites us to dance with the unknown, to flirt with the uncertainty that births true creativity.
So I answered yes. The black screen left one final message before it returned to normal. At the stroke of midnight, your story in this reality ends, for tomorrow the canvas of your life is into a gaping black. Well, that was fun, I checked the time and it was already 11:30 and I had slaver- I mean work in the morning. So I went to be and tried to catch some Z's not knowing what awaited me the next day.
