Adrian awakens with a blank stare.
"I'm back. That life was torture."
Adrian had just died in the Tokyo Ghoul verse. His life consisted of a simple routine: wake up, get experimented on, drink some blood, and head back to sleep.
He had been experiencing such shitty lives for the past 3000 years as punishment for his sins on earth.
He would be forced into the worst possible situations, being tortured endlessly day in and day out.
"All this because I killed some people in my first life. It was for survival, and it wasn't like anybody would miss them," said Adrian.
Adrian had been born in a third-world country constantly torn with wars and death. He had struggled for his basic needs and would steal what he could to survive. That was until he learned of a lucrative business: organ harvesting.
He had started off selling dead bodies to doctors and medical schools that would experiment and teach their students with. Eventually, demand exceeded the supply, and he had to take matters into his own hands. He would kidnap street urchins and crackheads and harvest their organs for whoever would buy them. That was until he bit more than he could chew and had accidentally aimed for a gang member.
They had decided that he would be an example for all those who dared to mess with their mighty gang. He had been executed in front of all of the gang's members, instilling fear and confidence in them.
He had then been sent into the afterlife, meeting some sort of devil that decided he would be punished for his actions with eternal damnation. He would be reincarnated into different worlds with the worst possible start, with no way to possibly have a good life.
His best life so far was the 23rd. He had been reincarnated into the world of One Piece as a celestial dragon's fishman slave. But he had somehow pulled off a miracle and seduced the celestial dragon (she was a woman). He was used as a sex slave, but he got what he wanted, and she treated him well enough.
"Oh, it's starting. I wonder what world I'll head to this time around." The void around him churned as a loud sound resounded across the air.
Cries and screams were heard from across the room as a child had just been born.
*6 Months Later*
"My name is Gyro. My father is an abusive alcoholic, and my mother left me to rot after giving birth to me."
Any free time I had, I spent watching animes and shows since I knew for a fact I'd likely enter them one day.
The only Gyro I know with a backstory like this is the one from Hunter x Hunter, an anime I had already been in before.
It was my 3rd reincarnation, and one where I lived for less than 3 years. I had been born in Meteor City, a city that was considered a garbage dump by the rest of the world, one filled with crime and death.
I had been trying to unlock nen in that past life, but by the time I nearly had it, I was killed by some homeless dude who wanted to fuck me or something.
"Anyways, Gyro may have a sad backstory, but I've experienced much worse. Seems like this will be a breeze."
As Adrian returned to trying to unlock his nen, his new father barged into the room and started drinking and screaming like usual.
"This fucking trash bastard. Do you mind shutting the fuck up?"
As if he heard Adrian, or should I say Gyro, he locked eyes with Gyro's and started walking closer.
He then pulled out a stash of coins from underneath the bed, took some money, and left.
"This bastard must be going out to get hammered like usual."
Gyro returned to trying to unlock his nen.
"As long as I keep quiet and obey his orders, I can live until I get old enough to kill the bastard and take his money."
As a 6-month-old baby, he had to sleep often and could not train his nen for a long amount of time.
His father would buy breast milk from mothers who would sell milk for a small amount of money and feed him with it, and yet he was severely malnourished.
From what Adrian remembered about Gyro's childhood, his father would beat up Gyro for making the slightest sound, and he could not leave the top bunk of the bed, unless he wanted to take a shit.
In fact, due to how little human interaction Gyro had, he could lay bricks before he could speak.
"I'll kill this bastard someday, and that damn devil. I'll make sure to take my pleasure in fucking up his life."
