"What are you talking about?" I asked, blinking at her.
"I just don't want to hold you back, you deserve to be happy, Alexander," she said as she looked away.
I could feel my heart breaking, I'm sure the look on my face told her more than enough. I'm sure it held more than enough proof of how I felt for her.
"Lilith," I groaned. "Look at me, please."
She refused to turn even as I held her hand tightly.
"Please, Lilith," pleading I gently stroked her hand.
When she refused to turn I let go of her hand and stood up. I walked up to her and got on my knees before her.
She gasped as I cupped her face and leaned forward to kiss her.
I had every intention to keep the kiss chaste, but something about her just lit up a flame in me.
