Chapter 7

My heart was racing fast when I saw him on the ground. The girl ran away calling for help."Nick!" I called him and touched his forehead. "He has a fever."The butler and the two maids ran towards us. I carried him at my back and I saw the little girl crying at the corner."Ms. Nana, I should carry him for you." The butler panicked but I insisted on carrying him."What happened to my son?" His mother gasped and covered her mouth. I laid him to his bed. I put off his shoes and socks.The maid gave me the basin with lukewarm water and three clean towels. I unconsciously lifted his sleeves, putting the soaked towel to his forehead and I realized that I should not be the one to do it.I gasped silently and I bit my lower lip. I looked at his mother and I shyly turned my eyes down. "I didn't mean to-", she cut my words."He's a bit tired." She was looking at us smiling and she added, "You look good together. Good thing that she found you.""Th-there's nothing b-between us, Ma'am." I stuttered and I was feeling hard on my cheeks.She looked at me with her sweetest smile. "I see myself in you when I cared too much for his father." She laughed a little. "What's your name again?""I'm Haina, Ma'am." I smiled shyly."Just call me, Aunt Sonia.""Yes, Aunt Sonia." I came back to my senses when I realized that there is nothing to be shy about."I think that you should stay here tonight. It is almost midnight."I accepted her offer and stayed at their mansion. I planned to be here until seven in the morning but her mother insisted on having my breakfast with them. I sat on the opposite side of Nick and the girl sat beside him."Did you meet Gianna already?" Aunt Sonia's smile is genuine."Yes, Aunt Sonia." I smiled at Gianna but she was frowning down at her food."Gianna, what's with your face?" their father asked."Nothing." She forcibly smiled at me.I thought that she disliked me at first but why? My mouth flew open when I saw Aya with Gray. She smiled at me and sat beside me. They greeted us happily."What's wrong with you?" I whispered."I'll tell you later." She whispered and began to get some food.Gray sat beside Nick and the other two boys were walking to the dining hall. They were smiling at us."Good morning!" They looked happy when they greeted us and I found myself puzzled on what was going on. "Let's eat.", his father offered and we started cutting the beef steak with a knife. I was not so sure of cutting the beef steak using knife but Kim helped me.I saw how Nick's eyes went small and I noticed his parents looking at us. I felt uneasy and my knees started to tremble."Just let me do it, Kim.", I smiled wryly at him and when he looked at Nick, he looked embarrassed.I cut my beef steak properly as I looked how Kim sliced it. I smiled when I did it right."You looked beautiful, Miss Haina.", Aunt Sonia smiled at me and I smiled back at her. "You and my son looked better.""No, Aunt Sonia. We're not what you're thinking." I smiled wryly at her. What was she trying to do? I felt uncomfortable when she added, "Don't say anything that doesn't happen. You will not know what your future may be."I didn't know where she had the guts to say it with a great smile."Honey, let them be free. They're so young." Her husband was making her not to be speedy in her son's relationship. I think he was a sweet and caring father. "Miss Haina, let me know who is your father.", she asked me."He's Mr. Christopher. He is working at a small restaurant near our house and it is the same with my mother, Mrs. Marina.", I answered cheerfully. I noticed that she and her husband looked at each other differently and I wondered why."They are good parents to you. Look at how well manner you are.", she commented."Thank you, Aunt Sonia." I smiled at her. When I looked at Nick, he seemed to be annoyed. He was chewing his food silently.When we had finished eating our breakfast, Aunt Sonia asked if I could look after Nick. What should I do? I didn't think twice and I accepted her request which made me feel uncomfortable.I went to Nick's room and he was not there. I placed his medicine and a glass of water on his side table.I heard the door knob clicked and he was drying his hair with a small towel. I closed my eyes when I saw him wearing his white robe. He smirked."Why are you here? Don't tell me, you're sneaking out to see me naked?" I know that he was teasing me."No. I'm just here to give you your medicine.", I answered nervously. I couldn't deny that I liked the fragrance of his perfume which made me shiver."Seriously?", he asked while I felt his presence coming to me."D-don't come near me.", I gasped and I bowed down my head to the left side.He put both of his hands on my opposite shoulders and made me looked at him and when I looked down, I saw his half-naked body with a pack of abs. I screamed."Sssh... Don't scream.", he whispered while his arms wrapped on my waist. I forced myself to get rid of him. I moved my body against him. I accidentally grabbed something that made me stumble and fell to the ground."Look on what you've done.", he whispered. I realized that I accidentally untied the straps of his robe. I felt his body against me but I felt something hard on my stomach. It could be..."Shit!", he cussed. I almost screamed again but he covered my mouth. "Stop screaming or else I will do something that you don't like."I nodded because I feared him. "Now, close your eyes.", he commanded and he stood up.When I opened my eyes, I saw his naked butt in front of me while he was putting his robe back. I closed my eyes before he could catch me."Open your eyes."I opened my eyes and I saw him smiling like an idiot."Did you see it?" He was smirking and the silence filled the room for a while.The knocks on the door made me to stand up from his bed.He opened it without fear."What happened?", his mother asked with his father beside her."I-I just saw a cockroach.", I stated with twitching lips."Okay.", she nodded and commanded Nick, "Put on your clothes.""Okay, Mom." He smiled and went to the cabinet to get his clothes. "Come to me, Haina." She smiled when she guided me to the door.I was walking alone at the bridge where I could see the image of a river. Its color was dark green and I saw the sunset beautifully. Then, it crossed my mind again. The thing that happened a while ago. I felt the hard thing in my stomach."No!", I shouted and wiggled my head. I felt my face hardened and blushed that was why I ran to the nearby store to buy some ice cream."Hainz!" I heard someone calling my name and when I looked, it was Nick, holding a black umbrella."Why?", I rolled my eyes while licking the ice cream and I remembered it again. My face turned red as I looked away at him."Let's talk." He grabbed my wrist which made me tremble."Stop it.", I yelled and I grabbed my wrist back. "Where are we going? Tell me." "At the beach.", he answered with a sad tone. He started to walk and he removed his white shoes and his socks. His arms were opened wide and he looked up at the sky."What are you looking at?", I asked him with an annoying tone."I'm happy to be with you.", he whispered."What? I didn't hear you.", I came closer to his back and he hugged me in a snap of fingers. My ice cream was dropped to the ground.I tried to free myself but he hugged me tight."Just for once. Let me hug you." His tone seemed so sad. I confirmed that he was when I felt the hot tears fall on my back."Are you okay?", I asked with concern and when he did not answer me, I tapped his back thrice. "It's okay. There's no need to say what you wanted to say."It was about five minutes since he hugged me tight. He moved away from me and he wiped his tears. I saw how red his face was. He cried. I did not imagine him as a bully crying in front of me.He could not look at me directly. I felt sad and I didn't know the reason.He sighed and sat on the ground filled with grasses. He patted his side, inviting me to sat beside him."The waves are nice to hear.", he said with a smile. "I don't know when will I be at peace like this."I sat next to him and I was surprised when he laid his head on my lap. He closed his eyes while I was still in shock."What are you doing?", I asked while forcing my heart to stop beating so fast."Just lend me this day and I'll not bother you soon.", he said with a smile but I knew that he was faking it."Good. At least, I don't have to argue with you.", I frowned at him."So, it's a no for you. Well, I'll let you go.", he sat and he added, "But when I see you again, there's no turning back. I promise you."Was he trying to say that he'll leave?I felt the knife stabbing my chest as he leaned near my face and kissed my lips. My eyes widened when he opened his eyes while his lips were on mine.
