Elena's P.O.V
"Why are you here?" she demanded, her gaze fixed on me with suspicion. "Why are you with them?"
I raised my hands in a gesture of peace, trying to convey that I meant no harm. "Relax; I'm not your enemy. And I'm not with them, I'm a senior and a sister from the Guild of Hunters," I replied calmly, hoping to diffuse the tension in the air.
The woman's eyes narrowed, and she tightened her grip on the dagger. "How do I know you're telling the truth? Anyone can claim to be from the Guild. What proof do you have?"
I sighed inwardly, realizing that trust wouldn't come easily in this situation. "Fair enough. Look, I'm not here to cause you any trouble. In fact, when I saw you earlier, I instant knew you were from the guild, so I had to talk to you."
She remained skeptical, her guard still up. "But how did you know I was part of the Guild?"
