"W…what do you think you're doing?!" The security man's eyes were fixed on her body.
"Nothing, I'm feeling a little bit hot."
He was lost in the colour of her skin. The hurrying footsteps of the policemen were close enough now. As soon as her jacket slid down from her body, he screamed.
"Ahh!"
Roselle had thrown the jacket at his face in a quick action, kicking him hard on his stomach without giving him a chance to retaliate. She gagged him from behind with her jacket and grabbed his gun.
The security man was tough, trying to smash her face, kicking at her legs, and elbowing her. Roselle resisted him. Dragging the gun with him, she kneeled him down and secured the guns.
"You were not so tough, man! Now open the f**ken door before I make this bullet swim in your head!"
The security man raised his hands in surrender without saying a word, his heart was hammering in his chest.
"Waste more minutes and…"
He pressed the door button before Roselle could finish speaking and the door opened.
"Now get off my way!"
The security man shifted, his shaky breath made him appear like a scared red panda.
"Drop the gun now, and surrender!" A policeman shouted at Roselle before she could get out of the door.
Without thinking and with a quick swift turn, Roselle grabbed the security man and holds him close, using him as a shield and pointed the revolver at his head.
The policemen attempted to go closer to Roselle.
"Stay back!" she yells, brandishing the gun in her free hand. "I'll shoot him if you come closer!" Roselle shouted moving backwards, she held tight to the security man.
The police skid to a halt as they saw Roselle holding the guard hostage. They shouted a commands for her to release him, but she's not listening. Instead, she drags the guard out of the door.
The police officers had no other choice than to obey the order of a criminal seeing the guard held hostage. Roselle moved backwards keeping her eyes fixed on the policemen.
"Now you see why I called you an old man earlier, you're just a useless old guard who can't capture criminals. Now the criminal is using you to escape. So what will you call yourself now?" Roselle spoke sarcastically into the ears of the guard.
The guard's fear ran to the boots on his feet.
"I asked, what will you call yourself?!"
"I... I'm a stupid man!" The guard screamed and broke out in cold sweat.
"Very good boy." Roselle hummed into his ears. She was now completely out of the building.
The policemen scrambled towards her.
"I will kill him if anyone dares to approach me!" Roselle warned again.
Again the police reduced their footsteps, their intelligent eyes were not letting Roselle go.
Roselle emits a nervous scoffing sound, she could call this child's play and it's beneath her level. This was not her first time acting tough or escaping a criminal act, so this now was just like a child's game to her.
"Please don't kill me. I have a son and daughter who needs me, I can't die, please don't kill me!" The security man begged Roselle.
"Then keep calm if you don't want to die!" Roselle yelled into his ears.
The security man gulps hard. Shutting up as Roselle continued to push him backwards.
Roselle took a glance around, there was no close vehicle to steal and escape with. Then she had another thought that this was not going to be child's play as usual since there was nothing to escape with.
"Tina, where are you?" Roselle spoke into her wristwatch.
"Just behind you." Tina's response came quickly. Roselle turned her head hearing the screeching sound of a car tire come to a halt, it was Tina in a mini sports car.
Inside the car, Tina is waiting behind the wheel, her foot on the gas pedal. Nate is in the backseat, his hands tied and a fake look of terror on his face.
"Oh, you are always in time of need." Roselle thanked her stars and released a bullet into the air.
People who had come out from all corners were shaking with fear hearing the gunshots. The strong-minded ones only stood shouting and throwing abuses at Roselle and demanding for her to be killed.
The policemen wanted to shoot at this point but their head officer stopped him. He was brave to notice that the criminal was not out to kill the man but was just using him as an escape. He had had so many experiences of this over the years of him working as a policeman so he knows every move a criminal could make.
"Get in!" Roselle barks, shoving the guard towards the passenger seat. "And don't try anything funny!"
"Please, I beg you let me go!"
"You wanna die?"
"No, I don't!"
"Then get in there!"
"Okay, I will but don't shoot me, please."
Roselle pushed the man into the car, still using him as a shield in case the police wanted to shoot at her.
As soon as the guard got into the car, Roselle elbowed him on his head, hitting him into unconsciousness and released another bullet in the air.
Tina guns the engine and the car screeches away, leaving the police in hot pursuit. Roselle leans out of the window, firing wildly at the pursuing cruisers.
"Nate, action. NOW!" Tina ordered Nate. Immediately, Nate brought his head out of the window shouting for help.
"Somebody help me! They want to kill me!"
Nate cried from inside the car bringing his head out of the car window. He was acting like someone was pushing him back.
Tina mounted on the gear, almost reaching the highest speedometer, she sped faster into the street, with Nate still shouting for help.
The police head officer shouted. "Alert! The criminal has two hostages, one is the security man, and the other is Nate the missing driver of Roselle. Go after the criminal but don't shoot. We have our own there so I repeat, don't shoot!" The head officer screamed into his transmitter.
Nate sat back in the car and heaved. 'That was hard to do.' Nate thought inwardly, he was feeling weak. He had just recovered to pass this stress but he would do anything for the sake of Roselle.
"Kudos, Nate, I don't know you could act so well," Roselle said.
Nate held his neck feeling so excited to see Roselle. He made to turn his neck to look at his boss but couldn't his neck was stiff and it pained him. " Ma'am I'm so happy to see you."
Roselle smiled then replaced it with a frown. "You have a lot to explain to me, Nate. You must tell me why the hell you got into that fight that got me into this mess I'm in now. If you don't give me a good reason why you got into that fight, I won't think twice before firing you."
"Ma'am I..."
"Shut up Nate. For now shut the fuck up, when I ask you to speak about it, then you speak!"
"Yes ma'am." Nate fought the rising fear within him, his head was thumping and the pain in his neck intensified. Now he had gotten himself into another trouble.
"Tina, the police are close to us now drive faster!"
"Yes, Roselle, I'm on it!" Tina had no other choice but to hit on the highest speed voltage and she prayed she could control the steering without getting hit by another car, but the prayer was no sooner out of her mouth when Roselle screamed, "Tina watch out!"
They heard another vehicle ram into them, causing their car to fishtail wildly down the road and come to a halt. Their head and chest lunged forward upon the impact. The wreck was a gruesome sight. The police vehicles hammering behind them was just 8 pole away from them.
