"Do it," He whispers softly as he feels a sharp twinge in his heart, spreading to his stomach and wrists, asking him to not ask for it. "Huang Qiuyan, if you push me away, I will let you go at this instant. I won't repeat again. You can reject me formally now. I give you this chance."

Even if she doesn't reject him because she can't resist him, he knows that she will keep believing that it's fake between them. That's just how humans are. They live in their castles of beliefs and resists accepting anything that's not human. His family has been killed by them even when they followed the laws of humans. As she pushes his chest slightly, something shatters in her mind. She blinks in shock when a piercing agony seeps through her vessel. She chokes. Her eyes bulge out. Surprisingly, the pain isn't physical. It's coming from the soul. Fu Sheng pulls away from her, drawing the pain instantly through the bond. She realizes that she can breathe now. When she opens her eyes, she finds herself alone in the room. Fu Sheng is gone.
