Chapter 16 Strange

"Sure, but it'll cost you" Illumi then throws several needles into Bucks' body, Buck then begins to twitch as his muscles and blood flow are stimulated.

Illumi then inserted a needle into Buck's finger and some white, highly viscous liquid began to drip out of his finger.

Then a rumbling sound was heard, and the gates to allow the participants to phase 2 opened.

"I guess I'm going to have to babysit him until he wakes up. I'll have to resist the temptation for now until he becomes stronger" Hisoka said while laughing and once more his murderous aura began to leak out scaring all those surrounding him and giving everyone an uncomfortable feeling down their spine, except Illumi who just stood there staring at Hisoka.

Hisoka's attention then went to the gourmet hunters, who were revealed as the phase two examiners of the hunter exam.

One was a very large, fat man with brown, short hair who was at least 3 metres high even though he was sitting down. He wore a plain, yellow t-shirt that didn't fully cover his stomach and plain green pants that were large enough to fit his amazing size.

While another was a woman sitting on a red chair with her legs crossed, wearing a see-through crop top with a red undergarment showing off her curvy breasts and short shorts with high socks. She had light green hair, which was stuck up like poles all around her head.

Hisoka listened to the contents of the next exam.

As they finished their explanation for the task and everyone began to leave to collect boar meat, Hisoka threw Buck to the feet of the hunters.

"Keep him safe for me" Hisoka then walked off following the direction in which many of the examinees left.

"What a weird guy," said the female examiner looking at Hisokas back.

Her attention then went to Buck on the floor, who was unconscious.

"Should we help him?" asked the fat examiner.

The female examiner then sticks out her hand and a piece of sushi appears in her hand.

She then opens Buck's mouth and throws it down his throat nearly causing Buck to choke while he was unconscious.

Buck then began to feel warm all over as a delicious flavour ran through his body.

He feels as if he is floating through food heaven, and his clothes burst off of him as he sinks more into this feeling.

He then stops tasting this delicious food and awakens with some regrets, as he wanted to stay longer in that delicious feeling.

Buck slowly opens his eyes but is assaulted by the suns rays after having them closed for a while, in his limited vision all he could see was a pair of breasts hanging over his head

"Hey, I can see you peering at my breasts, maybe I should've left you unconscious," the female examiner said in a joking tone

Buck realising that it was the examiner, who are all strong nen users immediately sat up straight and forcefully fully opened his eyes letting them quickly adjust

"I'm sorry ma'am, thanks for helping me, I presume that delicious food was provided by you. My name is Buck, is it okay if I inquire about what happened to me and how I got here."

"Hey! I'm not old enough to be called ma'am, call me Menchi, I'm the examiner for phase two a gourmet hunter," The fat man then chimed in "And I'm Buhara also the examiner for phase two and a gourmet hunter"

After hearing Menchi mention her age Buck began to wonder 'I am in the prime of my youth and getting older but yet to have a girlfriend as I was rather preoccupied on earth, she does look very good having a slim waist and two mountains on her chest' Buck thought while subconsciously checking out all of Menchi's body.

'plus it would be hard to get a normal girlfriend in this world so I don't mind her personality and who doesn't want an exclusive chef.'

"Buhara I'm talking don't interrupt me *sigh*. you're welcome for the food I'm glad you can appreciate good food, though I can't help you if you want to know what happened to you I can tell you that the creepy clown dropped you off here, I sure don't like the look of the guy."

"Haha you certainly don't look old enough to be called ma'am, thanks again for helping me how about you give me your number and I can repay you sometime."

This surprised Menchi but a look of understanding soon washed over her face

"Listen, kid, I did say I'm not that old but you are too young, I know it's that time in your life but maybe try growing some more hair before asking me out. Maybe in a few years I would consider it if you became a professional hunter, consider being the keyword here kid so don't go having any thoughts" Menchi said as she looks at Buck assuming his age to be around 18 and emphasised the consider after having a few bad experiences in the past

Even though he was still quite handsome, and would easily attract attention despite his younger age, Menchi was a professional hunter and could stay away from temptation for a reason. As well as being used to seeing many people who have handsome appearances, since this is the hunter x hunter world, which unlike Earth had many top-class appearances and people who retained their youthful looks thanks to Nen.

"How about this then, if I can pass this hunters exam you'll have to cook me dinner," Buck said getting a devilish smile on his face because of how good the food Menchi gave him was, he wanted to experience it again and get a date

This was his plan to kill two birds with one stone which he thought was rather ingenious and a smooth approach to this slightly older beauty

Menchi hearing the relentless pursuit and shameful acting of Buck decided to adhere "alright that is if you pass and become a professional hunter though not just getting the badge"

buhara then spoke in a rushed tone "Menhi! You know the rules," he said in a stern voice

"Oh no, promise me that you won't tell them I don't want to get penalised again, and you forget what I said" She turned to buck and glared at him

"I will but our deal still stands right?" Buck said knowing what they were trying to keep secret from him about the additional task of learning about Nen

"Fine it's a deal." she said as she poted and turned away "Now get to going or else you'll have no time to even get past the second phase."

"You need to explain to me the second phase first, remember I was unconscious as the clown brought me here, haha" Buck found it quite comical how expressive Menchi was sometimes not expecting that after seeing her fiery attitude from the anime thinking she was a very serious person

This reminded Buck of who originally brought him here "Strangely, the clown brought me here, I never would have expected that but it's better than getting standard in the woods" Buck said trailing off into his thoughts ' I guess he might've seen potential in me as he did in Gon, though I have to watch my back when I get stronger or else ill have a creepy stalker clown following me around to fight me, and he'll fight me to the death' Buck then snapped back to attention when Menchi coughed

"If you are done thinking then get to passing the second phase, all you have to do is go find some good ingredients then prepare a meal that can satisfy both of us you are required to use pork in your dish from any species of pig, you have to make it fit our discriminating palit while also giving it a good presentation"

"Thanks" Buck then started to stroll down the road knowing that it would take a while as Menchi would reject everyone's dishes so he was not in a hurry

"Good luck Buck," Buhara said while waving him goodbye as he was off down the road following the trail of the other contestants

"Humph, he's not even taking this seriously," Menchi said in a harsh tone, at this buhara could only shrug and not say anything to not piss off Menchi even more.
