Chapter 24

Title: Karla's Hatsu...

….

As Karla asks me about the name of the group. I haven't thought about it so in the end I just answer her by saying the first thing that comes to mind. "Our Group's name is… The Deadly Sins…"

She nods at this and slowly one of the small bandages wraps around her throat and…

FWOSHHH!!!

I am shocked as her Nen becomes stronger. Her Aura also condenses and turns darker and the Nen around the bandage around her neck somehow becomes even more powerful. How did this happen?! Not even I have such a powerful and dense Nen! 

Her bandages then start wrapping around my cut-off arms, covering them fully and then reattaching them together, then the bandages wrap around my stumps and connect them. I then see dark Nen appear all around the bandages and suddenly… I could feel my arms again. I look at Karla and see that she seems a little tired. 

I immediately frown at this. Her Nen suddenly just got crazy strong, what kind of conditions did she just put on her ability. I look at her in the eyes… I hope she didn't put some crazy conditions like the sacrifice of lifespan for the usage of this ability. Fu*k… she is only six so she might not understand the consequences of her actions. Sh*t… this will ruin her future prospects if she did that.

I don't even notice my hands move as I grasp Karla by the shoulders and ask her with a forceful voice. "Karla! What conditions did you put in your ability?"

A little panic unintentionally slips into my voice. Well, can it even be my fault, the chances of me finding another person as talented as Karla is almost impossible? I mean sure, Gon and Killua are a possibility, but neither of them would be willing to join my group.

When Karla sees the worried look on my face she blushes and looks away.

Oy! Oy! Oy! You stupid girl. Don't let your crush on me dawdle on something like this. This is some real detail, also what the hell is up with that bandage that is wrapped around your neck?!

"KARLA!!!" I scream at her for the first time in her life. She immediately looks at me nervously. "Tell me what conditions you put on your Hatsu Ability?!"

She looks at me a little surprised, but in the end, she answers me by saying. "Well… when you explained to the Conditions, restrictions and such of a Nen ability. I figured, why not use death as a restriction, since you said that it would be the strongest possible condition one can put in their abilities."

My grip on her shoulders becomes harsher. Hopefully, she didn't put anything too dangerous or useless. "What was it specifically?"

She smiles at me sweetly and her dark eyes at mine. She then points towards the bandage around her neck. "This ability is called <Truth Bandage> I wrap a bandage around the neck of the target and put a condition on them. If they break it, they get strangled to death."

As she says that I am a little relieved at it, at least she has a curse-like ability. This is good and will help in the future especially with… conditions. My eyes widen a little at this and ask again. "What is the condition on this ability itself."

She puffs her chest in pride at this. "Well my conditions are that: I can only have three active <Truth Bandage> at once and one is already around my throat soo… yeah… also if I ever use this ability on someone who at the time of the usage of the ability isn't a member of the Deadly Sins groups then I will die."

Okay… that was is playing way too close with fire. She is six and probably didn't understand that if somehow her Nen assumed that she was already part of the group, then she would have died. FU*K!! No one in their right mind would do something like that! Even Kurapika wasn't stupid enough to do that, that is why he didn't make his Judgment Chain work only on the Phantom Troupe and make that ability terrifyingly strong too, but because he wasn't part of the Phantom Troupe, he thought that his own ability might immediately kill him as he used Judgment Chain on himself.

In the end, I let go of Karla and take a deep breath. By now I am completely calm, I know that she won't suddenly die, and by her thought process, I can already guess the conditions on her other Healing Ability.

It was something along the lines of her ability killing her if she somehow used her healing ability on anyone else but the ones who are part of the group… I hope it isn't an ability that can only be used on me… because that would suck.

Okay, I feel a slight pain in my arms when I overexert them. Meaning that the healing is not instantaneous, this isn't a Specialist ability, just Manipulation, and Enhancement most likely to speed up the healing process. She has a 60% in Enhancement so it is only about 60% as effective as it would be if she was an Enhancer. But at the same time, her talent is amazing so she will develop a lot and by the time she is around twenty, she will be more than a simple top-rate Nen user. 

I then tell my theory to Karla and she nods a little surprised at my deduction skills. Well, they aren't anything special, anyone could have figured it when they understand that Karla is only a six-year-old and doesn't have the mental capacity to understand death.

 I just put my hands in my pockets and rest them, I shouldn't put too much strain on them.

I just see Karla look at me with a small smile on her face, she then gets close and leans her head on my chest. I feel my chest get wet from her tears, I say nothing as I give Azula a sideglance. 

Azula cringes a little and shows me her broken fingers. Well… Karla has monstrous strength when she wants to do something. But her Nen strengthened her when her emotions were at that critical level it strengthens her.

One week later and we are currently in an abandoned apartment building. 

I no longer feel any pain from the wounds on my arms so I take the bandages off. I see clear skin and not even a scar left behind… hmmm… this is amazing. Even if attached it would have taken me months to heal these arms. Anyway, now I guess that we have a healer in the group.

That is when Azula comes to me and says. "Oy Sub! I figured out what my ability looks like."

As soon as I hear that a sense of excitement raises within me. Finally, we have tried different things, from her trying to manifest a Nen Beast, to different poison experiments, but nothing like that even worked.

She then mentions me to follow her and I do so. 

….

She takes me towards one of the rooms in the run-down apartment building where the door seems semi-intact. She then opens the door and something strange happens…

She smiles at my expression, she shows her shark-like teeth and says. "Well… seeing you surprised sometimes is something. Anyway, it seems like my ability is quite... strange."

….

AUTHOR NOTE:

Sub obviously knows about the crush Karla has on him. He isn't some dense Anime protagonist.🤣

Also, Karla creating her ability with death conditions and recklessly doing something like that is something that... only the simple mind of a six-year-old could do. Also, Sub hasn't told her anything that how she could have died. After all, her ability might kill her then and there as it 'learns' about it. So he plans to lie to her ability and is slowly explaining things about Nen to Karla so, later on, she can figure it out by herself, but she won't say it out loud or it would kill her. That is in a way in another condition that won't weaken/destroy her ability as a Nen Exorcism would. (might strengthen it... possibly)

P.S: Currently Karla's raw Nen is more powerful than Sub's. Death conditions like she did are no joke. Sub would never do something like this. I mean there just needs to be another group member to fight him and that is a perfect counter.

Anyway, here it is Karla's Hatsu (It isn't completed yet as she will strengthen it along the story): 

•Hatu: <Bandage> 

Can be used to fight, or to slowly heal. If someone she has defeated is surrounded by her bandages he will be under her control forever. Even when the target is unwrapped by the bandages. Also, her controlled targets can use Nen and their Hatsu too. 

<Truth Bandage> She wraps a bandage around the target's neck and puts a condition on them. If they break it, they get strangled to death. Conditions: 

(1)She can also only have three active at once. 

(2) If she ever uses this ability in any of the current members of the Deadly Sins then she will die.

<Healing Bandage> Wraps her bandages around someone and starts healing them. This has only one condition: If she uses it on anyone else who is not a Deadly Sins Member... she will die. She has a bandage around her neck and if she breaks that condition, she will be choked to death by her own Nen Ability. A very gruesome death that also aids to the strength of the Hatsu.

P.P.S: Bonus chapter for the day once we hit 1000 Power Stones. (would do less but time has been really tight these last few days with work)
