Chapter 47: You'll regret this!!!

Time passes, and Killua still won't talk to me.

Esther: "Gon, I'm not good at this whole 'make up' thing. How do I help someone not be hurt over something I have no control over?"

Gon: "Well, you can start by trying to make small talk. After having a nice flow, slowly ask what made them get hurt."

I look at Gon with a shocked expression.

Gon: "What?"

Esther: "Nothing, just, I didn't think you'd actually have advice to give me…"

Gon: "What's that supposed to mean?"

I run and sit next to Killua before Gon can ask me to answer. Killua keeps staring at the floor, refusing to look at me.

Esther: "Hey…"

Still nothing, I continue to speak. It's one sided though. Not once did he make any action to react.

Esther: "…sorry"

Killua perks up a little at that, but he doesn't look at me. I continue.

Esther: "About my dream…it's not something I can control. You don't have to be sad about it."

KIllua: "I'm not sad about it."

He talks, I listen.

Killua: "I'm mad at myself."

Esther: "What do you mean?"

Killua: " I could have stopped you before it got worse. But I didn't. I wanted to see what you would say, so I didn't wake you up. If I wasn't so damn curious, then you wouldn't have dreamt for so long about an event you can't fix. I'm sorry I didn't help sooner."

Esther: "But it's ok."

Killua: "How is that okay?"

Esther: "You helped me when I was about to stab myself. I'm thankful for that."

Killua: "Yeah, well. That's wouldn't have happened if I woke you up sooner."

Esther: "Maybe, but I'm glad you didn't."

KIllua: "Why's that?"

Esther: "I think I finally have a clue to how I can get home. If you had woken me up, I don't think I would have ever thought about it. Thank you for that."

Killua: "…You're strange. Fine, I'll stop moping. This isn't like me anyways."

Esther: "That's true, now let's go play with Gon. We still have lots of time before we can continue to go."

We both go for Gon. We waste most of our time messing with Gon's rod. Killua tried to fish, and it latched onto Leorio's pants. Boy was he angry.

Leorio: "Do I look like a fish to you!"

Esther: "No, but you do look like an old man."

Leorio: "You shut up!"

After hours passed, it's time to go to bed. I try to sleep, but I can't seem to. I tilt my head and see Leorio watching TV. He turns it off and walks to his couch.

Esther: "Hey…Leorio?"

Leorio: "What is it?"

Esther: "…sorry."

Leorio: "About what?"

Esther: "About tossing you off the boat last time."

Leorio: "…it's alright. I shouldn't have called you a beast. you're still a kid, so of course you'll act like a child.

Esther: "…Leorio?"

Leorio: "Yeah?"

Esther: "I take it back, you're my enemy. Don't call me a child."

Leorio: "…alright."

We go to sleep. Damn Leorio, you'll regret this!
