The giant wolf slowly paced around the ruins. The smokey smell of wildfire filled the air. Cato noticed how the snow sizzled wherever the furry beast placed its paws. Since it was closer now, he got a better look at it. The fur was thick up close it was more a deep red like dry blood. It stood towering over Cato, he needed to crane his head as it approached. The eyes were what caught Cato. He could see the intelligence and malice behind those eyes. They shone a beautiful and dangerous gold.

“It seems you will not come within the stone rings,” Cato said, flashing a confident smile. He stood by the altar facing the beast. “Is it will not or cannot?”

“The beast cannot pass onto this sacred ground,” Boudicca replied, standing up.
