Chapter 221: The Final Champion

Hearing the question, everyone at the venue was stunned for a moment. The locals, in particular, were convinced of the possibility. Outsiders, on the other hand, remained skeptical, considering it more of a publicity stunt. With the recent influx of travel companies, many were unsure if it was true. However, the locals, especially those who had actually seen anime characters, had no doubts.

"I'm telling you! It can't really be Artoria and Luffy! No! It's dangerous!"

"Dangerous? What's dangerous about Artoria and Luffy? Unless you're a villain, then maybe you should be scared."

"That's right! Hold on, I'm going to sign up!"

"Wait a minute! How can you be sure it's really Luffy and Artoria? What if they're just cosplayers?"

"In that case, I'd like to know the contact information for Miss Artoria. I wouldn't lose out."

"You're a genius!"

Meanwhile, Artoria and Luffy were enjoying their food. Artoria maintained her elegant demeanor, a stark contrast to Luffy, who was enthusiastically devouring his meat.

Unlimited supply of meat, the organizers on one side couldn't help laughing. According to their rules, this time they must have made a lot of money.

"I'm stuffed."

Finally, Artoria stopped eating and silently left her seat. The curious host approached her, saying, "Hello, Miss Artoria, you could have kept eating. Why did you give up?"

Typically, a big eater either stops when they're too full or they collapse from overeating. Artoria, however, didn't exhibit either behavior.

"It's fine to stop when you're full. Continuing to eat would be wasteful... and waste is not a good behavior," Artoria said seriously. The host was stunned. What kind of statement was that? Saying it's wasteful in a big eater competition is quite unusual.

"Hahaha... I haven't been this full in a long time!"

Meanwhile, Luffy, seeing Artoria give up, collapsed to the ground. His body was like a balloon, ready to burst. After seeing it, the audience exchanged looks.

"It's confirmed, it's Luffy!"

"Definitely. Who else could eat like that? That ability... it's obviously a rubber man!"

"Luffy! It's really Luffy!"

Looking at the chubby Luffy in front of him, the host was extremely shocked. However, as a qualified host, no matter how shocking the situation in front of him, he still has to announce the result of the competition!

"The champion of this Big Eater Competition is!"

"Luffy!! Luffy!!! Luffy!!! Luffy!!!"

Off the field, cheers erupted. Luffy, embarrassed, smiled at everyone, feeling like a true champion.

"The champion of this Big Eater Competition is... Kanna!"

"Huh?" Luffy was stunned. How could a little girl be the champion? Others were also incredulous. They looked at Kanna, only to realize her plate was already empty!

"Meat... not as good as crepes," Kanna said, sounding disappointed. She then jumped into Alexander's arms, grabbing his clothes. Alexander, having expected Kanna's victory due to her dragon nature, was not surprised at all. He didn't even know how much she could eat!

"Onii-chan, Kanna still wants to eat ice cream," Kanna said coquettishly in Alexander's arms. Facing such a cute request, Alexander could only scratch Kanna's little nose and say, "Kids who eat too much will get fat and won't be cute anymore."

Alexander hugged Kanna and looked at Akame and Artoria beside him, "Let's go for a walk to digest."

"Okay," Artoria nodded. Since her master was not here, she followed Alexander's lead. And Akame regard Alexander as the savior of their world, naturally followed as well. 

But...

"Alexander, Esdeath is back."

"Oh? Esdeath is back? Then I'll go back with you. It's time to settle the matter in your world," Alexander said, calculating the time. It was time to deal with the affairs of the world of Akame Ga Kill. 

As Alexander's group left, the audience focused their attention on Luffy.

"Luffy!!! Luffy!!! Sign me up Luffy!"

"Luffy! I'm your fan!!?"

"Luffy! Can you get me Devil Fruit! I can buy it with money!"

Looking at the frenzied figures in front of him, Luffy felt bewildered. Who were these people, and why were they acting so crazy?

"Luffy! What are you doing? Run!" Usopp shouted as he threw Luffy onto Chopper's back. Immediately, several figures ran off to the side.

Meanwhile, the rest of the audience began to react.

"That reindeer! It's Chopper!"

"And that long nose! It's definitely Usopp! I was wondering how people could look like that, but now it makes sense, it's Usopp!"

"That green hair, it's Zoro! My idol!"

"And that's Sanji, the one rejected by the beautiful girl earlier. How pitiful."

As they were recognized, Zoro and the others ran even faster. It was a bit pitiful. Their unique appearances made them easily recognizable. Robin and Nami, on the other hand, apart from attracting a few admirers, didn't seem to have any issues. Sometimes, standing out too much wasn't a good thing.

As the Straw Hat group fled, the organizer lay on the ground, repeatedly muttering, "They... haven't paid yet!"

It was a disaster. They had eaten so much and hadn't paid. This stall might lose all its money, or even be forced to drop out of the festival.

Truly unlucky.
