Chapter 9.6

A halberd, a sadistic smile and an unbreakable determination: that's all Koute has right now. Alazar, now his enemy, prepared to attack. The fight began with a simple charge. Those two were unusually fast and created a great gale wherever they passed.

Koute brandished his halberd, but even when he hit the target, it didn't have much effect. They fought for hours until they decided to take distance from each other. They were heaving heavily and tiredness on both sides was evident. Even without saying anything, they both knew that the next encounter between Koute's weapon and Alazar's arms would be the last. Koute's halberd began to glow a blinding blue, increasing in intensity with each second.

- So it will be like this ... - Alazar commented and his hair, arms and horns started to catch fire.

Then the two made a last dash, causing a bang so big it generated an earthquake. They were even faster than before. Koute attacked horizontally with his halberd, but Alazar did not give up and defended with his arm. What happened in the following seconds was extremely unusual.

With the shock of that collision, the place began to crumble. Koute roared and put even more force into the blow, trying to cut off Alazar's arm. The latter, in turn, prepared a punch with his free hand. The halberd, in turn, could not stand Koute's pressure and simply broke. Its blade shattered and its handle cracked.

Koute's eyes widened, but he didn't have time to think about it and was soon hit by Alazar's punch. He flew against the wall and blood dripped from his forehead. Alazar walked up to him with a serious face. Koute, on the other hand, didn't even open his eyes anymore. The enemy then raised his arm on fire one last time.

- This was a fight that I will not forget ... - Alazar commented.

When he was about to attack, Alazar felt immeasurable pain in his body and blood dripped from his mouth. That was when he realized that parts of Koute's Halberd had pierced him.

- Bastard. - Alazar said.

- It was bad, man ... but I can't die yet. - Koute replied.

- How did you do it?!

- Forgot, bro? I am the dragon of time.

- I want to know how you knew where all my hearts were!

- Dude, how many times do you think we fight here? I'll give you a hint: just with Cerberus, I fought 32 times.

- Damn you! You are using forbidden magic!

- I was given the power to turn back the time, hold the pressure baby. Koute stood up and approached Alazar.

- Do you really think this will end like this ?!

- You cry so much ... if it will satisfy your desire, I fought you 162 times. Now I'm going, bye. Koute took a few steps further.

Then he rebuilt his halberd and Alazar's body exploded with pressure, leaving only the halberd bathed in blood behind. She was brand new, and if it weren't for enemy blood, she might even shine. Koute just summoned a magic circle for her to be taken.

- I think I have to go back now ... I feel like something went wrong.

Koute approached the crater he made when he entered there and transformed himself into a dragon. His body was injured, which would prevent him from flying at full speed, but it would take about 2 hours to get back to Corlin.

The trip was tiring and long, however, the mission was accomplished. Upon arriving at the home of the dragons, something was strange. The fog was more dense, thunder and lightning kept falling and even flames appeared. A war was going on.

With a flap of wings, he hurried to get a real sense of what was going on. When he saw the silhouette of a gigantic dragon and a demon fighting in the sky above. Koute accelerated further and looked for Corlin. That was when he heard a roar and the body of a dragon falling.

"Shit" - Koute thought

- So you finally came, time dragon, Koute. - Affirmed the silhouette, surrounded by rays, that came from the fog.

- Who are you?! Asked Koute.

- Who I am? Don't you even know whose son you murdered?

- Shit ...!

- Well, I follow the saying "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth". So, in exchange for my son, I will murder your beloved Corlin.

- What do you mean?!

- Now, have you forgotten about her? I don't think so, not at all, since you killed my son for her.

Koute saw Corlin's unconscious body float out of the fog, as if there was something holding her by the throat. She was no longer in the protection she was given and her life span was running out.

- Bastard! - Koute said while gritting his teeth.

- I say so. Anyway, let's go to the main show. A thousand and one swords. - The being invoked a ridiculously powerful and fast magic.

Corlin's body was hit from every possible angle: throat, stomach, thighs ... she was torn and disfigured, there was no more salvation. His head, legs and arms were no longer in place. At that moment, the time dragon roared and the mists dissipated, the thunder stopped, and nothing else from the skies dared to stand in its way. Now, only the burning sun hung over that place.

Finally, the figure of the being was on display. A man with black hair, burning, lifeless eyes, wearing a long black cloak. There was no remorse on his face, let alone hesitation or fear. That was the demon king, the most powerful being on that planet.
