Chapter Nine

Jax and Thalia spent years learning how to control their powers. It took them a few days to learning most of their powers but others took months. Rather than tell you every little story, I’ll tell you the stories that really matter. Our first story starts on Lycanthria about two months since you last saw them. Tonight is a full moon and they still don’t know how to control the wolf. Let’s start from the morning of their third transformation.

Jax and Thalia walked to the dining room for breakfast. Thalia sat down and said “Jax aren’t you gonna sit down?”

“I’m waiting for someone.”

“Who?”

“Vilandra.”

Thalia jumped out of her seat and said “what? Vilandra’s coming to a planet full of werewolves on the night of a full moon. Are you insane?”

“Its morning and we don’t change for hours.”

“You’re an idiot.”

Masayo walked into the dining room and said “why is Jax an idiot?”

Thalia said “because Vilandra is coming here.”

Masayo sat down and said “is she coming tomorrow?”

Jax said “no, today.”

“Thalia’s right you are an idiot.”

“I’m not an idiot and what are you even doing here?”

Thalia said “the original always eat with us on the day of a full moon.”

Jax said “right, I forgot.”

A server named Bree brought out two trays. Thalia said “hey Bree, what did they make us?”

Bree said “strawberry pancakes with blood, brains cooked like sausage, a kidney cooked and seasoned with tabasco.”

Thalia said “that looks amazing” and started eating.

Jax said “is it good.”

Masayo said “just eat, she’ll be here soon.”

Jax said “fine” and sat down next to Thalia.

Bree said “do you guys need anything?”

Masayo said “blueberry pancakes, egg, sausage, bacon and don’t forget the syrup.”

Jax said “can you get me an orange juice.”

Bree said “got it” and walked back into the kitchen.

Thalia said “Jax are you gonna eat?”

Jax said “yes” and started eating. Bree walked back in, handed Masayo his food and Jax his juice.

Masayo said “thanks Bree.” Klaus, Kol, Freya, and Rebecca sat down at the table.

Bree said “what would you guys like to eat?”

Klaus said “I’ll take the same as Masyao and I want toast.”

Kol said “I’ll have the same.”

Freya said “me too and I want coffee.”

Rebecca said “I’ll take the same but I want strawberry pancakes.”

Bree said “okay I’ll be back” and walked into the kitchen.

Rebecca said “hi Jax, hi Thalia.”

Thalia said “hi Becca.”

Kol said “are you guys ready for tonight?”

Jax said “I guess.”

Thalia looked at Jax then said “we’re ready.”

Vilandra walked in and said “hi guys.” Jax ran over to Vilandra and embraced her. He let go after a few second. Vilandra said “Jax you have blood on your face.”

Jax said “sorry I was eating.”

“It’s okay.”

Vilandra said “hi Thalia.”

Thalia said “hi.”

Klaus said “Vilandra what are you doing here?”

“I came to see Jax” Vilandra said.

Freya said “he means what are you doing here on the night of a full moon.”

Vilandra said “its morning.”

Klaus said “you can stay for breakfast but then you need to leave.”

Vilandra said “why?”

Rebecca said “are you stupid?”

Jax said “their right Lonnie, I can already feel the pull of the moon.”

Vilandra said “ok, after breakfast I’ll go” and sat down next to Jax. Bree walked in with two trays filled with plates of food.

Bree gave them their food and said “Vilandra did you want anything?”

Vilandra said “I’ll take some blueberry pancakes and orange juice.”

Thalia said “can you also get me a smoothie.”

Bree said “fruit or blood?”

“Blood” Thalia said.

Bree said “okay” and walked back to the kitchen.

Vilandra said “are you guys ready for tonight?”

Thalia said “I am, Jax isn’t.”

Jax said “I am ready sort of.”

“Got it” Thalia said. Bree walked in, gave Vilandra her food, and Thalia her smoothie.

Bree said “do you need anything else?”

Jax said “we’re fine.” Bree walked back to the kitchen.

Thalia chugged her smoothie and said “I’m gonna go take a nap.”

Jax said “okay sis.”

Vilandra said “bye Thalia.”

Thalia said “bye” and went to her room.

Vilandra said “she still hates me.”

Jax said “no she doesn’t.”

Vilandra said “yes she does.”

Jax said “okay fine she doesn’t like you.”

Vilandra said “why not? We’re all starting to make peace with each other.”

Kol said “I don’t think it’s that.”

Vilandra said “then why?”

Klaus said “I bet it’s because of Jax.”

Jax said “me, what did I do?”

Klaus said “nothing, I think she’s afraid she’s gonna lose you to Vilandra.”

Jax said “let’s just drop it.”

Vilandra and Jax ate the rest of their food. Vilandra left right after and Jax walked to Thalia’s room. He opened the door and said “are you awake?”

Thalia sat up and said “I am now.” Thalia walked to her desk as Jax sat down on her bed. Thalia said “what are doing here” as she began writing.

Jax said “are you afraid you’re gonna lose me to Vilandra?”

Thalia said “what? No.”

“Then why don’t you like her?”

“Okay if I’m being completely honest, I don’t know why I don’t like her.”

“Okay I know you said it wasn’t this but if you’re afraid you’re gonna lose me-

Thalia interrupted “that’s not it.”

“Let me talk.”

Thalia said “fine go ahead.”

Jax said “we’re twins, your my built in best friend and your never gonna lose me.”

Thalia turned around and said “I understand and I’ll try to be nice to her.”

Jax smiled and said “that is all I ask and I’ll see you later.”

Thalia said “bye” as she stood up and walked toward the bed.

Jax said “bye” as he walked out the door. Thalia layed down on the bed and quickly fell asleep. Hours later Jax woke Thalia up. Jax said “Thalia it’s time.”

Thalia stood up and said “let’s go.” They walked downstairs and into the basement. The originals stood there.

Klaus said “are you guys ready?”

Thalia said “let’s do this.” Jax and Thalia walked to opposite sides of the room. Rebecca and Kol started putting chains around Jaxs wrists, stomach, neck, and ankles. Freya and Masayo did the same to Thalia.

Klaus said “remember to say the mantra.”

Thalia said “we know.” Jax and Thalia’s eyes turned yellow.

Kol said “it’s starting.”

Rebecca said “start the montra.”

Jax and Thalia said “alpha, beta, omega” over and over again. Their bones began to break as they changed into wolves. Thalia said “it’s not working.”

Klaus said “the mantra symbolizes that our wolf side can never be buried for long, it will always come out.”

Thalia said “always come out.”

Jax said “what do you mean?”

Thalia said “what three thing things cannot long be hidden?” as she began to ask herself.

A few seconds later Thalia said “the sun, the moon, the truth.” She said it “over and over again” until she changed back into a human. Thalia said “let me go, I have control.”

Klaus said “unchain her.” Kol and Freya quickly took the chain off of her. Thalia ran towards Jax as soon as she was unchained. She put her hand on his face and moved it so they were look at each other.

Thalia said “Jax what three thing cannot long be hidden? Look at me what three things?”

Jax said “the sun, the moon, the truth.”

“Good say it again” Thalia said. Jax said it over and over again until he became human again. Thalia took the chains off Jax and they stood up.

Freya said “how did you guys change back?”

Jax said “that questions for Thalia.”

Thalia said “you said our wolf side would always come out and that gave me an idea. The mantra we’ve been using says that we can rise to alpha and fall to a beta or even a omega. The mantra I said lists things that can never be hidden for long and it gave me control.”

Rebecca said “the sun, the moon and the truth can never be hidden for long.”

Klaus said “looks like we got a new mantra.” Jax and Thalia did many great things but this was the first. They created the mantra that helped wolves gain control until they found an anchor. Our next story starts on Lacus(the planet for portal masters). They mastered their powers somewhat quickly but this story is more personal. Its starts a month after they left Lycanthria and the night before they for Andris(the planet for warlocks).

Jax and Thalia were both getting ready. They have a joining room. Jax had a date and Thalia was going to hang out with Dragon Flame and Carter.

Thalia walked into Jax’s room and said “Jax I’m leaving.”

Jax said “okay see you later.”

Thalia opened the door to see Vilandra about to knock. Vilandra said “hi Thalia, am I at the wrong room?”

“No I just came to tell Jax I was leaving.”

“Oh.”

Thalia said “so I’m gonna go” and walked out of the room. Vilandra walked into the room and closed the door behind her.

Vilandra said “Jax where are you?”

Jax walked out of the bathroom and said “I’m right here.”

Vilandra turned around and said “are you ready to go?”

“Yes.”

“Where did Thalia go?”

“To get Valkar.”

Vilandra said “okay lets go.” They teleported to a restuaraunt call Ian’s café. They sat down and ordered.

A few block away Thalia was at a restaurant called the mirage. She was with Carter, Dragon Flame, Valkar and Joshua. Valkar now looks like he’s two. He was sitting on Thalia’s lap. Joshua said “Carter how have you been?”

Carter said “I can’t complain. Hey Thalia where’s Jax?”

Thalia said “He telling Vilandra that he loves her.”

Dragon Flame said “what!”

Joshua said “Dragon Flame what’s wrong?”

Dragon Flame said “Jax can’t tell Vilandra he loves her.”

Thalia said “why not?”

Dragon Flame said “If he tells her that he loves her, she’ll be linked to him forever. She’ll never be able to love anyone else.”

Thalia said “I have to go, I have to stop him” and stood up.

She handed Valkar to Carter and ran to Ian’s café. He ran to Jax and Vilandra’s table. Jax said “Thalia what are you doing here?”

Thalia said “I need to talk to you alone.”

“Okay, I’ll be right back Vilandra.”

Vilandra said “okay.” Jax and Thalia walked outside of the café.

Jax said “what do you need Thalia?”

Thalia said “you can’t tell Vilandra you love her.”

“Why not?”

“She’ll be linked to you and she’ll never be able to fall in love with anyone else. For the rest of her life she’ll only have feelings for you.”

“I can’t do that to her but what am I gonna do?”

Thalia said “come with me” and pulled Jax back into the café.

Thalia quickly explained everything to Vilandra. Vilandra said “I love you Jax, we’ll figure it out.”

Thalia said “she’s right Jax we’ll figure it out.”

Jax said “I know we will.” Jax and Thalia did many great things in their life but they also had many struggles. This was the first one but there are many more. The rest of the time was pretty normal so let’s skip ahead five years.

It took Jax and Thalia five years to learn how to control their powers. During that time Jax and Vilandra got engaged. Their wedding is in six months. Joshua and Thalia are still together. Joshua is planning to propose. Jax and Thalia’s coronation is in a month. They are excited and ready to become king and queen. The species now live in harmony. The originals created a treaty together and all signed it, along with Jax and Thalia.

Now let’s get back to the story you want to hear. Thalia had a date with Joshua. They ate and then went for a walk through town. They stopped in front of the unity fountain (the unity fountain was built to represent how far we’ve come. It was Jax and Thalia’s favorite spot.) Joshua said “Thalia I love you.”

Thalia said “me too.”

“Thalia we’ve been together five years and you still can’t say it.”

“I want to but I can’t you know that.”

“Just say it I want you to.”

Thalia said “I can’t I won’t.”

“Then why are we still together if you can’t even tell me you love me.”

“You know how I feel Joshua.”

“It’s not enough anymore.”

“You don’t mean that” Thalia said.

“I do, and I think we should break up.”

“I don’t want to break up.”

Joshua turned away from Thalia and said “well I’m breaking up with you.” He walked away as it started to rain. Thalia teleported to Jax who was with their parents at the castle. Thalia appeared across the room from Jax. Jax walked over to her and said “Thalia whats wrong?”

Thalia said “we broke up.” Jax wrapped his arms around her as she began to cry.

He said “it will be okay Thalia, I promise.” Jax walked with Thalia up to her room and Thalia climbed under the covers on her bed. Jax walked outside the room to see his parents sitting on the ground.

Eva said “is she okay?”

Jax said “I don’t know she won’t talk to me.”

Percy said “maybe she need her best friend.”

Jax said “I am her best friend.”

Eva said “I think he means Xan.”

Percy said “I do.”

Jax said “I’ll go get him” and opened a portal.

Jax ran through the portal and appeared in the throne room on Muerino. Xan said “Jax what are you doing here?”

“Joshua and Thalia broke up. I think she needs you.”

“Okay let’s go.” They walked back through the portal and were outside Thalia’s room. Xan walked into the room as Jax closed the portal. Xan walked over to the bed and said “Thalia are you okay?”

Thalia sat up and said “no, are you okay?”

Xan said “not really.”

“What’s wrong?”

“I asked Cora for a divorce.”

“Why?”

“We’ve grown apart and I don’t love her anymore. What happened with you and Joshua?”

“He wants me to tell him I love him but I’m scared that he’s not my one true love. So we got into a fight over it and we broke up.”

“If he can’t accept that you can’t literally say the words maybe he’s not the right guy for you.”

“Maybe he’ll understand and change his mind.”

“I really hope he does Thalia, now scoot over.”

Thalia moved to the other side of the bed and Xan climbed under the covers. Thalia layed her head on his chest and Xan wrapped his arm around Thalia. Xan said “it’ll be okay Thalia, I promise.”

Thalia said “I know.”
