Man in the Robe.

The grey clouds engulfed the morning skies as the end of school drew nearer. "Looks like there's gonna be rain today" I said as I glanced outside the window while my best friend Ryouta Shirou was whacking away at his bento box without a care in the world.

"That's god's way of saying something bad is going to happen sooner or later" said Shirou while stuffing his face as if he hadn't eaten in days. Although he's constantly eating, it seems to be that he has high metabolism on his side to keep him the same size.

I never believed in any gods. It thought, if they ever did exist, they had no reason to deserve respect or prayers seeing as to how much suffering there is in the world. "Don't give me that bullshit, the only thing I'm worried about is us getting home without getting drenched" I said replying to Shirou's comment. As he finished his bento he laughed at my reply and said "Don't worry, I have a spare umbrella if you don't have one." The break bell rang and it was time to get ready for the next lesson.

As the History Teacher ran his mouth, I continued staring out the window thinking of various and random things like how much I would change this world if I had the power to. To end all the problems faced by humanity and to keep us in check so we don't over populate or blow ourselves up to oblivion. My brain finds it convenient to have these thoughts race through my mind whenever I'm bored.

It was finally the end of school and we stood outside the school entrance as the downpour continued. We opened up our Umbrellas and we were on our way. Shirou and I lived in the same neighborhood so we always walk home together.

I was suddenly overcome by a feeling that something were wrong. As we turned into our neighborhood, our surroundings started to grow a red hue from the road to the houses and the sky.

A dark figure appeared a few meters ahead of us. He seemed to be wearing a black robe with his face covered with the hood of the robe. "You seeing what I'm seeing?" I said while looking over to Shirou…only to see that he was no longer walking beside me. "Jeez did that bastard run away? Fucking Pussy" I muttered to myself and looked back at the man in the Robe.

He slowly raised his arm up with his index finger extended pointing towards me while a dark aura grew from him. I couldn't move a inch, I had no control of my body as it was struck with fear. Suddenly I was a foot off the ground engulfed in a blood red flame and my vision started to become blurry and just before I passed out completely, the man in the robe faded away into thin air.
