Chapter 7

(Important question, is the story going too fast for you guys? Im sorry if it does, I just hate slow-burn stories and I like it fast pace. Anyways back to the story!)

Superman guides the Hulk and little Erin through the corridors of the massive Watchtower station on an introductory tour

"This is the central monitoring hub where we coordinate missions across the globe. Those are the main power batteries..." Superman said

Erin stares around in wide-eyed wonder while the Hulk lumbers along, trying his best to seem disinterested despite being impressed by the scale of everything

(grumbling) "Stupid flying space house... Could have made it here just by jumping real hard" Hulk said with confidence

(chuckling) "I'm sure you could've, big fella. Maybe next time we'll test that out" Superman said with amusement

They pass through an elongated corridor, the ceiling rising up to accommodate the Hulk's towering stature. Erin darts ahead, peeking into open doorways

"Ooh, what's in here? This looks like a big gym!" Erin said with sparkles in her eyes

They emerge into an immense training dojo with mats across the floor and various workout equipment along the walls. In the center, Black Canary is running through an intense hand-to-hand combat training regiment

"Whoaaa, who's that lady? She looks so cool!" Erin said

The Hulk stops in his tracks, seemingly entranced as he watches Black Canary's fluid, powerful moves. Sweat glistens on her toned arms as she pivots and delivers a blistering combination of strikes and throws

(smiling knowingly) "That's Black Canary, one of our top hand-to-hand combatants and a founding member of the Justice League. She's..." Superman said

But the Hulk seems to have tuned Superman out, his eyes unabashedly following every pivot and strike of Black Canary's training form. Erin giggles, elbowing the towering giant

(whispering loudly) "Somebody's got a cr-u-ush!" Erin giggles

(snapping out of it) "Wha- No! Stupid loud girl just... good at the fighting stuff is all" Hulk says in a panic

Black Canary finishes her routine in a low fighting stance, finally noticing her audience. She arches an eyebrow at the strange sight

"Well... I'd heard we had some new, unusual members joining up but this is..... different." Black Canary says in a confused tone

Black Canary is a striking heroine with blonde hair and a lithe, athletic build befitting her martial arts skills. Her most iconic look consists of a bodysuit with strategic cutouts or designs that expose parts of her torso. This black suit is complemented by fishnet stockings, black boots, and black fingerless gloves or elbow-length gloves

She grabs a towel, wiping the sweat from her brow as she walks over with the same confidence she displays in battle. Up close, her striking beauty is even more apparent, seemingly at odds with the trained fighter aura she exudes

(extending her hand) "Welcome to the Watchtower, big guy. I'm..." Black Canary says before getting interrupted

(clearing his throat loudly) "Hulk...know who you are. Heard all about it" Hulk said

He reaches out and gently takes her comparatively tiny hand in his own, shaking it with meekness and care starkly contrasting his usual bravado

"Black...Canary was it? The uh, fighty lady one" Hulk said

(arching an eyebrow) "Well, I suppose that's one way to put it. And you're the Hulk I've been hearing so much about..."

She sizes him up with an appraising look, seeming unfazed by his incredible size and stature

 "Gotta admit, I'm impressed you were able to match blows with big blue over there. Takes an incredible amount of power and skill" Black Canary said 

The Hulk puffs out his chest instinctively at the praise, trying and failing to seem nonchalant

"Oh, uh...yeah. Was no big thing really. Just uh, just doing what Hulk does best. The smashing and... stuff" Hulk said

(giggling) "You shoulda seen him, Miss Canary! He was like" makes impact sounds "POW! BRAM! Right through buildings and everything!" Erin said

(dryly) "Yes, and we're all still trying to tally up that particular reconstruction fund, I'm afraid" Superman said

(grinning at the Hulk) "Well, if you've got that kind of power to spare, maybe you'd be up for a little one-on-one training sometime, big guy? See how long you can go before I put you on the mat." Black Canary said with a playful tone

She gives an exaggerated wink, clearly toying with the flustered behemoth. Erin claps her hands over her mouth, trying not to laugh out loud

(audibly swallowing) "Uhh... yeah. Sure. The training stuff. Could definitely uh, show you some moves maybe" Hulk said

Up close, Black Canary's incredible physique and combat-honed curves are on full display in her attire. The Hulk can't seem to peel his eyes off of her

(low, slightly husky tone) "I'll hold you to that, Hulk. Could definitely learn a few new... techniques from a big strong guy like you"

She pats his massive arm flirtatiously before sauntering off, throwing a coy wink over her shoulder. The Hulk is openly gawking now, mouth slightly agape

(hugging her sides, laughing) "Somebody's in looooove! Hulk and Canary, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-" Erin said 

(snapping out of it) "Grrrr! Shut up, puny dumb girl! Hulk no have any dumb... whatever you said!" Hulk said

He stomps off with Erin giving chase, still gleefully teasing him as Superman watches on in amusement, shaking his head slowly.

(muttering) "And here I thought getting him onto the team would be the hard part... " Superman said
