Hubby, Please Don't Divorce Me

“You think you have everything figured out by forcing me to marry you, don’t you? Tsk!” Roxanne spat mockingly, her eyes spitting fire at the man before her. “I love you too, Roxxy.” Sebastian regarded her with an endearment that always caused her skin to crawl. A soft smile laced his lips-one she longed to wipe off his face. If possible, Roxanne wished she could tear his treacherous face with her bare hands. “I will so make you pay, Sebastian Sinclair. You would wish you never crossed paths with me. That is a promise!” As she whispered these words into his ear, her warm breath tickled his skin, causing Sebastian to lose control. Before she could step away from him, he swiftly grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer. The slow love song in the background added to the fake image of love between the couple. The grand wedding reception had no flaw, except the singular couple that stood in the middle of the dance floor. One was overjoyed to finally have her, while the other couldn’t wait to torment him for every pain he caused her. “Get your filthy hands off…” Before Roxanne could finish her words, her husband claimed her lips hungrily, causing her to go stiff in his arms, after all, she couldn’t push him away in the presence of all the guests. The loud cheers and applause filled the room, making almost everyone envious of the power couple. However, one thing was certain, all hell would break loose soon enough. ============== In her past life, Roxanne Winslow felt nothing but pure hatred towards her husband. For all she knew, he got her brother arrested and later murdered in prison. However, he still used that fact to force her into a marriage, hiding the truth about her brother’s death from her. As payback, Roxanne cheated on him, plotted, and even schemed against her husband, until she was finally faced with a divorce agreement from Sebastian. It was only after she gladly signed the divorce document and ended up betrayed, scammed, miserable and dead that she realised Sebastian Sinclair has always been the umbrella that blocked out the scorching sun for her. Now that she got a second chance to live, Roxanne would worship the ground on which Sebastian steps, just so he won’t bring up the topic of divorce. She must atone for all her sins, protect Sebastian, and make him happy in this lifetime. The problem is, even if she wanted to remain Mrs Sinclair, a thousand reasons were waiting to tear their fragile union apart...

Angry old master

[Oh my God! Roxanne cheated on her husband!]

[Why do celebrities always need to play by the industry rules, even when they have no reason to do so?]

[I am so disappointed in Roxxy for taking all of us for a fool. Here she was, talking about being faithful and appreciating our partners, yet she was cheating on her husband behind his back? Tsk!]

[What a hypocrite!]

[What would compel your husband to walk away after hearing you were having an abortion? Clearly, the child wasn't for him. How shameless!]

[I can't believe I really vouched for this person. The joke's on me now.]

[What's happening to young people these days? A married woman aborting a child because she cheated on her husband? Smh!]

[From henceforth, I am going to boycott everything that has Roxanne's name on it.]

[I will not believe any of this until my idol comes out to explain things. Roxanne isn't that type of artist. Your favs have never met her doing anything underhanded.]

[Why is everyone ignoring the video about Roxanne's death?]

[Who cares if she's dead or not? She has been pretending her whole life. Maybe this death is also fake news from her side.]

[To think she was so young and pretty. That face really deceived her into thinking all men in the universe belonged to her, huh? What's the use of being a beauty with no brains, anyways?]

[I once spotted her with her lover entering a hotel, but no one believed me when I said it. Her husband was just too scared of being ridiculed, so he quickly buried all the negative news about her.]

There were varied opinions about Roxanne Winslow-both positive and negative. However, the negatives quickly drowned anything positive that could be said about her. It was as if someone somewhere was fanning the flames about her negative news. Hence, all positive news disappeared as quickly as they came, leaving only the negative ones.

Even though it was late at night, many brands were occupied with phone calls to their representatives and Roxanne's former company, Starlets and Stars Entertainment. Fortunately for Starlets and Stars, Roxanne cancelled her contract with them earlier in the day. This only meant that the current scandal had absolutely nothing to do with them.

Unfortunately for all the brands that were reaching out to the entertainment agency, no one was there to answer their questions. It was as if the agency was punishing them for how Roxanne ended things with them.

To top it all off, none of the contracts Roxanne signed in her two years of being with the agency was initiated by them, hence, they really had no explanation to give to the various brands.

Calling Hera Young at this moment would allow the various brands and companies to vent their anger, and that was where it ended. There was nothing the manager could do to help them either, as Hera herself was unaware of Roxanne's whereabouts.

After she stayed with Roxanne at the hospital briefly, her daughter's nanny called in an emergency. Hera could only leave Roxxy in the care of her assistant and driver, as she left to care for her sick daughter.

The real problem then arose about how to approach Emperor Vibes Entertainment, since they were the ones who provided all the deals for Roxanne. Then again, she wasn't a signed artist with them, and her contracts were also sourced by the president's office.

No one was willing to approach the president of Sinclair Group at this moment. Even if the rumors were about Roxanne being a cheating wife, she was still Sebastian's wife, and her death would still impact him greatly.

Even if Sebastian wasn't mourning Roxanne's death, very few people would dare to discuss a breach of contract because of a mere rumor. Sebastian was unapproachable, and this meant that they were all to remain hanging till he gave them a solution on his own.

The internet was on fire, but the people who didn't go online wouldn't have any way of knowing about the most trending news at the moment. One such person was Sebastian Sinclair, who sat in the darkness of his study. There was no light in the room, as he didn't bother to switch them on. Maybe the darkness had a way of helping him cope better with the situation.

The whole place was eerily quiet and dark. However, the first thing that would make anyone know of his presence was the huge trail of smoke that surrounded him. The mood around Sebastian was Melancholic, and he seemed to be in a world of his own.

Anyone who saw him now could say that he was quietly smoking his life away. On the ashtray beside him were about ten sticks of burnt cigarettes that he had smoked since he reached the house. Sebastian's phone was switched off and there was no way anyone could reach him.

In the grand sitting room of the mansion, the servants ran helter skelter as they tried to appease the two angry people seated with all forms of emotions appearing on their faces.

Some were hiding behind a pillar in the dining area, peeping into the room. Others were running to get water and other drinks for the guests in the sitting room.

"Where did you say that brat is? Get him here right now!" An elderly man who seemed to be in his late sixties sat down as if the sofa had pins that were pricking him. He moved from one spot to the other, hitting his cane against the tiled floor now and then. His anger was palpable.

"Old M… Master, the boss… the boss…" The butler didn't know what to say, as he could tell that the old man was angry, just like his boss. He was scared of his angry boss, but the angry old man in front of him suddenly looked too scary for him to ignore either.

The old man harshly clanked his cane against the tiled floor once again, and the butler flinched.

"Are you courting death?" The old man blurted out, this time around, in a scaringly calmer tone.

"Father, please calm down. You need to consider your health." The younger man beside the old man prompted him, though he was also fearful of his father's current mood.

Anger wasn't the emotion he felt at the moment, but worry and concern were what overtook him. He glared at the butler with a look that said, "One wrong word, and you're dead!"

The butler had no other words to use as an excuse, but could only reply in a grave tone, "Old Master, the boss is in his study,"

"What!"
