Flippy X Reader: Military Jealousy

You and Flippy are at the supermarket buying a few necessary things you two needed. You pushed the shopping cart while he follows next to you.

Y/n: We still have milk right?

Flippy: We do, but we're ruining out of honey raisin bran cereal and oatmeal bars.

Y/n: Alright, you go get them while I'll get some meat from the deli.

Flippy: (He smiles) Okay.

He walks away in one direction while you head over to the deli side of the store. Luckily there wasn't anyone in line yet so you were first to order. From beef, pork, chicken, venison and turkey. You tell the employee which one you wanted.

While he picks it up and starts chopping away another guy stands in line a few feet next to you.

???: Hm, I haven't tried venison yet. Have you?

You turn your head to him seeing him stare at the vension meat.

Y/n: I've tried venison steaks and loin chops. And yeah, it's really good. It's been a while since I've had it.

Leo: Thanks, I'm Leo by the way.

Y/n: Nice to meet you, I'm Y/n. I haven't seen you around town before, are you new here?

Leo: Ha, I'm I that obvious? But yeah, I just moved here two weeks ago from Fort Myers from the next town over.

Y/n: Fort Myers? You're in the military?

Leo: Yes ma'am, I'm working on getting my education here for welding and I hear this town has the best trading school for it. That and this town is pretty cool compared to where I lived.

Y/n: I'm glad you like this town. Pretty much anyone that comes here even if they're visiting say they love it. (The employee gives you the chopped bag of meats)

Leo: And I can see why, everything here's great.

Y/n: I know right, well I got to get going. It was nice meeting you Leo.

Leo: Oh wait, before you leave I was thinking maybe-

Before he could finish his sentence Flippy comes from behind you and places the cereal and oat bars in the cart.

Flippy: I also got your favorite flavored oat bars too.

Leo: Wait, Head Sergeant Flippy?

Flippy: Yes? (Places his hand over your shoulder)

He looks pretty serious as he stares at Leo. Something tells you he knows him somehow.

Leo: Aww you don't remember me? From Fort Myers? It's great seeing you again. I just moved here a couple of weeks ago from there. Didn't think you'd be here.

Flippy: Yes well, right now we got somewhere to be. It was nice seeing you here solider.

As polite as that sounded, you knew that deep down your boyfriend did not like him for whatever reason. Flippy then takes the lead of the cart and you say goodbye to Leo before going with Flippy.

After paying you two hope in his truck and he drives off. You could obviously tell something's bothering him since he saw Leo.

Y/n: Flippy? Honey are you okay?

Flippy: (Sighs) Yes but... I just don't like that guy.

Y/n: Leo? Why? What happened?

Flippy: Back when I did some work at Fort Myers he was in the recruiting program, and it was my job to toughen him and the rest of the soliders. While he did good during training, he was... known for flirting with the female recruits and always acted like he was above everyone else. Being in the military is being part of a team, we look out for each other and work together. But he always wanted to be the solo hero. Not only that but... my instincts has been telling me since day one that he wouldn't take a bullet for this country if it means of saving it.

Y/n: Uhh...

Flippy: I know that sounds harsh. But my instincts have never wronged me before. And seeing him talking to you... it made me...

Y/n: Jealous? (Smile)

Flippy: (Looks at you for a second before looking back at the road) Yeah... I was.

The intersection light turns red and he stops the truck. You losen the seatbelt and turn to him.

Y/n: Aww honey, you know I wouldn't do anything like that.

Flippy: (Turns to you and takes your hands) I know sweetheart. I'm not worried about you doing anything. I just don't like that guy. And I especially don't like it if he talks to you. When I saw him talking to you I knew exactly what he was going to ask for.

Y/n: Asking me out? I would have rejected him.

Flippy: And that's the thing, he doesn't stop even if you say reject him. I've seen it happen before with a couple of other female recruits that made a complaint about him. But with you... you're very important to me. And if he thinks he has some chance with you then he's got another thing coming.

Y/n: Oohh you sound real serious there. (You kiss his cheek) Kind of hot.

Flippy: (Chuckles) I'm serious.

Y/n: I know, that's what makes it kind of hot. You being protective of me.

He then gives you a look that you what exactly he wants after this.

Flippy: If you think it's hot then just you wait until we get home and I'll show you just how important you are to me.

Y/n: (You lean closer to his face) Hmm, until then we got a way to go since there might be a little traffic on the way back so... (You place your hand on his thigh)

Flippy: (Smirks and blushes) You're a tease you know that.

Y/n: (blushes) Yup. And you're always the one to teach me better aren't you?

Flippy: I know that...

Before you two share a kiss a car behind you honks their horn startling both of you as you two realize the light was green now. You quickly sit back down as he starts driving off. You couldn't help but laugh at that as you feel a little embarrassed, but in a good way at least.

Flippy: (Laughs) Well before we get there, is there another place we need to go to?

Y/n: Oh man yeah! I forgot we need to stop by the docks and get some fish. (Smile) I'm making one of your favorites.

Flippy: Alright. And I love you Y/n.

Y/n: I love you too, (You wink) "Head" Sergeant.

It takes him a few seconds to realize what you mean by that. And when he does realize his entire face turns red.
