Chapter 3: Diagon alley and the Crows vault

The wall suddenly started vibrating, and in a few seconds, an archway leading to the Diagon Alley that every Harry Potter fan wanted to enter opened.

Inside the alley were an assortment of restaurants, shops, and other sights. The streets and shops were packed with wizards and witches of all ages. A perfect place to buy all the needed items, make new memories, and go on adventures exploring the places hidden in the magnificent Diagon Alley.

Firstly, we headed towards Gringotts, the wizarding bank, where there were more gallons kept than in the hands of all wizards. It was quite a bold statement from the goblins, and it was completely wrong.

Those greedy goblins could only dream about controlling the gallon of Great Britain. They weren't even close to controlling the whole world's gallons. Why else haven't the goblins rebelled? It was just because they didn't have the resources and strength.

Some might say that they are under the 1000-year-old contract that has been keeping them at bay, but that contract is just a joke in front of high-ranking wizards. With all those gallons they had collected over the years, it wouldn't be a surprise if they had paid some grandmaster-ranked wizard to nullify the contract.

It wasn't like a greedy Crow family member had done it. Definitely not....

...

Due to their greedy nature and fanaticism for gold coins, goblins were great allies with us.The goblins even had multiple cults in their tribe that worshipped water and gallons. Although there were also some who worshipped the gods of war, they were 1 in a thousand goblins.

Even though Gringotts held less than a percentage of the Crow family's earnings over the years, It was still enough to fill half of the wizarding bank that was rumored to hold most of the wizarding world's gallons.

The working goblins looked at me for a moment and hurriedly bowed down as they recognized the mark of the Crow family on my clothes. I really should quickly get another pair of clothes, as I might get recognized by some old member of the 28 betrayers.

One goblin had called the head goblin of Gringotts, who usually met famous guests like Dumbeldore, the minister of magic, and so on.

"Follow me, young master, of the Crow family; I'll lead you to my master, the head of Gringotts Mogllewog."

The old goblin wasn't truly the head of Gringotts; it was just an act put on for the wizards. Did those pathetic rebels really think they were worthy of the head of Gringotts personally welcoming them? Mogllewog just didn't have enough time for that kind of puny trouble and let one of his disciples do the job, as those kinds of deals weren't really worth much for 1000-year-old Gringotts.

"Welcome, young ruler of the Crow family. I'm a puny goblin, Mogllewog, great you."

"I hope any of your servants haven't offended you, or otherwise I'll have their heads cut off and put on show for other goblins to throw tomatoes and stones at."

I was a little surprised at the resolution of this goblin to kill his own kin, but I quickly regained my composure. If this old goblin wasn't resolute enough, he probably would have lost his position long enough. Truly, anybody in a high position wasn't simple.

I motioned for him to lead us to the Crows family vault, as I had come to retrieve a few thousand gallons and an item that an old ancestor had left behind.

"Lead me to the family vault."

"Of course, young master Crow."

Arabella was told to wait by the goblin as the vault had multiple protections and restrictions that didn't allow those who didn't have the Crow family's bloodline. The goblin led me through a variety of tunnels and paths. There were hundreds of protections on the way.

We stopped on a grand pathway. The walls were made out of gold and marble. There were many paintings on the wall of older Crow family members. Of course, they couldn't talk like those magical paintings of headmasters in Dumbeldores offices and all over the school.

The Crows disdained such means, as the soul was meant to be pure according to the Crows ancestors beliefs, and those that split a part of it weren't able to reach higher levels in the way of magic.

"From here on, I cannot continue forward, as the protections would end my life in a few seconds," said the old goblin with a scared expression on his face. Even those greedy goblins were scared of the threat of death, no matter the amount of gallons that were stored in the Crows vault.

There might have been some truly greedy goblins who had tried to steal the possessions of the Crow family, but they were probably already dead and forgotten.

The entrance to the vault of crows was completely different from the other vaults.

There was a huge door made out of pure gold, just showing off the past glory of the Crow family. There was a huge keyhole in the door that needed a huge key.

I took the key from my pocket that my grandfather had handed to me before I left and opened the door.
