Long Day

Even though the library closed, it was still early for dinner and the students were only just headed toward the great hall just like they were.

Riddle was a little anxious about walking beside Morsia as he can't imagine what the rest of the Slytherins will come up with if they see them together.

'Hope I don't look like a simp' he thought to himself as he shook his head and began walking a bit behind Morsia.

At the entrance of the Great Hall stood Camille waving at them.

"Here you are!" she exclaimed grabbing Morsia's hand, to which she half smiled.

Riddle was racking his brain, 'Basilisk? I've never read anything about it.'

Just then he bumped into Morsia as he was absent-mindedly walking behind her.

She eyed him threateningly, he had almost knocked her off.

"Sorry," he muttered drifting away his eyes.

"I'm going to the dorm, see you later" he added, hastily pulling himself away from the crowd.

"Wait!" Morsia called him out just when he was about to turn his back.

'God, she won't leave me now' he rolled his eyes in secret.

"Can you put my books too? It ain't much" She forced her books onto his hands.

Riddle stood there clueless as she went inside the Great Hall with Camille.

'What the, what did she take me for?'

Notts had not spoken a word or pulled any tricks against Morsia, so it was a fun dinner with Slytherins engaging happily with their newcomer without being interrupted.

They still can't believe Morsia didn't get any proper wizard schooling until now.

"That's horrible!" Avery remarked when Morsia told them that her parents had died when she was young and had to live with her muggle grandparents.

"How come it never occurred to you to come to Hogwarts?" Camille asked stupidly.

"The letters you mean? I didn't receive any, I randomly met Dumbledore one day and here I am" Morsia replied.

"How come?" Rosier shot his doubt, and soon he had his foot stomped by his beloved girlfriend.

"Probably because my parents were illegal immigrants" she suggested.

The eerie silence that followed this remark was broken when she assured them it was a joke.

"I only know, what you have known now" she added convincing them.

"Makes sense" Riddle retorted randomly, taking everyone by surprise, Notts was more taken aback specifically.

Morsia simply nodded at him.

The dinner was a feast, everyone was already half asleep with full stomachs.

Avery was sad that his dessert was gone before he could finish it.

"I was halfway through it, you know" he had painfully remarked.

Morsia stopped in her tracks near the entrance looking at the two second-year Ravenclaws, the blonde one was holding a spectacles by her wand while the other pathetically tried to grab it from mid-air.

"What are you doing?" Camille had joined her from behind before looking at the scene.

Morsia signed at the two's direction.

"That's Myrtle and Olive," said a familiar voice behind them, it was Morsia's licorice friend - Amara.

She walked toward the pair, with a flick of her wand she got hold of the spectacles and gave it to Myrtle who was now on the verge of tears as she embarrassingly ran away.

"Do it again, and I'll tell Willow to kick you out of quidditch" Amara looked down at her with an authoritative glance.

The girl said something about just teasing around and didn't mean any harm as she walked away.

"Damn, that was so cool!" Camille exclaimed at her.

Amata simply smiled shyly before telling her it was her prefect duty.

"Hey," it was some unknown voice behind them.

It was a girl, who drastically resembled Notts but she looked less bitchy and slim, wearing Ravenclaw robes.

Morsia looked surprisingly at her as Camille and Amara looked at each other knowingly.

"This is Annebeth's twin sister, Athena" Amara introduced her as Athena smiled vividly at Morsia.

"She's nicer!" Camille hushed Morsia.

"Oh, Hey" Morsia lent her hand to shake.

Weird gesture for a teenager, that's what the other three should've thought but no.

"Wow, you're very eloquent!" Athena chuckled.

Apparently, good looks hide every mistakes and awkwardness you may show.

"Hey! Riddle, didn't get to see you all day!" she suddenly turned toward Riddle, who had just emerged from the Great Hall behind them.

'Ah here is another one, what a day' he groaned inwardly.

"Oh hey, Notts" he waved at her.

"Hey, you can call me Athena, I'm not my sister" She was less bitchy looking but more annoying than her sister.

"Oh, Notts is less confusing" he smiled curtly as he walked away.

Even though his words clearly conveyed his indifference towards her, Athena was smiling like an Idiot as she looked at him walk away.

They departed after filling Morsia in about all sorts of drama that happen with them and asking about how her past school was. Morsia was simply nodding and occasionally gasping whenever the girls would start 'You won't believe it-'

"What do you think of Athena?" Camille asked her trying to catch up with Morsia.

"What about her? I don't think about anybody" she shrugged.

That's when Camille realized, she can't leech her way onto Morsia.

"Loving the Mortal life eh?" the sudden hushed voice took Morsia aback.

It was Grimm, her subconscious.

"Are you alright, Morsia?" Cammile asked frowning at her.

"I am, you head inside without me, I need some night air" she explained getting rid of her.

"What are you here for?" she asked as she paused by the balcony looking at the sky as everyone else headed toward their respective dorms.

"Exactly what I'm asking, What are YOU here for?" Grimm counter-attacked her.

"Can't you just stay in my head and watch the drama unfold?" She retorted.

"You're playing with fate, Ma'am, this can get you thrown out of the status, Archangel" Grimm made a point.

"Trust me, It won't happen and I'm not playing with Fates --I'm just filling up a void" she reassured Grimm.

"The void in you?" Grimm mocked to which she simply shrugged.

"Look at you, you look so embarrassing in those clothes" Grimm was complaining.

"The food is good though" she threw an absurd yet meaningful point.

She had annoyed Grimm once again, that it vanished into puffs and dust.

She managed to catch up with Camille and the others at the entrance of the dorm.

To her surprise, the notebooks which she gave Riddle were not all in one place.

"Oii, Morsia, I think this is yours?" Lestrange held a bunch of papers and their cover.

'So this is how he wants to play, eh?' she wondered.

She managed to grab all of her scattered notebooks and head inside the girls' dorm.
