Chapter 159: Dementors

The next day, in the early morning.

Arthur packed everything up and put the little unicorn in his suitcase, then went out.

Instead of going directly to King's Cross Station, he first visited Sirius Black.

"Knock, knock!"

Arthur knocked on the door of the apartment where Sirius lived, and he waited for a long time before Sirius opened the door.

"Not bad, quite cautious."

Obviously, Sirius had observed the situation outside before opening the door, and Arthur was satisfied.

Sirius chuckled, "You finally came. If you didn't come, I would have thought our agreement was canceled."

Arthur smiled and replied, "You know where I went, right?"

Sirius remained silent. Of course, he knew. Sirius was well aware of what Arthur had done in France, thanks to the Daily Prophet that Kreacher sent.

He was also a bit amazed. This guy not only had a dark side, but he was also incredibly talented.

During Arthur's time at Hogwarts, Sirius was still playing pranks on Snape with James.

Sitting on the couch, Sirius brought Arthur a cup of tea.

"So, what brings you here today?"

Sirius asked without beating around the bush.

Arthur didn't waste any time and immediately took out some of Peter's hair and handed it to Sirius.

"I saw Peter Pettigrew yesterday, and this is some of his hair."

When hearing Arthur's words, Sirius tightly clenched his fist, but he managed to control himself.

Arthur took a sip of tea and furrowed his brow.

Was this expired tea that Sirius gave him? Why did it taste weird?

But he didn't bother with such trivial matters.

"I also have some Polyjuice Potion left for you. Use Peter Pettigrew's identity to do some shady things and let people accidentally find out about it."

Sirius didn't understand Arthur's intention.

Arthur felt helpless.

How could someone be so slow, even at his age?

"You need to make people suspect that Peter Pettigrew is still alive. When this matter becomes a big issue, then you can come forward. The Ministry of Magic won't be able to cover it up then."

"That way, you can confront Peter Pettigrew openly and clear your name,"

Arthur explained.

Sirius's eyes lit up. This was an interesting plan.

"Don't worry, I'm good at this kind of thing. I won't make any mistakes."

Sirius assured Arthur.

He secretly swore that if he didn't ruin Peter Pettigrew's reputation and make him a wanted man, then he wouldn't be Black.

Arthur nodded. He had given the message, and how to act was up to Sirius.

"Alright, I should go now. Don't write to me whether you have something or not."

"The Ministry of Magic has sent people to guard Hogwarts. All letters sent to the school will be inspected."

"If I need you, I will contact you."

After giving his instructions, Arthur got up and left.

"Wait!"

Sirius called out to Arthur with some anticipation in his voice.

"Do you know what Harry likes? I want to give him some gifts."

Arthur tilted his head and thought for a moment.

"Well... if you want to give a gift, a Firebolt broomstick is a good choice."

After saying that, he opened the door and left.

"A Firebolt, huh? James, your son is just like you, an excellent Quidditch player."

"If you knew, you would surely be smiling from the afterlife..."

Leaving Sirius's house, Arthur headed to King's Cross Station.

As Arthur boarded the train, Cho and the others had already found a compartment. Inside sat Hermione, Luna, and Cho.

"Why are you so late?"

Cho asked when she saw Arthur enter.

"No worries, I just woke up a bit late. What about Astoria?"

Arthur made up an excuse and changed the subject.

"She said she wanted to be with her sister, so she didn't come. Harry and the others are in the compartment next door," Cho replied.

Arthur nodded to show that he understood.

The train quickly started moving, and Hermione and Luna began to argue throughout the journey.

"Luna, Crumple-Horned Snorkacks don't exist."

"No, they do exist, people just haven't discovered them yet," Luna replied.

"But if they haven't been discovered, how do you know they exist?"

Hermione tried to convince Luna, and Luna handed her a sketchbook.

"Look at this," Luna said.

"What is this?"

"A Crumple-Horned Snorkack."

"How do you know what it looks like?"

"I drew it based on the description in 'The Quibbler.' I recommend you order a copy, then you'll know that Crumple-Horned Snorkack is real."

Hermione gave up.

Arthur and Cho watched from the side and found it funny.

Hermione and Luna were both stubborn, and neither could convince the other.

Plus, Luna had a somewhat simple-minded that Hermione couldn't handle.

But Arthur and Cho didn't try to stop them. It was entertaining to have such a scene on the boring journey.

The heavy rain outside the window kept pouring, and they couldn't see the scenery on the roadside at all.

During the journey, Draco also came over to greet Arthur, but after seeing what was happening in the compartment, he made a few remarks and left.

Lucius Malfoy had specifically instructed Draco to establish a good relationship with Arthur, and Draco had become increasingly cautious when facing him.

The speed of the train gradually slowed down, and the sound of wind and rain outside the window grew louder.

"Are we already there?"

Cho asked, feeling confused as if time had passed by quickly today.

"No, we've only been on the train for two hours. It's impossible to arrive so soon," Arthur denied.

He had noticed that ice crystals had formed on the windows outside the train.

Could it be the effect of Dementors?

Arthur silently wondered what to say, but suddenly the train shook violently.

The lights in the compartment flickered, and Hermione became scared and moved closer to Arthur.

Luna's face turned pale.

"Are you okay, Luna?"

Arthur saw her abnormality and asked in concern.

Luna shook her head, indicating that she was fine.

At that moment, a black shadow appeared on the compartment window, seemingly staring inside.

But that shadow still wasn't enough. A withered, scarred hand pushed the compartment door open.

A Dementor had entered...
