101 Chapter 101: Voldemort Again

Five minutes later, Dumbledore arrived at the spot where Arthur had been standing earlier.

Since he had only sensed the magical disturbance in that direction and didn't know the exact location, Dumbledore took some extra time to reach there.

He furrowed his brow, scanning the giant rocks, fallen trees, and the bottomless black hole on the mountainside.

"Is it you, Tom?"

Dumbledore muttered to himself, waving his wand to try and play the scene from earlier, just like he did in the battle in the Forbidden Forest last year.

Unfortunately, the magical changes were too chaotic, and he got nothing out of his efforts.

In Dumbledore's knowledge, there were only three people capable of using such powerful spells.

One was himself, the second was Grindelwald, and the last was Voldemort.

Since Grindelwald couldn't have escaped from Nurmengard Prison, it could only be Voldemort.

Dumbledore's heart grew heavier. If it was Voldemort, he would have thought about his opponent's strength.

In the past, Voldemort had only shown a deep knowledge of the Unforgivable Curses, and even Dumbledore had to admit that Voldemort was the best in the world when it came to using those three curses.

But now, Voldemort seemed to have reached a deep mastery of normal offensive spells as well, which made Dumbledore feel a sense of fear.

Meanwhile, the culprit, Arthur, had long since left the scene, quietly returning to his dormitory with Furry, completely unaware that he had let Voldemort take the blame.

"Arthur! Wake up! Professor McGonagall has asked everyone to gather in the Great Hall."

Before Arthur could even put today's results in order, someone quickly knocked on the door and interrupted him.

"Alright, I'll go right away."

Although he was somewhat puzzled, Arthur immediately agreed.

Soon, Arthur arrived at the Great Hall, where almost all the young wizards were seated at their respective house tables.

"Cho, do you know what's going on?"

Arthur asked Cho as he sat down beside her.

"I have no idea. Professor McGonagall didn't say anything, but her expression was very serious."

Cho shook her head, showing that she was just as clueless.

There were a lot of young wizards in the Great Hall who were yawning. It was already midnight, and they had just been woken up.

Arthur looked up and saw Professor McGonagall furrowing her brow, her face tense, meaning that something had happened.

Could it be that the Basilisk had attacked someone?

Just as Arthur was thinking this, Dumbledore and his phoenix appeared at the teacher's table.

Seeing so many people in front of him, Dumbledore was slightly taken aback but quickly understood why they were gathered.

"Albus."

Professor McGonagall sighed with relief when she saw Dumbledore's arrival. The serious tone in Dumbledore's message had frightened her.

It had been many years since Professor McGonagall had seen Dumbledore order such a serious instruction to her.

Dumbledore first nodded at Professor McGonagall, gesturing for her to wait, then spoke to all the young wizards.

"Don't panic, everyone. Today was just a test for you to experience an emergency situation. Well, now you can all leave."

After hearing Dumbledore's words, no one had any doubts.

They only complained about why the test was made so late and went back to their respective common rooms.

But Arthur couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

Professor McGonagall's expression earlier couldn't have been faked. There must have been something that happened.

But Arthur didn't give much thought to it. Right now. He was thinking about how much he had improved.

After all the students had left, Dumbledore returned to his office and called Professor Snape and McGonagall to join him.

"Albus, what happened earlier at the location?"

Professor McGonagall asked as soon as she entered the office, while Professor Snape had a curious expression beside her.

Dumbledore didn't immediately answer.

"Minerva, Severus, would you like some late-night snacks?" he said, waving his wand and summoning some snacks.

"Albus! This is not the time for that,"

Professor McGonagall expressed her annoyance. She didn't like how Dumbledore tried to distract her.

"Alright, let's focus on the matter at hand then,"

Dumbledore smoothly shifted the topic.

"I felt a powerful magical disturbance not far from Hogwarts, so I went to investigate."

"And what did you find?"

Professor Snape was quick to ask. If Dumbledore believed it was powerful, it couldn't be something ordinary.

Dumbledore shook his head with regret.

"I'm sorry, Severus. By the time I arrived, it was already too late. There were only broken rocks and fallen trees. The person had already left."

Seeing Professor Snape and McGonagall lost in thought, Dumbledore added,

"Based on my assumption, there are only three wizards in all of Europe capable of causing such a disturbance."

"Do you mean...?"

Professor Snape quickly got the hidden meaning in Dumbledore's words and asked with concern.

"Yes, I suspect Tom has returned," Dumbledore replied.

When hearing Dumbledore's conclusion, both Professor McGonagall's and Snape's faces changed.

If Voldemort had really come back, the wizarding world would fall into chaos again.

...

Exhaling deeply, Arthur stopped waving his wand.

Just now, he almost blew up the small house in his suitcase because he couldn't control the spell's power properly.

Arthur had no choice but to admit that the use provided by the Ea Wand was terrifying.

A simple Disarming Charm reduced his specially crafted test dummy to dust and shred.

It was far from a Disarming Charm; it was more like a Killing Curse that prevented the enemy from ever touching a wand.

Arthur had practiced for two hours, but he still couldn't perfectly control the spell's power.

However, it was already late, so he could only continue training in the future and reach a level where he could control it easily.

...

"System, open my current attribute panel."

Lying comfortably on his bed, Arthur prepared to check his current attributes.

As expected, Arthur discovered that his magical level had surpassed that of a professor and reached the pseudo-legendary level.

Although he still had some distance to cover before reaching Dumbledore's level, he was now among the ranks of powerful people.

At the same time, his talent panel appeared very good, especially in Spellcasting.

He was just one level away from reaching the maximum level. However, Arthur hadn't used the Talent Limit-Breaking Card yet.

After all, gold cards were easy for him to get, while the chance of obtaining a Talent Limit-Breaking Card was much lower.

But it felt odd that the highest proficiency spells he knew were all dark arts. Arthur found it somewhat uncomfortable.

After ignoring it for now, Arthur closed the system panel and went off to sleep.
