Chapter 228 : That Rat 7

"That a load of bull crap," Orion replied with an irritated face, almost shouting. He just got a made-up reason why Nick wanted Pettigrew and that too from not even the boy's mouth, it was Hermione speaking while also making Nick calm down on the side. 

Orion wasn't interested in these pointless lies, his patience also had a limit, he really was expecting some answers, like why the boy was targeting both him and Rose, why he needed Pettigrew, why he attacked them out of the blue, his resemblance to Harry Potter and much more. 

And what did he get? 

"Nick found out about Pettigrew's real identity in the first year and planned to capture him. He wanted to reveal his real face to everyone back then but Pettigrew ran off, Nick tried very hard to find him but he was no longer in Hogwarts.

Today as well, he came here only because he was afraid that Pettigrew had some dark motives, then the attack in Azkaban, we just want to make sure that he didn't hurt anyone in the school. We wanted to help." that was Hermione's explanation. 

'Sorry for the language but now I started to regret not killing this bitch back then with Nick. Though I know it's just my irritation and anger speaking but damn girl, can't you even come up with a more sounding lie than that. 

And what the fuck with Azkaban! it was your boyfriend responsible for that attack, you have the gull to bring that here in this conversation.' Orion was barely keeping his mouth open and cursing her to next Sunday.

[It's most likely that even she is unaware of Nick's deeds. Usually, that is what happens with underlings. Nothing but tools.] Merlin added. 

'Ah, I suddenly remember Danzo of all people. Fuck' Orion internally shook his head and focus on the matter at hand. 

Hearing Orion's refute, Hermione who was making up a lie shut up, even though she knew that this lie wouldn't work on someone like Orion. Maybe it will work on even someone like Dumbledore but not Orion. 

After all, Nick outright targeted Orion and Rose. Especially Orion, going as far as to set up a trap for him to kill him. 

"Let Iron do the speaking Granger, it's obvious that you yourself are not fully aware of the situation or are just too delusional to see the facts," Orion said as he turned to Nick with an intense look.

"Tell me, what exactly do you want? Why target me and Rose? What is your end goal here? I know that it was you who attacked Azkaban, I know that you have dealt with dark eaters. 

Tell me..." Orion asked directly now. He had enough of this game. He just wanted answers now. Now he has more important things to do besides playing detective and finding his motives. 

Soon an old hag who refuses to die will attack the planet and he might be the only shot this little blue orb has to keep sustaining the life. 

Nick though just kept his silence. He didn't intend to say anything, he just kept looking into Orion's eyes contemplating whether to fight the boy or leave here with Hermione. He knew that his chances of winning were low, but running away. That he can. 

"Keep the rat. But remember this, if that rat escapes then there will be a hell to pay." Nick said as he turned around. Walking up to the blasted door was concealed under an illusion. He said those words not even pondering what exactly Pettigrew would do which would cause such things.

Reviving Voldemort? He himself plans to do that to handle Orion. Kill Cedric, why would he, there is no reason as again he plans to revive Voldemort himself so those events in the cannon won't happen again. 

He himself didn't realise but the dark magic had already started to affect him mentally, otherwise, he would have thought about it before acting, and he wouldn't have just charged right in here without thinking. 

Though neither Hermione nor Nick would like to hear this Nick slowly was getting corrupted in the mind. To the point where his reasoning will affect him, he will always choose the more violent and bloody path. 

Hermione sees Nick going out and Orion does not do anything just pursues her lips and follows Nick. 

[Are you going to let him go like this ?] Merlin asked in confusion, he wasn't against it but just wanted to know what his student was thinking.

"HARRY POTTER....

Nick stopped.

Hermione stopped.

Orion slowly sigh. 

"That reaction of yours, why do you look like someone who shouldn't even exist in this world? Why do you react to a name which has nothing to do with you? Why does that girl beside you call you Harry ?..." Said Orion now finally let go of all this reservation. 

He couldn't see Nick or Hermione's face as they were facing the other side but he could feel that it was a sight to be seen.

Merlin on the side finally had an amused face. 

"I know you have something to do with that Death.

I know you are up to something Iron, or should I say Harry. 

Do not consider my silence as my weakness. 

If you think that you can come here and mess with this world. Cause chaos here and target me or my dear ones. Then I assure you that you will only find your own doom. 

Go and tell that mistress of yours that come whenever she likes. She will face the same outcome as what she has faced all this time. For thousands of years." Orion said leaking out his magic, he didn't care anymore. 

Nick just stood there with a shocked face and trembling body, not understanding what was going on. 

No one is supposed to know his real identity besides Hermione. Did she betray him?

No...!

Then what?

He can't say but...

His hand slowly went towards the wand on his side. There was a voice inside his head, telling him to kill. 

That if he doesn't kill then all of his plans will fail. That if he doesn't kill them once again he will fail to save others. Once again everyone he cherishes will die in front of his eyes. 

A shiver ran through his body, somehow simulating him to act, defend himself, his future, their future. 

A seductive voice tells him that just killing one person could save him a lot of pain. Why wouldn't he do it?

Rose, Hermione and Sirius were confused, stunned and completely out of the loop at what going on here respectively. 

Orion just narrowed his eyes... waiting for what Nick chose. He too was ready. 

Maybe Only Merlin at this time could see who was the owner of this seductive voice. But he kept his mouth shut.
