Chapter 201 : Horror Decends

[Hmm I don't remember something like this in either books or movies] Merlin pointed out. 

"I know, and what are you talking about, you never read nor saw any of it," Orion all but shouted.

[Well I just don't think that Rowling put this big plot twist suddenly. If yes then what is left I wonder. 

An affair between Lily Evan and Voldemort, maybe that's why the poor lad turned dark ?] Merlin caressed his long white beard much like Dumbledore though he looked exactly like Gandalf. Hell, he even talks like him.

"Not the time old man, it's not the time for something like that." Orion quickly said as he got up from his seat with Hurry. 

Well at least he tried to do so, Daphne was still clinging to his arm like a baby panda, and he didn't say it lightly, the said cuteness and power in the limbs was there. 

'Why I am training there body again, I need to seriously reflect on that,' Orion gritted his teeth.

[Becuase you wanted to make sure there exist women in the world besides female trolls who can match you in bed] Merlin happily chirped.

Orion almost tumbled over after hearing that!

Where the hell did that come from, how is that old man reading his mind even after he protected it with Law?

"Daphne get going, I wi..." Orion shook his head like he didn't want to deal with the old man any more and was talking to Daphne but the horrified look on her face stop him. 

She wasn't the only one making this face. Many students were doing that and so the professors. 

Because up in the sky, there was something happening which made almost everyone take a sharp intake of breath. 

Hundreds, no Thousands of dementors suddenly descended on the stadium. 

There was not even a doubt that this was not a mistake, a sudden attack like in the train may happen if a rogue Dementor goes out of control but there are thousands of them. And many are particularly aiming for students around professors. 

There are after all very limited professors in Hogwarts and less than 7 are currently present here in the stadium. Usually, there are more but this weather just drove them away.

So the moment that Dementor descended, it was on the professor to protect the students. But they were not enough. 

This is not just a few Dementors. Everyone is not Harry Potter or Dumbledore. They can't do a corporal Patronus. 

Let alone a Patronus capable enough to repel all those Demtmentors. At best, they can erect a barrier to prevent Dementors from harming the students. 

But that's it.

There are a total of four high-sitting places, around the big stadium and most of all of them are dedicated to one house. Meaning at least there was always one powerful wizard present in one of the house sides. 

Wizards like McGonagall, Snape and Flitwick are specifically strong that they can repel those Dementors. But the only problem was...

Orion saw the Dementors not running away from the Patronus like they usually do. There getting repelled but rather than leaving they just fly high up for a few minutes only to come back to attack once more. 

"Why they are suddenly coming here ?" Orion asked, but there was no answer. 

'I am asking you, old man,' He repeated with a little irritation. He currently was in a dilemma to what to do.

Whether he should go ahead and stop those Dementors or should he go save the students?

[How I'm supposed to know that, and honestly is there any reason for them taking action towards students' matters anyway? How come your actions change no matter what their reason is? They are the enemy that all is important.] Merlin snapped back, what he said was true. 

Orion after hearing this too nodded, yes it doesn't matter why they are here. Right now the most important thing was to save the students and repell those emotion eaters away.

But that was one thing saying that totally another when doing it. 

"Orion," Came the female voice which drove Orion out of his daze. It wasn't from Daphne and there is no way Merlin sounds like that. That only means that the one talking with him was. 

"Ambrosius, Snap out of it" McGonagall once again shouted as he waved her wand which was glowing white at the tip, indicating that she was controlling the cat Patronus around her, doing all sorts of gymnastic and repelling the Dementors.

"Huh, wh..." Orion snaps his head back at her only to see her struggling to control the huge crowd of Dementors. 

Orion seeing this immediately understood what she wanted. Of course, she was asking him to use Patronus. There is no other person besides her in the Gryffindor side who can do Patronus besides only a few higher-up students. But there Patronus is also weak. 

"Don't mind me then," Orion said with a sudden surge of power engulfing him. 

[Don't hold back, this is the perfect chance to see your upper limit,] Merlin said on the side. 

'Huh ? are you sure? Shouldn't I show what I am capable of ?' Orion asked with trepidation in his tone. Like he was reluctant to use his full power. It was now more apparent with him messing up not so recently.

[No there is no point hiding the power if you can't use it when necessary. Currently, you are not even aware of how much power to use and when. It's in fact even worse than lacking power.

You already saw first-hand what can happen when you're unaware of your own capabilities.] Merlin made a sharp remark about it. And after giving it a second thought, even Orion had to agree that what the old man was saying had truth to it. 

Power, no matter how overwhelming, is pointless if he can't even use it when times call for it. 

"Orion," Daphne called out, getting close to him while still clenching his left hand. 

Orion who was torn between whether to use his full power or not immediately sober up. After seeing that worried face of the girl, he berated himself internally for even being stupid enough to waste time thinking about what he should do. There is no other thing to do in the first place. 

Use your best to beat this fuckers. 

But there was one more thing in his mind, after all, Daphne was not the only girl he cared about, and the other one was in more danger considering how close she was to the sky. 

Looking past her, he snap his head toward Rose. 

And there he saw the girl was already getting attacked by the Dementors. Though she was really good at manoeuvring in the air with her broom but there was a limit of how much she can avoid those damn creatures, there were thousands of those bastards around.

And it just happens to be the time, that when Orion finally looks at Rose, she got passed out after getting sucked on her happy thoughts by the Dementors around her. And fell from her Broom. 

Orion eyes widened, it was like time almost stopped there. Rose wasn't as high up as Harry there was enough time to leisurely cast a spell to help her. But at the same time, it was high enough that it could kill her even after her magic protected the girl.

And that was when Orion's magic broke out. An immense amount of Magical waves even make people close to him take a step back, let alone those darn Dementors who immediately back off after the pure magic starts to burn them. 

Orion needed no Patronus, his own natural magic acted much like the spell. 

He shot out his hand towards the falling girl, and with all of his intent and power of Law stop the fall of Rose from hundreds of meters away. 

Next, he waved his hand to make the passed-out girl float to him with high speed and there was so much pure magic surrounding her that dementors couldn't get close to her. 

"Rose," Daphne also noticed what Orion was doing at this time, and soon when the passed-out girl came flying to her, Daphne was the first one to release the tight clench around Orion's left arm to receive her best friend. 

Orion too was worried about Rose but before he could check on her, McGonagal Once again shouted. 

"Orion, leave Rose be. She will be fine. Others need help," She shouted. Seeing that more dementors have come following Rose flying across the stadium, courtesy of Orion himself.

"Fine, Have it then," Orion eyes suddenly glow. And no this time it was a real glow like glowing eyes glow.

All the Restrain he had in his Magic and Law was thrown out of the window the moment he saw Rose in this condition anyway. 

"EXPECTO PATRONUM," Orion shouted after extending his hands up. 

And next came the dazzling light which made almost everyone baffled.

At this exact time, when others were not looking. Certain individuals entered the Hogwarts area. But apparently, they never move towards the castle itself. Or more like they can't.

What they did was rather move towards the stadium.
